AEW Adds ESPN Pro Wrestling Awards to Best of 2025 Awards from Sports Illustrated, More

AEW ESPN Pro Wrestling Awards

We're already a week into 2026, yet as more and more publications look back on an incredible 2025, AEW continues to be honored with more awards for all of the professional wrestling that you the fans enjoyed so much last year.


In addition to the 10 awards from Sports Illustrated previously announced, including SI's Top Promotion of 2025 honor, AEW was the recipient of four awards from ESPN in their Pro Wrestling Awards, as well as multiple other awards across the major sports media outlets including Yahoo Sports (Uncrowned), The New York Post and SiriusXM Busted Open.


TALENT AWARDS


  • Kyle Fletcher (5): Swept Breakout Wrestler of the Year awards -- SI, Yahoo! Sports, ESPN, the New York Post and SiriusXM Busted Open

  • Hangman Adam Page (3): Won male wrestler of the year in SI, Yahoo! Sports and the New York Post

  • Mercedes Moné (2): Female wrestler of the year awards from Sports Illustrated and SiriusXM Busted Open

  • FTR (2): Tag Team of the Year from SI and ESPN

  • Don Callis (2):  Manager of the Year from SiriusXM Busted Open and the New York Post (2)

  • The Hurt Syndicate (1): Tag Team of the Year by Yahoo! Sports


PROMOTION AWARDS


  • Two separate AEW events were recognized as show of the year across four outlets:

    • AEW Double or Nothing was recognized by Sports Illustrated, Yahoo! Sports and the New York Post (3).

    • AEW Revolution was recognized by ESPN.

  • Hangman’s redemption arc was recognized by SI, Yahoo! Sports and the New York Post as the storyline of the year (3). Toni Storm vs. Mariah May was ESPN’s storyline of the year.
