AEW Dynamite & Collision Results: September 23, 2026 – Ospreay and Moxley Come Face-to-Face Before All Out, Swerve and The New Level Retain Trios Titles, Bailey Joins United Empire, more
The final stop before AEW All Out brought us to Indiana for a live 3-hour special of AEW Dynamite and Collision. The tension was high just three days before AEW returns to Chicago for what should be an epic night of action that only AEW can deliver on pay-per-view! Before all that, there was much to settle tonight, including a pair of title matches and lots of All Out previews.
The night opened with AEW World Trios Champions Swerve Strickland and The New Level beating former champions The Demand in an excellent trios encounter. After the match, the champions had a tense exchange with their All Out opponents, “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido!
Both halves of the AEW World Championship match at All Out were in action before they meet in Chicago. AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley turned away Dezmond Xavier of The Rascalz in a Continental Eliminator. Later, Moxley watched from the commentary desk as AEW World Champion Will Ospreay and the newest member of United Empire, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, beat Claudio Castagnoli and Gabe Kidd! Moxley and Ospreay shared some final words face-to-face before Ospreay avoided a sneak attack from Kidd and dropped him in front of Mox!
AEW World Tag Team Champions Cage and Cope shared the same ring with both of their All Out opponents, FTR and the Young Bucks, ahead of the 3-Way Ladder match for the titles in three days. A heated back-and-forth led to a brief brawl between the six until security attempted to break it up until they were wiped out by the three teams in various fits of frustration!
TBS Champion Persephone beat Hyan with some help from the ropes and offered an open challenge for the TBS Title at All Out, as long as it wasn’t Hyan, Thunder Rosa or Maya World who answered the call. Hyan and Rosa, meanwhile, challenged Persephone and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. to face them next week on Dynamite in Pittsburgh!
Plus, Willow Nightingale and Thekla exchanged final words before they meet on Saturday and nearly came to blows before the end of the night. All that and so much more went down on Dynamite and Collision!

We Hear From The Demand and AEW World Trios Champions Swerve & The New Level!
We heard from Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona. Ricochet began, “As I look at you three, it shows me everything that is wrong with the current state of AEW. How you have thrown-together tag teams who haven't laid the foundation to actually call themselves teammates. When I chose Toa and I chose Kaun to have my back, I saw the future; I saw brotherhood. And no matter what anybody says, the struggles that we face will only make us stronger. So together, we will enter All Out as your new AEW Trios champions. And finally, this charade can be over.”
Kaun continued, “Y'all not even a real Trios. And we all know that Swerve, you cannot be trusted.”
Liona finished things by saying, “So we're actually doing you three a favor when we put you down and take back our trios championships!”
Then we heard from the champions, who were walking through the back on the way to the ring with Prince Nana. He said, “Hey, you want to attack us from behind? Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, don't forget who brought you into this world, my friends. And it definitely wasn't Ricochet. But you know what? The boss, the most dangerous man in AEW, Austin Creed, and my boy from the homeland, Kofi, they're going to take you guys out.”
Creed continued, “Because tonight, we got nothing but revenge on our minds. So please believe that we are walking out of that ring with these in hand.”
Then Creed and Kofi began to question the path of Swerve. “But before that, I got a question. So you were with Toa and Kaun, and Christian Cage paid them to beat you up. And then you had an arena full of people throw toilet paper at Ricochet until he got mad enough to stab you with scissors.”
“Yeah, that did happen.”
Kofi continued, “Well, that was in the past, man. Tonight is about that title, baby. That's right. Because we go on to beat The Demand tonight, and then we go to All Out where we face the team of Hangman Page, Brody King, and Bandido. But look, so now I gotta ask a question. Is this the same Bandido whose friends you hunted down and beat up in a saloon?”
Swerve confirmed, “A little bit of crime, yeah.”
Kofi went on, “And this is the same Brody King that you roughed up, bloodied up, and soaked with a steel chain?
Swerve responded, “Steel chain broke.”
Kofi still had more, “And you and Hangman, I don't even know where to begin with y'all history, man.”
Creed wondered, “You know what, in reality, before we showed up here at AEW, did you have any friends?”
Swerve’s music hit before he had a chance to answer.
