AEW Dynamite Preview

The holiday spirit of professional wrestling will be on full display for AEW Dynamite and Collision Holiday Bash! The 3-Hour Special starts at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TBS and streaming on HBO Max from Co-op Live in Manchester, England!

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page will put pen to paper in a contract signing for their AEW World Title 3-Way at AEW Worlds End. In a $1 Million Winner-Take-All Trios Match, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks will try to claim the cash against The Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero.

Meanwhile, the annual Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale returns with the final two competitors moving on to next week’s AEW Dynamite on 34th Street to fight one-on-one for the Dynamite Diamond Ring and a shot at the AEW World Title on January 14 at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage in Phoenix! And the Continental Classic is coming down the stretch with three pivotal matchups, as “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher tries to stay on top of the Gold League against PAC. In the Blue League, we’ll see Jon Moxley take on Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy face Máscara Dorada.

Plus, a huge 8-Woman Tag Match will go down in a bout full of champions, with TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and MegaProblems taking on AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions the Babes of Wrath and Timeless Love Bombs. And the AEW World Tag Team Championship will be on the line with FTR defending against Bang Bang Gang!

All that and much more goes down tonight on Holiday Bash in Manchester! Here’s your complete AEW Dynamite and Collision preview for December 17, 2025.

AEW Dynamite and Collision Holiday Bash Matches, Preview for Wednesday, December 17

$1 Million (€750,000) Winner-Takes-All Trios Match: The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Don Callis Family (AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero)

Don Callis tried to get the Young Bucks to join the Family. Instead, he pushed Matt and Nick Jackson into a reunion with Kenny Omega at Full Gear after the Bucks and Josh Alexander beat Omega and Jurassic Express to win the million-dollar prize.

The Bucks walked away from the money to help Omega, and Callis subsequently challenged them to find a partner to take on Okada, Takeshita and Hechicero with the million bucks back up for grabs. Omega accepted the Bucks’ offer, saying he’d fight the Family for free, so The Elite is back tonight in Manchester! Can they recapture their old magic (and seven figures)? Will Okada and Takeshita continue to butt heads?

AEW World Championship Contract Signing for Worlds End

Ten days before they meet at Worlds End, AEW World Champion Samoa Joe and his challengers, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, will make the match official with a contract signing in Manchester!

Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale

The annual tradition returns tonight, as the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale will see a plethora of AEW Stars trying to survive until the final two. Those two will then go one-on-one next week for the Dynamite Diamond Ring and a future shot at the AEW World Championship as part of AEW Dynamite on 34th Street!

With names like AEW National Champion Ricochet, Brody King, Mark Davis, Shelton Benjamin, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens already expressing their desire to be in this year’s Battle Royale, who will we see in the ring tonight on this special Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision?

Continental Classic Blue League: Jon Moxley (3 points) vs. Roderick Strong (0 points)

Surprisingly, Moxley and Strong are both coming off back-to-back losses. So even if they wouldn’t admit it, desperation might be setting in – and that could come out in violent ways during this match.

Strong and Moxley split their only two singles matches, with the most recent being a count-out win for Strong to earn the Blood & Guts advantage last month. Tonight, two dangerous men with their proverbial backs against the wall will fight on Holiday Bash!

Continental Classic Blue League: Orange Cassidy (3 points) vs. Máscara Dorada (3 points)

Both Cassidy and Dorada earned their first wins last week, and whoever wins tonight will be within striking distance of Claudio Castagnoli and Konosuke Takeshita at the top of the Blue League with seven points.

On AEW Dark: Stocking Stuffer, Cassidy, Dorada and fellow Blue Leaguer Roderick Strong were successful in Trios action, but tonight, Cassidy and Dorada will be opponents for the first time with three huge points on the line.

Continental Classic Gold League: “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (6 points) vs. PAC (3 points)

Last week, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher took his first loss of the tournament in a spectacular match with “Speedball” Mike Bailey. But Fletcher isn’t in the Continental Classic to earn style points, and neither is his opponent for tonight, PAC. PAC is also coming off a loss to Okada two weeks ago, so after being idle last week, he’s itching to get back in the ring and grind down Fletcher.

The Don Callis Family and the Death Riders have had an unspoken agreement to stay out of each other’s way, but that goes out the window tonight! Can Fletcher regain sole possession of first in the Gold League, or will PAC use his home-country advantage to make it a logjam at the top?

8-Woman Tag Match: AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) & Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) vs. TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena & MegaProblems (Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir)

The Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, made history last week when they beat Timeless Love Bombs to become the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions! Their championship celebration then saw those four women contemplate a potential rematch, before Mercedes Moné crashed the fun to run them all down. They in turn challenged her to a fight in Manchester, with Mercedes rounding out her team with some of the toughest women in AEW.

Add it all up, and eight of AEW’s best will go at it in this 8-Woman Tag Match that’s dripping in gold!

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (c) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robison and Austin Gunn)

A rivalry that’s been simmering for weeks finally comes to a head tonight in Manchester when FTR put their AEW World Tag Team Championship up against Bang Bang Gang!

Ever since FTR won the AEW World Tag Team Titles for a record-tying third time, Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn have made it clear that they want their shot, especially since they defeated FTR earlier in November on Collision. Can Bang Bang Gang do it again with the titles on the line? Or will the winningest team in AEW history remain the Top Guys of the tag team division?
