Swerve Strickland became the AEW World Champion by defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, MO

Samoa Joe became the AEW World Champion by defeating MJF at AEW Worlds End from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

MJF captured the AEW world title from Jon Moxley at Full Gear in Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center. At age 26, MJF became the youngest wrestler to ever hold the championship.

Jon Moxley became the first three-time AEW World Champion at Dynamite: Grand Slam in Queens, NY at Arthur Ashe Stadium. He defeated Bryan Danielson in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions final.

CM Punk became a two-time AEW World Champion in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois at the NOW Arena. Punk avenged his loss to Jon Moxley 11 days earlier with a pinfall victory at All Out.

Jon Moxley scored the quickest world championship victory in AEW history on Dynamite at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH. Moxley pinned lineal champion CM Punk in just 3:10 in a match to determine the undisputed champion.

Jon Moxley defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi in a tournament finale to become interim AEW World Champion at Forbidden Door in Chicago at the United Center. CM Punk was originally scheduled to defend the title against Tanahashi at Forbidden Door but was pulled from the match due to injury.

CM Punk pinned Hangman Adam Page to win the AEW world title at Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.

Hangman Adam Page captured the AEW world title at Full Gear in Minneapolis, MN at the Target Center. Page pinned his former tag-team partner Kenny Omega using the buckshot lariat.

Kenny Omega won the AEW world title by beating Jon Moxley on a special edition of Dynamite: Winter Is Coming at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL. Omega would proceed to hold the championship for an AEW-record 346 days.

Moxley won the AEW world title for the first time at the inaugural Revolution pay-per-view show in Chicago at Wintrust Arena. Moxley used the paradigm shift to end Chris Jericho’s 182-day title reign.

Chris Jericho pinned Hangman Adam Page to become the first AEW World Champion at All Out in Chicago.