AEW World Trios Championship Match: Swerve Strickland & The New Level (Austin Creed and Kofi) (c) def. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona)
Swerve and Kaun were about to start, but Ricochet tagged himself in and walked right up to Swerve with a forearm to the head. Swerve answered, and the two began to exchange. Swerve stopped Ricochet at the ropes, so Ricochet tried to send Swerve to the opposite side. Swerve put on the brakes and managed to catch Ricochet with a backbreaker across his knee. Kaun provided a distraction near the ropes, which allowed Ricochet to nail Swerve with a dropkick. Kaun tagged in and took Swerve down, but Swerve hit an up kick and made the tag to Creed.
Creed immediately went to work on Kaun in the corner and mounted him for punches before nailing a kick to the gut. He put Kaun on the second rope, leaving Kaun wide open for a dropkick between the shoulder blades. Kofi tagged in and crushed Kaun with a senton on the apron! Kofi came off the top with a huge crossbody, but Kaun kicked out at one! Kofi brought Kaun back to the corner so the champions could hit quick tags to isolate him. Creed and Kofi hit a double-team bulldog smash on Kaun, but when Kofi went to the ropes, Ricochet took him over with a low bridge to the floor! Creed took his eye off Kaun, so Kaun clocked him and tagged Liona. Kaun and Liona double-teamed Creed in the corner and brought him out with a double basket slam! Liona covered, but Creed kicked out. Liona continued to stay on Creed by choking him on the mat ,and the champions were in trouble!
Creed remained away from his corner and was unable to mount much of a comeback against The Demand. He finally broke free, but his partners were knocked off the mat. Creed battled back by knocking Liona and Kaun off the apron and taking Ricochet down with a Russian Leg Sweep out of nowhere! Ricochet sent Creed to the ropes, so he leaped over the top to the floor with a somersault dive to take out Kaun! Creed took Ricochet down with a guillotine stunner on the apron, but when he celebrated on the floor, Liona sent him flying over the announce desk with a massive shoulder tackle!
Liona tried to take a three-point stance running start at Kofi, but was picked off by Swerve with a flying kick! Ricochet flew over the ring post to take out Swerve with a dive! This match has completely broken down! Kaun and Liona held Swerve on their shoulders so Ricochet could come off the barricade with a Super Doomsday Device to the floor!
Creed was thrown into the ring, and Ricochet started to celebrate too early, so he walked right into a thrust kick from Creed! Kofi got back on the mat, and Creed made the tag. Liona stopped Liona and took down Kaun with a springboard attack. Kofi went back to Liona and bounced off the turnbuckles with a rebound dropkick! Kaun sent Kofi to the corner, so Kofi ran off the buckles and came down with a guillotine leg drop! Liona came back in and ran through Kofi with a huge shoulder block. Kaun and Liona stayed on Kofi with a Death Valley Driver/senton splash combo, but Creed came in to break up the pin attempt in time!
Creed unloaded on Liona in the corner with punches, so Liona grabbed him by the face and threw him into Kaun in the corner, who sent Creed over the top and down onto the steel steps! Kaun sent Kofi to the corner with a shotgun dropkick, which set him up for a hip check from Liona. Ricochet flew over the top onto Creed with a twisting body press. Back in the ring, Liona and Kaun sandwiched Kofi with clotheslines and followed with a high-velocity facebuster! 1-2-Kofi kicked out! Kaun was beside himself, and Ricochet couldn’t believe it!
The Demand connected on a series of strikes in the corner before Kaun pulled Kofi out for a cutter. Ricochet went to the top and connected on a 630 Splash! That has to be it! Ricochet covered, but didn’t see Swerve come back to break up the pin! Ricochet went at Kofi, who backdropped him and tried to get to Swerve for the tag, which he did! Swerve kicked Kaun off the apron, but Kaun’s boots got stuck in the ropes. Swerve took advantage with a stomp to Kaun’s chest! Liona knocked Swerve down, but Swerve came back in with a basement dropkick and a flatliner. Liona got right back up! Creed tried a flatliner that also had no effect.
Kofi staggered Liona with a hook kick so Creed could spike Liona with a DDT! Swerve came off the top with a 450 Splash and covered Liona, so Ricochet broke it up with a 450 Splash of his own! The crowd was on fire for this amazing opening contest!
Kofi fired up the crowd, but Liona caught him and hit a nasty headbutt. Creed came in, and Liona missed a charge in the corner, which caused him to hit the ring post. Creed picked up the much larger Liona on his back and squatted him up for a sit-out Death Valley Driver! What strength from Creed! Kaun put Creed down with a double underhook facebuster and stood right up into a House Call from Swerve! Ricochet nailed Swerve with a springboard clothesline! Kofi cracked Ricochet with Trouble in Paradise! Kofi rolled over Liona’s clothesline attempt and tried an S.O.S., but couldn’t get him over until Swerve cracked Liona with a House Call and Kofi flipped him over for the pinfall! What a match!
