AEW Collision Results for May 25, 2024

CONTAINS SPOILERS

It’s DOUBLE OR NOTHING weekend! AEW COLLISION was broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV!

It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! Saturday night’s alright for fighting!

Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley came out to the ring!

Don Callis walked onto the ramp and down to Moxley.

Callis: “I have something important to say. Jon, I didn’t come out here to cause any trouble. I just wanted to talk about our history together. On my second night in this company, I cost Jon Moxley the World Title.

“But Jon, you got your revenge. You literally got your pound of flesh. But I helped you pin Kenny Omega two months later. And on that night, without knowing it, you and I helped change the course of All Elite Wrestling. When I look in the mirror in the morning, I see the scar on my forehead. You put it there. For most people that would be a deal breaker. But you and I are not like most people. Here’s something a lot of people don’t know. When I was in that ambulance that night, you opened the door and came in. You put your hand on my shoulder and said, ‘You’re one of us now.’ I looked in your eyes and I saw nothing.

“The worst kept secret in pro wrestling is you and I are a lot of like. We both see everything, but we feel nothing. We are high functioning sociopaths. We got together and you beat Kenny Omega. When you told me ‘You’re one of us now,’ you’re right. I didn’t have to help Takeshita to beat Omega. You fight Takeshita tomorrow. I don’t want this match to happen.

“Imagine, just once, if we’re pushing in the same direction. No Tony Khan could stop us. We’d do whatever we’d want. Imagine what this could be like. I’m one of you. You’re one of me. You’re not alone. You and I are the same. Let’s use this segment to make an announcement. Tell me what we need to do to get this done, Jon.”

Moxley: “I just have one question. If you and I are going to trust each other, I’m going to need a little more of a commitment than that baby scar. So how about I put 24 more stitches in your big bald head right now.”

Takeshita ambushed Moxley from behind! Takeshita grabbed a steel chair and placed Moxley’s arm between the chair. Takeshita jumped off the turnbuckles and stomp on Moxley’s arm, which was sandwiched between the chair!

Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli sprinted to the ring and Callis and Takeshita retreated!

“MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer & The Righteous—Dutch & Vincent

vs.

Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, & NJPW President “The Ace” Hiroshi Tanahashi!

“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard joined the broadcast booth for this match.

Dutch and Claudio rammed into each other like two bulls. Dutch slammed Claudio with ease. Claudio fired back with a big double stomp to Dutch. Garcia and Vincent tagged in. Garcia kicked Vincent repeatedly in the corner.

Garcia dropped Vincent on his back with a suplex. Garcia tagged in Tanahashi. Archer tagged in but ate some forearms from Tanahashi. “The Ace” leveled Archer with a running forearm, but Archer came back with a big cross body.

Claudio grabbed Dutch and hurled him around the ring with the Giant Swing! Archer cut him off though. Claudio picked up Archer with a massive vertical suplex. Tanahashi climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Archer clipped him with a running knee strike.

The Righteous double teamed Tanahashi and Vincent tried to cover Tanahashi, but Claudio broke up the pin attempt. Tanahashi dropped Vincent with the Sling Blade. Tanahashi finished off Vincent with the High Fly Flow from the top rope and pinned Vincent! Tanahashi and Garcia celebrated by dancing after the match, but Claudio just walked off.

Unified World Trios Champions The Gunns—Austin & Colten Gunn

vs.

The Lucha Bros.—Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix (with Alex Abrahantes)!

If the Lucha Bros win tonight, the titles will be on the line tomorrow in the Bang Bang Gang vs. the Death Triangle match at Double Or Nothing.

The Lucha Bros attempted a double thrust kick, but the Gunns ducked it, and the Lucha Bros inadvertently kicked one another. The Gunns double suplexed Penta, with Austin covering Penta for a near fall. Austin tied Penta’s mask to the bottom rope and Colten hit Penta while Austin distracted the referee.

Rey Fenix entered the fray and hit a double cross body press from the top rope onto the Gunns. Rey splashed Colten for a near fall. Rey went back up top, but Austin knocked him down. Austin smashed Rey Fenix with the Fame Asser, but Penta jumped in to break up Austin’s pin attempt.

