Renee Paquette interviewed Kris Statlander backstage!

Statlander: “TBS Champion “The C.E.O.” Mercedes Moné is one of the best, and you can expect anything and everything from me during my match with Mercedes next week at Full Gear. She’ll do anything she can to win and she’s most dangerous when her back is against the wall, which is exactly where she is.”

Hikaru Shida: “Good luck in your title match. It’s about time someone beats Mercedes and when you become the new TBS Champion, I want to be your first challenger.”

Statlander: “All right, I’m up for an open challenge any time, so let’s do this, Wednesday, Dynamite.”

Shida: “Let’s do it.”

“We are set for Full Gear!” said Tony Schiavone.

Lexy Nair interview FTR—Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood—backstage!

Cash: “I don’t know what direction we go from here. We lost our titles over a year ago. We’ve had a few chances to get them back, and we haven’t. Maybe it’s not our time. Maybe we need to reevaluation.”

Dax: “Maybe so but the best team won on Dynamite that night. And we can cry about it, or we rebuild. And that’s what we’re going to do. And it’s the Outrunners time right now. And after Full Gear, maybe we can have the Outrunners against FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Boys, we’re pulling for you.”

AEW Women’s World Championship No DQ Rubber Match!

Mina Shirakawa ran down to the ring to help Mariah May celebrate.

At Full Gear Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa will have a champagne championship celebration.

Up next: we heard from AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, with Marina Shafir!

Moxley: “I underestimated Orange Cassidy. I pushed him in the ring before, but this sport is about so much more than what goes on in between the ropes. I thought when I broke Chuck Taylor’s neck one of two things would happen. Either he would turn into a puddle of tears or he’d back into a corner and snap back. Neither of those happened.

“I don’t think he even went to the hospital with Chuck Taylor. He doesn’t care about Wheeler Yuta. He’s full of it. Orange Cassidy is a snake. Cold blooded. Unnerved. The test will be this Wednesday when you face your former student. Will you strike with venom, or will you keep it clean? Man, I wish I was cold blooded. But I’m not. I feel everything, not just the weight of the AEW World Championship, I feel the weight of the last five years.

“I feel the weight of everybody else’s mistakes and broken promises. I feel the weight of all the fans who take off from work and pay for parking. You don’t like the way I do things, you’ll have the chance to knock the crown off my head at Full Gear.

“You want to ride with me? We ride into battle every single day and you’d better be ready to die on your shield every single day. If you’re not, get out, or you’ll be taken out.”