The champions celebrated after the match, but were interrupted by the challengers at All Out, “Hangman” Adam Page, ROH World Champion Bandido and Brody King.
Page offered measured congratulations to the new AEW World Trios Champions, acknowledging that the titles felt important in The New Level's hands, just as they had in his. He told Kofi and Austin Creed sincerely that he was glad they were there.
But the tone shifted. Page turned to Swerve Strickland and made clear that he didn't think either of his new partners truly understood who they had gotten themselves involved with.
Page noted that he had been gone for nearly five months, and that he returned to find championship gold around their waists – and suddenly, Swerve had partners. He wanted to know what Swerve was playing at.
Creed stepped in to answer for him. What Swerve was doing, Creed said, was teaming with the greatest team in professional wrestling and making sure the Trios Championships meant more than they ever had before.
Kofi and Creed pushed back on the skepticism directed at their partner. Swerve had been nothing but solid since joining up with them. King scoffed – it had been three weeks. Creed shrugged it off.
Page said give it time, and Swerve will show you who he truly is. Swerve said Page had some nerve. Swerve ran through trios of Page’s past: the Young Bucks, Jet Speed, and now Brody and Bandido. It was only a matter of time, Swerve warned, before Page left them hanging just like he left him. Swerve looked at Page and told him that he didn't get to decide who he was anymore. Two years ago, in the city of Chicago, the whole world saw exactly who Page truly is. And Page is no better or different than Swerve.
King jumped in to say that despite whatever history existed between those two, on Saturday at All Out, six of the best AEW had to offer would settle it inside the ring, the Trios Championships on the line, to determine who truly deserved to carry that division the way it was always meant to be carried. And we’ll see if three weeks was long enough to keep those belts. Bandido said those titles were the most wanted and belong to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!
“Speedball” Mike Bailey Joins United Empire
Renée Paquette was standing by with "Speedball" Mike Bailey and AEW World Champion Will Ospreay ahead of what promises to be a loaded Saturday at All Out, where Ospreay will put the title on the line against Jon Moxley. But first, tonight, Ospreay and Bailey team up to face Claudio Castagnoli and Gabe Kidd.
Renée noted that not many men would willingly step into the crosshairs of the Death Riders, yet Bailey did exactly that the previous Saturday, coming to the rescue when Ospreay's crew was ambushed. Ospreay acknowledged the history between himself and Bailey, the respect earned through battles all over the world, and confirmed that after Bailey's heroic act on Collision, he had asked him an important question: would Speedball fancy joining the United Empire? Tonight, he was going to get his answer.
Bailey didn't hesitate. He told Ospreay that he had watched him at Wembley Stadium, witnessed one of the greatest matches in pro wrestling history, and in that moment knew that was exactly the kind of person he wanted to stand next to. He acknowledged that his last partnership in AEW hadn't ended well, but this time, he said, would be different. He was in.
Ospreay lit up and got some additional encouragement from Francesco Akira, but had to cut him off before getting another fine for obscenity. As Ospreay and Bailey walked off, Ospreay asked if Bailey had anything in green.
Thekla Explains the Difference Between Her and Willow Nightingale
Inside everybody, Thekla explained, there are two bitches. There's the dumb bitch, the one who believes in love, happiness, and kindness. And then there's the real bitch. Stronger. More violent. The one who sinks her teeth into your neck and never lets go.
Did she really need to spell out which one Willow was?
Tonight, she said, she was heading out there with her friends to have a good time, because Thekla is for the children. And since Willow was a child too, maybe she could interest her in an autograph. Tonight, Thekla would be all nice. But on Saturday? It was going to get all toxic.
AEW Continental Title Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley (c) def. Dezmond Xavier
Moxley’s power was too much for Xavier initially, so Xavier used some tricks to annoy Moxley, including a trip. That seemed to incense Moxley, who unloaded on Xavier in the corner. Moxley ate a boot and was sent to the floor with a headscissors. Xavier tried to hit a crossbody to the floor, so Moxley rolled in. Xavier tried to follow, but was walloped by a big boot from Mox!