The Gunns went for the 3:10 to Yuma but the Lucha Bros escaped. The Lucha Bros set up Austin with the Fear Factor. Rey Fenix stuffed Austin, Penta spiked Austin and then scored the pin!

As of result of the Lucha Bros’ victory, tomorrow night it’ll be the Bang Bang Gang defending their Unified World Trios Championship against Death Triangle at Double Or Nothing!

FTW Champion Chris Jericho had strong words for Shibata and HOOK ahead of his match tomorrow.

“When you’re Chris Jericho, “The Learning Tree,” you have to be willing to face all different types of opponents!” said Jericho.

“The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith walked onto the set and interrupted Jericho. Keith said he may have missed his shot, but this wasn’t the last Jericho has seen of him.

Kyle O’Reilly vs. KM!

Kyle had KM in a guillotine. KM stumbled backwards. Kyle quickly applied an arm bar and forced KM to tap out!

“Impressive victory for Kyle O’Reilly,” said Nigel.

We heard from TBS Champion Willow Nightingale ahead of her match against “The CEO” Mercedes Moné taking place tomorrow at AEW Double Or Nothing 2024!

Willow walked out accompanied by Kris Statlander.

Willow: “It feels really great to be here on the fifth anniversary of All Elite Wrestling. And Collision is on TBS tonight. And you cannot have Collision on TBS without the face of TBS. But I’m thinking about last night on Rampage. And somebody else put their hands on my TBS Championship. Mercedes Moné has been here for about two months, and I keep talking about how much I respect her. But we are way past respect. Tomorrow I’m going to wreck you!

“I know championships come and go but I’ll be damned if tomorrow I lose my championship, because for years I’ve been working toward my dream. I was nearly paralyzed when I broke my neck five years ago before I even got here. But now I get to live my dream as TBS Champion.

“So, Mercedes I’m just getting started. You say I cannot beat you at 100%. But I know you cannot beat me at any percent, because last year I did just that. And tomorrow at Double Or Nothing, I’m going to prove that the better woman is Willow Nightingale.”

Lexy Nair was backstage to interview Trent Beretta!

Trent: “I’ve already said everything I have to say about Orange Cassidy. Tomorrow night I show the whole world something I’ve already known for a long time.”

Rocky Romero interrupted Trent.

Rocky: “I know we haven’t talked in a while. There’s a lot of memories between you, me, OC, Chuck, and whatever happens tomorrow night, I hope we can put this behind us. Because we’re more than best friends, we’re like family.”

Trent: “That’s never going to happen. And don’t ever interrupt me again.”

Four-Way Tag Team Match!

The Acclaimed—Max Caster & Anthony Bowens (with Daddy Ass)

vs.

The Infantry—Capt. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo (with Trish Adora)

vs.

House of Black’s Buddy Matthews & Brody King

vs.

Gates of Agony—Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona (with Brian Cage)!

Brody and Toa stared at one another. They collided in the center of the ring and traded forearms. Buddy grabbed the ropes, lowered them, and Toa tumbled out of the ring. Brody hit a tope and crash landed onto a pile of both teams outside the ring!

Buddy superplexed Max Caster for a two-count. Buddy body slammed Caster and Brody followed up with a big senton splash. The Infantry hit a double thrust kick on Buddy. Then the Infantry and Caster knocked Brody down with a triple thrust kick.

The Infantry tried to kick and slug Brody King down. They went for a double suplex, but Brody blocked it. Buddy and Brody wiped out the Infantry in the ring. Brody cannonballed Carlie in the corner while Buddy dropkicked Carlie. Buddy covered Carlie and grabbed the pin for the victory!

TNT Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland had a message for Malakai Black!

Copeland: “Malakai, you took the one item that kept me tethered to this world. I’ve been walking this path before your balls dropped. But you showed me that I need to go back to the pits, from the outside looking in. You wanted this version of me, that has a devil on one shoulder, but no angel to be found. It’s fitting that this barbed wire cage match takes place in the City of Lights. You said if I lose, I bend a knee and join the House of Black.

