AEW Collision Preview

We’ve come to the end of our residency at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. And with just one week until All Out in Toronto, tensions are high for AEW Collision – airing Coast-to-Coast at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/6 p.m MT/5 p.m. PT TONIGHT on TNT and streaming on HBO Max!

Daniel Garcia shocked everyone when he brutally attacked Darby Allin and aligned with the Death Riders as AEW Dynamite came to a close this past Wednesday night. Tonight, in his first match as a member of the group, Garcia teams with Jon Moxley to face former Garcia allies Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong of Paragon.

Meanwhile, the AEW Unified Championship Eliminator Tournament begins with two huge matches. AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm will be on commentary for a match with $500K up for grabs in a 5-on-5 Collision. Plus, we’ll hear from both Mark Briscoe and MJF and much more.

Here’s your complete AEW Collision preview for September 13, 2025.

AEW Collision Matches, Preview for Saturday, September 13

AEW Unified Championship Match: “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Michael Oku

At All Out next Saturday in Toronto, we’ll see the AEW Unified Championship defended in a 3-Way Match. First, an AEW Unified Championship Eliminator bracket begins tonight on AEW Collision to determine two of those three spots, including Kazuchika Okada defending the AEW Unified Title against Michael Oku.

It’s hard to deny Okada’s claim of being the best tournament wrestler alive. He backed that up by winning the 2024 Continental Classic to successfully defend the AEW Continental Championship, a title he’s now held for 542 days, in part during his AEW Unified Championship reign. That’s also part of his record-setting eight major tournament victories, including winning the G1 Climax in NJPW four times.

We last saw Oku teaming with “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight of JetSpeed against Ricochet and GOA on the Forbidden Door Zero Hour, but he’s also been quite active in CMLL over the last month. Can Oku defy the odds and beat the greatest tournament wrestler alive? Or will Okada successfully defend his AEW Unified Championship, then have to do it a second time at All Out?

Daniel Garcia & Jon Moxley of the Death Riders vs. Paragon’s Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong

Just days after Daniel Garcia violently pledged his allegiance to the Death Riders at the expense of Darby Allin, he will tag with Jon Moxley to take on two men he considered allies and maybe even friends, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong of Paragon.

Garcia didn’t just save Moxley from Allin on Dynamite; he punished Allin over and over again, because that’s what Moxley wanted him to do. On the other hand, O’Reilly and Strong tagged with Garcia multiple times over the last year, but that relationship has undoubtedly soured with Garcia’s new decision.

Has Moxley created a monster? How will Paragon handle their old partner? This tag team match is full of intrigue against a perfect backdrop of the 2300 Arena!

$500K 5-on-5 Collision Featuring AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm on Commentary: Jamie Hayer, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, Tay Melo, & Anna Jay vs. Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, & Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue)

Before AEW Women's World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm defends her championship in a 4-Way Match next Saturday at All Out, she’ll have a ringside seat on commentary to see all three of her opponents (and seven other women) in action trying to win half a million dollars!

Two of those challengers will have to put their differences aside to team up. On Dynamite, Jamie Hayter mistakenly clotheslined Kris Statlander in an attempt to help her against Triangle of Madness.

The third, Thekla, will look to make another strong statement after dropping Storm and posing over her lifeless body on Dynamite. “The Toxic Spider” has plenty of cohesive backup with Julia Hart and Skye Blue, as they once more work with the formidable combo of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford.

Who takes home the big bucks? And who takes some momentum into All Out week?

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs. Adam Priest & “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington

One week before they take on Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in a first-time-ever showdown in Toronto at All Out, FTR will square off in a tag-team rematch against Adam Priest and “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington.

Two weeks ago, it was Priest and JD Drake taking FTR to the limit inside the 2300 Arena. Then, days later, Priest got into it with FTR when he objected to their actions during a brawl with Copeland and Cage that he and others tried to break up. FTR scolded him for trying to pick a fight and challenged him to find a partner to face them on last week’s Collision.

Priest picked Tommy Billington, an opponent Harwood had faced in the past. Although Dax and Cash walked away victorious last week, it was clear Priest and Billington made an impression. That brings us to tonight’s rematch – and what should be another incredible fight just days ahead of FTR’s big showdown in Toronto.

AEW Unified Championship Eliminator Tournament: “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family vs. Anthony Bowens

While Okada has every right to call himself the greatest tournament wrestler alive, “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita has something in common with the AEW Unified Champion: a victory in the G1 Climax, which he achieved last month. Now, he has a chance to win another tournament, as he looks for a spot in the AEW Unified Championship 3-Way Match at All Out.

Bowens, conversely, continues to look for answers and can’t seem to get over the idea of anyone caring about Max Caster. Could this be the win Bowens needs to truly forge his own path in AEW? Is Takeshita’s run of greatness anywhere near stopping? And what about the potential of a showdown with Okada, if both Takeshita and the champion win their respective matches tonight?

What Will Mark Briscoe Choose?

Mark Briscoe already agreed to face MJF at All Out next Saturday, but he made him wait for the stipulation, which MJF said Briscoe can name. That wait ends tonight.

So what does the unpredictable Briscoe have in store for MJF after months of battling physically, verbally, and psychologically? Did MJF bite off more than he can chew?

CMLL World Champion MJF Appears

Not only will we find out the stipulation for his match at All Out with Mark Briscoe, but MJF will appear in the 2300 Arena just one week after he cost Briscoe his match with Konosuke Takeshita, thwarting Briscoe’s chances of becoming TNT Champion.

MJF’s mind hit a level of obsession that caused him to leave his wife at home a day after they were married to take out Briscoe. MJF said no matter what the stipulation, he’d be coming down the aisle to tell Briscoe, “I do.”

These two combustible elements are under the same roof tonight in Philadelphia!

Max Caster's Open Challenge!

Who can survive five with the Best Wrestler Alive™? Philadelphia has the privilege of that question being answered tonight on the final AEW Collision of this residency in the City of Brotherly Love!