The champions remained in control by mounting Xavier for punches in the corner and tried for a piledriver, so Xavier escaped and knocked Moxley to the floor. He followed with a high-speed dive to take Moxley out on the outside. Back in the ring, Xavier hit a series of chops followed by a dropkick to Moxley’s back and a standing moonsault for a near-fall! Moxley got back up and dumped Xavier on his head with a German suplex. Xavier fought off a big kick for a flurry on Moxley that concluded with a cutter. Moxley still kicked out. Xavier tried to handspring off the ropes, but Mox caught it, so Xavier dropped down and hit an upkick. He went back to the ropes and caught Mox with a handspring kick on the second attempt. Moxley fired back with a huge lariat.
Xavier dropped Mox into the second buckle and went up top, but Moxley moved so Xavier landed on his feet. Moxley smashed him into the corner with a shotgun dropkick, only for Xavier to return with a Meteora! Xavier covered, but Mox kicked out and transitioned into a rear naked choke! Xavier was completely caught and had to tap out! Moxley wins!
AEW World Tag Team Champion Adam Copeland Has Words for TNT Champion Darby Allin and Steve Borden
Renee Paquette was standing by with TNT Champion Darby Allin and Steve Borden, noting that this Saturday at All Out, the two have a massive opportunity to become the number one contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships. But before they could look ahead to the weekend, someone had asked to speak with them.
AEW World Tag Team Champion Adam Copeland stepped in. He made clear how he felt about both men. Darby had his respect, and as for Borden, Copeland told him directly that he was going to be massive in this industry. He thanked them both for having his back the previous week.
But he had to be honest with them.
He had watched Collision. After their match, Borden had grabbed a microphone and declared that if they beat Fletcher and Knight at All Out, they wanted a shot at the Tag Team Championships. Copeland is one half of those champions.
As much as he appreciated the ambition, the kid wasn't just reaching for the stars anymore. He was reaching for legends. Maybe, Copeland suggested with a grin, ask your dad what that means.
Then he turned to Darby. Darby knows all about climbing mountains, about scaling Everest. That’ll be what it’s like if they come after him and Cage. Allin said there was so much he wanted to say. But for right now, with all due respect, challenge accepted.
Cage & Cope, Young Bucks and FTR Brawl Before All Out!
With all three teams gathered in the ring ahead of Saturday's ladder match at All Out, it was Stoke who spoke first on behalf of FTR, and he kept it brief. FTR, he said, had nothing left to say. The only reason they were even out there was to avoid getting fined, per the orders of the greatest boss in the world, Tony Khan. So let's wrap this up, he said. They had things to do.
The Young Bucks weren't having it. Matt Jackson stepped forward and laid it out plainly. Yes, FTR had nothing to contribute, and honestly, that tracked. Because when it came to this match on Saturday, they were the Dudley Boys.
The Bucks acknowledged the hard truth: multiple opportunities to win the titles back, multiple failures. FTR beat them at Revolution. They lost to Cage and Cope at All In. Their names are the Young Bucks, but they weren't getting any younger. They understood this might be their last real shot. But if it was, they were going to fight like hell to become the first four-time AEW Tag Team Champions.
Christian Cage had heard enough. He told Matt to put his mind at ease; this would be his last opportunity. And it was starting to genuinely irritate him, listening to all four of them bicker over who was going to make history as four-time champions. Because the fact of the matter was simple: Cage and Cope were one-time Tag Team Champions. And that's exactly the way it was going to stay.
There was no denying that both FTR and the Young Bucks were great teams. But greatness wasn't the issue. The difference, Cage made clear, was that Cage and Cope were generational. Cage wasn't done. He had a little ritual, he explained, that he liked to perform before big matches, and since he had already taken care of FTR's mothers, he had a question. He was very much looking forward to meeting the Young Bucks' mother this weekend in Chicago.
Cope jumped in and was going to cut to the chase: he was sick of listening to all four of them talk about who was going to be a four-time tag team champion while completely disregarding the legends standing right in front of them.
Copeland stepped in to back his partner up. Between the two of them, he said, they had been in over 40 — count them, 40 — ladder matches. So what exactly could any of them do that hadn't already been done, yet here they both stood. They had built a damn good career jumping off ladders, kid.
The Young Bucks weren't backing down. To be fair, Matt conceded everything Copeland just said was true. If it were 1999. The last time, he reminded Cope pointedly, that the last time anyone saw him jump off something high, he crippled himself for the better part of a year. That set Cope off, and he got right in Matt’s face, so Dax Harwood took the opportunity to say that as much as he wants to see them fight right now, but before he could say anything else, Cope nailed him and the brawl was on!