“Can you imagine the force we’d be. Our currency is nightmares. This is a horror story. Has it ever dawned on you Malakai that I’ve used this to get closer to the House? What if I defeat you and the House joins me? Buddy and Brody know the devil that lives in my heart. I’ve been known to be a master manipulator. The House of Blood? That’s something I can sink my teeth into. Questions, so many questions. But Malakai, know this fact: when you see evil in a man’s eyes, it’s already too late.”

Mariah May vs. “Legit” Leyla Hirsch!

Mariah chopped Leyla. Leyla fired back with forearms and then a belly to belly suplex. Mariah rallied back with a shotgun dropkick. Leyla went for a moonsault, but Mariah moved out of the way.

Mariah blasted Leyla with a pump kick and then a beautiful back drop driver. Mariah went for the hip attack, but Leyla dodged it and nailed Mariah with a German Suplex. Mariah headbutted Leyla and smashed her with a knee strike and then pinned Leyla!

Lexy Nair was backstage with “The Professor” Serena Deeb!

Deeb: “Tomorrow night against Toni Storm is the biggest night of my career. Double or Nothing, or what I like to call it, Deeb or Nothing. Toni, I am going to stretch you limb from limb and it’s been a long time coming. Tomorrow I will finally become AEW Women’s World Champion. “Timeless” Toni Storm? More like “Times Up” Toni Storm!”

Collision Main Event Time! Trios Match!

“American Dragon” Bryan Danielson & FTR—Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood

vs.

Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, & Satnam Singh (with Sonjay Dutt & Karen Jarrett)!

Jarrett took down Danielson with arm drags. Lethal tagged in. Danielson leveled Lethal with a kick to the spin. Dax grabbed a tag and he and Cash worked Lethal over in the corner. Cash battered Lethal with punches and then an atomic drop. Satnam grabbed Cash by the throat and dropped him across the top rope. Satnam walloped Cash with a gigantic chop to the chest.

Dax tagged in and cleaned house on Lethal and Jarrett. Dax rolled up Lethal in a small package for a near fall. Satnam entered the match. He palmed Dax Harwood by the throat and bounced him off the mat repeatedly. Satnam put a claw on Dax. Cash jumped in to make the save but Satnam threw Cash out of the ring.

Danielson took the fight to Jarrett with strikes and kicks. Danielson followed up with a running lariat. Danielson put Jarrett in the LeBell Lock but Lethal ran into the ring to break up the move. Cash and Danielson wiped out Jarrett and Lethal with topes. Satnam charged at Dax, Dax moved, and Satnam collided with the steel ring post.

Back in the ring, FTR and Danielson surrounded Satnam. All three of them took turns kicking Satnam. Dax and Cash nailed Satnam with an FTR Trigger! Jarrett tried for the Stroke on Danielson, but Danielson blocked it. Karen Jarrett slid in the guitar to Jeff. The ref saw this and took the guitar back. Karen and the ref were arguing. As the ref was distracted, Sonjay slid a chair to Jeff. Jeff went to hit Danielson with the chair, but Danielson moved, and Jeff accidentally hit Satnam! Danielson rocked Jeff Jarrett with a knee strike! FTR crushed Lethal with the Shatter Machine. Danielson covered Jarrett and pinned him!

Cash: “2020, FTR made their debut in AEW. Four years ago, at that very moment, AEW became our home. AEW is where we will live, breathe and die. Everybody, wrestling fans, are better off because of AEW. Wrestlers are better off because of AEW. The entire wrestling world is better off because of All Elite Wrestling! The three of us and Darby might limp in tomorrow night, but we’re the only four walking out of that match!”

Dax: “A lot of people ask why we’re fighting for AEW. We’re fighting for every single man and woman who goes to their work, has a terrible day at their job, flips on AEW and for that one moment in time, all of your problems are gone. That’s what I’m fighting for. If we die tomorrow at Anarchy In The Arena, one more time we get to be your hero! Top guys out!”
