Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) became the first three-time AEW world tag team champions by winning a ladder match against FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) at AEW Dynasty in St. Louis, MO at the Chaifetz Arena.

Sting and Darby Allin defeated Ricky Starks and Big Bill in a Tornado Tag Match to become AEW world tag team champions on the February 7th, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite in Phoenix, AZ at the Footprint Center. The titles were vacated after Sting's final match at Revolution 2024.

Ricky Starks and Big Bill defeated FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) to become AEW world tag team champions on the October 7, 2023 episode of AEW Collision in Salt Lake City, UT at the Maverik Center.

FTR won a titles-vs.-careers match against The Gunns to become two-time AEW world tag team champions on Dynamite in Long Island, NY at the UBS Arena.

The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn) defeated The Acclaimed to become AEW world tag team champions on Dynamite in El Paso, TX at the El Paso County Coliseum.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) became the AEW world tag team champions by beating Swerve In Our Glory at Dynamite: Grand Slam in Queens, NY.

Swerve In Our Glory (Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland) made Young Bucks the shortest-lived world tag team champions in AEW history at 28 days. Lee & Strickland captured the belts in a three-way match vs. the Bucks & Powerhouse Hobbs/Ricky Starks on Dynamite: Fyter Fest in Savannah, GA at the Enmarket Arena.

Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) became the first two-time AEW world tag team champions on Dynamite: Road Rager in St. Louis, MO at the Chaifetz Arena. The Bucks did so by winning a ladder match vs. Jurassic Express (“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry & Luchasaurus).

Jurassic Express (“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) made history on the first Dynamite episode on TBS from Newark, NJ at the Prudential Center. Perry & Luchasaurus ended the 122-day reign of the Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo)

The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) ended Young Bucks’ AEW-record world tag team title reign at 302 days with a steel cage match victory at All Out in Chicago at NOW Arena.

Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) kicked off the longest AEW world title reign to date by beating FTR. This highly-anticipated match took place at Full Gear from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.

After making their June 2020 debut, FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) continued blazing through AEW’s tag team division by winning their ninth straight tag team match and, in the process, the world tag team titles. FTR ended Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page’s reign at 228 days with a victory at All Out from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.

Two very different people outside the ring displayed amazing chemistry inside it when Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page topped SCU (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) for the AEW world tag team titles. The match took place on the Jericho Cruise and aired one day later on the January 22, 2020 edition of Dynamite.

SCU (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky): An attack by the Lucha Bros. that injured SCU member Christopher Daniels led to Scorpio Sky taking his place with Frankie Kazarian in the AEW world tag team tournament. Sky & Kazarian became such a dominant force that they would beat the Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) in the final to become AEW’s first world tag team champions.