FTR got knocked out of the ring, and the Bucks took down Cage and Cope with superkicks! On the floor, Nick climbed a ladder, and Matt put Cash Wheeler on his shoulders, but security ran out to pull the teams away from each other. Matt hit a superkick on one security guard, and Nick took a host of others out with a crossbody from the ladder. FTR put another through a table! Security hit the ring to take chairs away from Cage and Cope, who were about to take out Stokely, but they overpowered them and delivered a Con-Chair-To to one unlucky security guard!
Willow Nightingale Is Ready for Thekla at All Out
Renee Paquette caught up with Willow Nightingale ahead of what promises to be a pivotal Saturday at All Out, where Willow has the opportunity to become the number one contender to the AEW Women's World Championship. But first, Renee took things back to All In, where Willow lost that very championship in an extraordinary fight, competing with a broken hand.
Willow said the hand was doing better. She'd had worse. And she wasn't going to make any excuses for that night. She and Mercedes were now two and two. They gave everything they had, kicked the hell out of each other, and there was nothing Willow wanted more than to settle that score. But to get there, she had to get through Thekla first.
She had a message for her. Thekla could talk all she wanted and say whatever it was she was going to say. But the last time the two of them wrestled with a world championship on the line, Willow hadn't even been a world champion yet. And she still won.
Now? Now Thekla was going to be facing a version of Willow Nightingale who had tasted that glory. And she had no idea how dangerous that could be.
She'll see Thekla on Saturday.
“Psycho KIller” Tommaso Ciampa def. Jake Doyle of the Don Callis Family
Doyle charged Ciampa at the bell, but he took over in the corner with kicks and followed with a flying clothesline. Ciampa threw Doyle to the floor, so Doyle tried to get right back in and was cracked with a running knee! Back in the ring, Ciampa tried for a bicycle knee, but he was flattened by Doyle’s massive body block. Doyle stayed on Ciampa and took him to the floor, where Don Callis provided encouragement from commentary. Ciampa escaped Doyle’s powerbomb attempt by rolling in the ring. Doyle went after him, so Ciampa spiked him with a DDT. Ciampa put Doyle in a chair near the barricade and crushed him with a running knee! Ciampa tried again, so Doyle grabbed him for a chokeslam into the chair!
Doyle continued to work on Ciampa’s surgically repaired neck until they battled on the top rope, where Ciampa hit a Psycho Driller! Doyle kicked out at two! Ciampa mocked Kazuchika Okada’s Rainmaker pose until Doyle grabbed his finger. Ciampa and Doyle exchanged strikes until Ciampa knocked Doyle to a knee. Doyle stopped Ciampa from getting away by standing on his foot and dropping him with a big forearm. Ciampa escaped another clothesline attempt and tried for his version of the Rainmaker, so Doyle ducked it, and Ciampa came back with an Okada-like dropkick! Ciampa dropped his knee pad and rushed at Doyle, who was ready and caught Ciampa for a sitout powerbomb! Ciampa kicked out!
On the outside, Doyle ran Ciampa into the barricade and threw him back in the ring. Ciampa escaped Doyle’s grasp with a big knee and then finished Doyle with a bicycle knee on the third attempt to get the pinfall victory.
Ciampa got the microphone and pointed at Callis. He said this was as much for Callis as Okada. He said Okada and Ciampa used to live on different islands, but now they live on the same island, so there’s no need to ask what if. Ciampa called out Okada, who came to the top of the ramp. Okada said Ciampa asked for The Rainmaker, but tonight, he won’t get him, and he’s so sorry. But on Saturday, he’ll get his wish, and Okada will get to show Ciampa isn’t on his level, bitch. Ciampa said in three more sleeps, Okada and everyone will see a Psycho Killer they’ve never seen before when he takes the AEW International Championship, bitch!
TBS Championship Match: TBS Champion and CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone (c) def. Hyan
Before the next match, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., came out ahead of Persephone and then joined the commentary desk. Both Hyan and Persephone tried a series of pin attempts at the start until Hyan hit a dropkick and an arm drag to take Persephone to the floor. She followed with a huge dive to the floor!
Persephone remained in control with a powerslam and a springboard moonsault, but Hyan managed to kick out at two. That angered Persephone, who took her eye off Hyan long enough for Hyan to get a boot up in the corner. She took Persephone down and came out of the corner with a running boot. Hyan followed with a side suplex for a near-fall. The two traded near-falls again and Persephone connected on a Northern Lights Suplex for a two-count. Persephone tried her crucifix powerbomb, so Hyan slipped out and pushed her into the top turnbuckle. Persephone stumbled back into a spear! 1-2-Persephone kicked out! Baker tried to downplay the closeness of the count.
