We have a special three-hour AEW Dynamite AND Collision tonight, LIVE at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, on TBS and streaming on HBO Max, from the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. There’s a lot to settle tonight as we move toward AEW Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 24, including another AEW World Championship match!
Last week on Dynamite, AEW World Champion Darby Allin promised TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight a shot at the AEW World Title after Knight successfully defended his TNT Title against MJF, as long as Allin beat Brody King to keep his championship in the main event. Allin did just that, while Knight followed up with a win over HOOK on Collision. Tonight, Knight has a chance to become a double-champion, while Allin tries to make it three successful AEW World Title defenses in as many weeks.
The ongoing issues between AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR and AEW World Trios Champions The Conglomeration will head to the ring tonight in a Double Jeopardy match between Dax Harwood and Orange Cassidy. If Harwood wins, FTR and “Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa will get a future shot at the AEW World Trios Titles, but if Cassidy wins, The Conglomeration will earn an AEW World Tag Team Championship match with FTR.
AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley had a front-row seat on commentary to see Juice Robinson and Ace Austin of Bang Bang Gang beat Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia on Collision. Robinson wants the AEW Continental Title, so tonight, he’ll face Moxley in an Eliminator Match. Plus, Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander will face Harley Cameron and Mina Shirakawa after Shida made the challenge on Collision, and much more.
Here's everything you need to know heading into this massive night of action with your complete AEW Dynamite & Collision preview for May 6, 2026.
AEW Dynamite Matches, Preview for North Charleston
AEW World Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. "The Jet" Kevin Knight
Darby Allin said this reign is a fifteen-minute ride. If last week was any indication, he means it. The AEW World Champion has now defended his title in back-to-back weeks, surviving bloody wars with Tommaso Ciampa and Brody King after beating MJF for the AEW World Title on Dynamite three weeks ago. By surviving King's bruising assault, Allin made good on his promise to Kevin Knight to beat Brody and give Knight a shot at the gold.
Knight handled his own challengers over the last week. On Dynamite, he retained the TNT Title against MJF, outlasting "The Salt of the Earth" with a well-timed small package following a low blow to counteract the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Then, Knight turned away HOOK on Collision. Now, "The Jet" gets the chance of a lifetime.
Here's the thing, though: These two have met before. Knight bested Allin in last year's Continental Classic, which, at the time, felt like a big upset. But the Darby Allin walking into North Charleston is not the same man who competed in the Continental Classic against Knight and had to bow out due to injury. Allin is a champion on a mission, defending the title he waited his entire career to win.
Knight is ready. Allin is relentless. TNT Champion vs. AEW World Champion for the world title. Tonight!
Double Jeopardy Match: AEW World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood of FTR vs. AEW World Trios Champion Orange Cassidy of The Conglomeration
Double the stakes. Double the chaos.
Here's the deal: if Dax Harwood wins, FTR and Tommaso Ciampa earn a future shot at the AEW World Trios Championship, currently held by The Conglomeration. Although the tag champions already have an "I Quit" New York Street Fight against Cage and Cope on their Double or Nothing plate, FTR and Stoke still want more.
If Orange Cassidy wins, he and a partner from The Conglomeration earn a future AEW World Tag Team Title match, a championship held by FTR. After Cassidy and company made Stoke eat a box of popcorn the hard way last week on Dynamite, the two sides brawled to the back, which allowed Cage and Cope to beat RPG Vice.
Cassidy vs. Harwood is such an interesting clash of styles, and we’ll see it happen for the first time tonight.
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: Death Riders’ Jon Moxley (c) vs. Juice Robinson of Bang Bang Gang
Juice Robinson has never shied away from a fight, because he has too much fire in his belly to back down. After teaming with Ace Austin to beat the Death Riders’ Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta on Collision, Robinson stared right into the eyes of the AEW Continental Champion and made his intentions clear by gesturing that he wanted Moxley’s title.
After winning a 10-man tag alongside Claudio Castagnoli, PAC and The Dogs, Moxley has another chance to show Will Ospreay what the Death Riders’ training will do for him. But Moxley knows he has a tough battle on his hands. While the Continental Champion owns a 5-1 lifetime singles record against Robinson, he’s well aware of what Robinson is capable of, especially since Robinson’s lone win against Moxley came in the 2019 G1 Climax. Can Robinson turn the Juice loose on Moxley, or will the leader of the Death Riders avoid his first singles loss in five months?
Tag Team Match: Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander vs. Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron
Last week on Dynamite, Shida and Statlander came agonizingly close to dethroning Divine Dominion for the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship before the dominant Megan Bayne and Lena Kross turned them away. What followed was just as dramatic as the match itself: In comments after Dynamite, a furious Statlander blamed Shida for the loss and said Shida's kendo stick became more of a liability than a weapon, also calling out Shida for kicking and suplexing Stat to use her as an involuntary weapon!
Shida promised to make it up to Statlander, so on Collision, she said it would be her and Statlander in a tag match against Mina Shirakawa and Harley Cameron! Can Shida and Statlander get on the same page in this tension-filled matchup, or will all these big personalities explode in an unknown level of anger and chaos?