Persephone baited Hyan into a charge in the corner, so she moved at the last moment, and Hyan collided with the turnbuckles. Persephone charged at Hyan, who tried to float over with a sunset flip, but Persephone sat down on top of her and grabbed the ropes out of the referee’s view to steal the three-count and earn the successful TBS Title defense!
AEW World Champion Will Ospreay & "Speedball" Mike Bailey of United Empire def. Death Riders' Claudio Castagnoli & Gabe Kidd
Bailey and Ospreay entered in matching green and gold gear to represent United Empire in Bailey’s first match as a member of the international faction! AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley joined commentary to watch his All Out opponent.
Bailey and Kidd opened things up with an exchange of strikes before Kidd knocked Bailey to the mat and tried a senton, but missed. Bailey kicked him in the chest and turned his attention to Castagnoli, which allowed Kidd to push Bailey over the top to the floor. Ospreay tried to come after Kidd, but was immediately worked over on the floor while Castagnoli did the same to Bailey. Ospreay popped up on the barricade and took down Castagnoli with a flying forearm.
Back in the ring, Bailey kicked Kidd out of the corner and followed with a second-rope dropkick. Ospreay tagged in and the two went into some double-team offense that allowed Ospreay to hit a skytwister press for a near-fall. Ospreay chopped Kidd in the corner, so Kidd bit his hand and tagged Castagnoli. They got an extended double-team on Ospreay while the referee was dealing with a complaining Bailey.
Ospreay tried a flying headscissors on Castagnoli, but was caught, so Bailey came in to kick Castagnoli in the back of the leg. Kidd charged into a pair of chops. Ospreay and Bailey sent Kidd and Castagnoli to the floor with stereo headscissors followed by stereo crossbodied to the floor. Castagnoli reversed a double suplex attempt to take over both Ospreay and Bailey! Kidd tagged in and quickly took over on Bailey.
Bailey was isolated by quick tags and double-teams until he managed to break free with a kick to the back of Kidd’s head. He dove to tag Ospreay, but Castagnoli pulled Ospreay off the apron. Bailey hit a springboard moonsault from the second buckle to Castagnoli on the floor. Kidd grabbed Bailey, but Bailey kicked the turnbuckle into Kidd’s head. Bailey went ot the top, so Kidd bit his foot! Bailey fought back and dropped down to powerbomb Kidd from the buckles to the mat!
Ospreay fired up the crowd, and Bailey finally made the tag! Ospreay took down Kidd and went after Castagnoli. He pushed through him with a step-up kick and attempted a suplex, but Castagnoli blocked it until Kidd came over to help. Ospreay suplexed him instead and then gave Castagnoli one as well. Ospreay caught Kidd with a corkscrew kick, but Kidd managed to kick out at two. Kidd ducked a Hidden Blade and connected on a headbutt. Ospreay tried to lock in Death Ground, but Castagnoli broke it up. Bailey came back and kicked Castagnoli to go for his own Death Ground while Ospreay tried it on Kidd. Castagnoli pulled Bailey up and powerbombed him on Ospreay to break up the submission!
Castagnoli had Kidd slam his own head into the turnbuckle to ramp himself up to attack Ospreay in the opposite corner. Ospreay got popped up into an uppercut, but Bailey dove in to make the save. Bailey and Kidd got into a strike exchange until Bailey dropped Kidd with a roundhouse kick! Castagnoli clotheslined Bailey over the top rope and leveled Ospreay with a lariat. Ospreay rolled into a near-fall only for Castagnoli to come back with a giant swing, but Ospreay countered into a DDT! He pulled Castagnoli up into the Styles Clash and connected for the win!
Bailey and Ospreay celebrated after the match and Ospreay got the mic. He looked around the arena and felt grateful because this place didn’t always exist, but now it does because of everyone here who works hard and he’s honored to be the AEW World Champion. As long as AEW has been alive, so has Jon Moxley. Ospreay said thanks for being the ace and for the guidance. And for breaking Ospreay, because it’s made him the man he is today. Moxley made it clear the AEW World Title is what it’s all about. He risked his life for what the title represents and now he’s ready to attack for a new generation. Moxley got dumped into an ocean with a great white shark because this time Moxley is the challenger and Ospreay is the champion.
Moxley got in the ring and asked if Ospreay if he feels like the champion. Before Ospreay can say anything, he ducked a sneak attack from Kidd, who stopped short of hitting Moxley only to be leveled by Ospreay! Ospreay told Moxley, “You’re f***ing right I feel like the champion.” Moxley exited and Ospreay left Kidd with some final words as he laid on the mat. That brought Dynamite to a close, as we moved into the Collision portion and final hour of the night!
“Jungle” Jack Perry Likes the Idea of Surviving Shibata to Get to Samoa Joe
This Saturday at Tailgate Brawl, Perry will face Katsuyori Shibata of The Opps per HOOK, who said Perry has to get through Shibata to get to Samoa Joe. Perry knows he has to walk amongst the killers to become a world champion and he likes the idea of surviving Shibata to gain access to a shot at Joe.
Divine Dominion Take Out AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions The Brawling Birds!
Back on top of the ramp, Renee Paquette introduced the Divine Dominion followed by the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Brawling Birds! After Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter came out, a tea set with crumpets was set up in between the two duos. It was revealed to be a gift from Megan Bayne and Lena Kross before they take back the titles on Saturday. The champs didn’t have much to say except may the best team win and they went after Kross and Bayne with the teaser! Bayne and Kross quickly gained the advantage and put both Hayter and Windsor down hard on the ramp with stereo body slams!
The Conglomeration Speaks After Last Week’s Dynamite
Kyle O’Reilly tried to give Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong a pep talk, but Strong angrily cut him off. He’s tired of doing things the right way and being a nice guy. He can’t be happy for people who are achieving what they are capable of doing as world champions. He just can’t do this anymore and walked off!
“The Jet” Kevin Knight & “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher of the Don Callis Family def. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum)
Floyd and Magnum had Dalton Castle accompany them to the top of the ramp as Don Callis rejoined the commentary desk. Floyd and Fletcher started things with Fletcher gaining an immediate advantage with a massive running big boot. He tagged Knight, and launched him into Floyd in the corner. Fletcher hip tossed Knight onto Floyd, which got a near-fall. Floyd tagged Magnum for some quick strike tandem offense, but Fletcher pulled Floyd away and threw him into the steel steps.
Knight choked Magnum in the corner with his boots and pulled on the ropes for some extra leverage. Fletcher came back in and helped send Magnum to the ropes. He hung on and sent a rushing Knight to the floor before Fletcher hit a running boot to send him to the floor. Knight jumped up the apron and came down on Magnum with a leaping clothesline.
The dominance continued with Fletcher hitting Magnum with a full-nelson slam to set up Knight for a basement shoulder tackle. Magnum managed to kick out and tried to get to the corner for a tag, but had to fight off Knight and Fletcher to get there. He sent Fletcher to the floor and nearly got to Floyd, but Knight was there for the block until he was back dropped and Magnum tagged Floyd!
Floyd hit a pair of scoop slams and the Outrunners worked Fletcher and Knight out of the corner with some innovative tag-team offense. They connected fists for a double elbow drop on Fletcher, but Knight came in to make the save on the pin attempt. Knight sent Magnum to the floor so Floyd sent Knight to the outside. Fletcher hit Floyd with a half-and-half suplex and booted Magnum off the apron with a thrust kick. Fletcher hit a massive running boot to Floyd in the corner and tagged Knight. Fletcher spiked Floyd with Sheerdrop Brainbuster and Knight finished Floyd with a UFO Splash for the pinfall victory!
After the match, Renee Paquette came in to ask if the win will give them enough momentum heading into All Out. Fletcher took the mic and said Allin and Borden will get burned when they fight at All Out. He admitted to Callis that he didn’t like Knight at first but they’re working together like a well-oiled machine or should he say, family. Fletcher said it’ll be a cake walk and they will become the new number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Darby Allin’s music hit, but neither he nor Borden came out. Instead we saw RPG Vice waiting at the top of the ramp to attack while Fletcher yelled from the ring. Allin and Borden appeared in the rafters and Allin said they aren’t running, they are waiting until All Out. He learned from dealing with Kevin Knight when he took the TNT Title from him. Knight said that only happened because he was attacked by the Borden Bunch and at All Out, they are playing by their rules. Knight said him and Fletcher are multi-time champions while Borden is a rookie, so as they said, it will be cake walk. Allin took exception to that and asked if it was because Borden was only in his third match? It’ll be really humbling when they lose.
Nick Wayne vs. Jericho Want to Fight at Grand Slam: France
Jericho came out and reminded everyone that he beat Nick Wayne last week and then got kicked in the plums. He’s giving Wayne another chance to come down and stand face-to-face with him tonight. Wayne came out in a suit and stopped on the apron instead of allowing Jericho to kick the rope again. Wayne made sure Jericho was backed up before he got in the ring. He wondered why he would listen to Jericho when everyone who listened to him wound up with a knife in their back. Jericho admitted that was true. Jericho feigned hitting Wayne, who flinched. Jericho ran down their career parallels, and then explained a story of Nick Bockwinkel giving him advice that Jericho blew off. What if he would have listened? What if he wasn’t such an arrogant prick, like Wayne is today. Wayne said he lost to Jericho, but that will never happen again. Wayne talked about his career and his worldwide success, but he might need to change who he is to beat Jericho. So if Jericho accepts his invite to face him at Grand Slam: France in 13 days, may the man who knows more, win. Jericho shook his hand and said Wayne isn’t a man yet because he’s still a kid who’s going to get the shit kicked out of him by Jericho again!
Hyan and Thunder Rosa are Coming for Persephone and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Next Week
Renee Paquette caught up with Hyan following her loss earlier in the night to TBS Champion Persephone. Hyan said Persephone and Britt Baker took out her partner, Maya World, and if Baker is going to call her “just a tag team wrestler” then here’s her new tag team partner. Thunder Rosa entered and asked if they remembered her? She was the one who left Baker in a pool of her own blood. Her and Hyan will be in Baker’s hometown of Pittsburgh next week to remind Baker and Persephone that you will never forget who they are.
Queen Aminata def. Wonder of Stardom Champion Skye Blue of Triangle of Madness
AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné joined commentary for this next match. Blue was with Julia Hart while Aminata had Mina Shirakawa with her for this one-on-one-matchup between two women who know each other well. Blue knocked Aminata down and mockingly patted her on the head. Aminata called for a test of strength and quickly took Blue down before responding with a head pat of her own and a quick bump to Blue’s head. Aminata and Blue exchanged lariats on the ropes, but Aminata came back with a snap suplex and administered Chocolate Kisses. She kicked Blue in the chest towards the ropes and the action spilled to the outside where all four women faced off until Blue pushed Aminata into the steel steps! Blue and Aminata went up the steps and Blue brought them both down with a suplex to the floor!
Aminata fought back into the match as the crowd got behind her. She German suplexed Blue to the corner and followed with a facewash boot. Aminata went up top and crushed Blue with a double stomp to get a near-fall. Blue got a near-fall of her own. Aminata countered Blue into a neckbreaker to get a two-count. Aminata couldn’t believe it! Amainta went back up top, so Hart got on the apron and Mina came over to admonish Hart. Aminata missed a stomp and Hart tried a pin attempt which set off a series of near-falls. Aminata ate a thrust kick and a knee strike from Blue, but managed to kick out in time. Aminata escaped a Code Blue and dropped Blue with Queen’s Crown! She ended Blue with Off With Her Head and pinned her for the win!
Hart tried to attack Aminata from behind, so Mina came in to even the odds. Thekla ran out to tip the numbers back in Triangle of Madness’ favor, but that didn’t last long because Willow Nightingale hit the ring! Nightingale nearly took Thekla out, but Blue pulled her away and they retreated up the ramp while Willow, Aminata and Shirakawa held the ring. Moné stood on the commentary desk and held up her AEW Women’s World Title.
TBS Champion Persephone Throws Out an Open Challenge for All Out With a Caveat
Baker accepted the challenge of Hyan and Thunder Rosa to face her and Persephone next week on Dynamite in Brittsburgh so they can end this once and for all. Persephone said that because she’s a fighting champion, at All Out, she wants someone other than Hyan, Thunder Rosa or Maya World to face her for the TBS Title in an open challenge!
Death Riders’ PAC def. Ace Austin of Bang Bang Gang
In the main event, Austin had the rest of Bang Bang Gang accompany him to the top of the ramp. PAC got fired up by the Death Riders in the crowd before entering alone.
The two had a feeling-out process in the beginning with both men hitting some impact moves in the early going. Austin’s innovative offense seemed to frustrate PAC, as he kicked PAC down to the mat in a flurry of strikes. Austin put PAC on his back and squatted him until PAC pulled his hair. Austin hit a dropkick to send PAC to the outside. He followed to the apron and had to use his unique elusiveness and agility to avoid PAC before kicking him in the chest. Austin launched himself over the turnbuckles to hit PAC with a crossbody.
Back in the ring, Austin put PAC back on his shoulders and squatted him again into a Death Valley Driver! Austin initially controlled PAC on the floor, but back in the ring, PAC turned things around by gouging Austin’s eyes. PAC kept Austin grounded with a cravat until PAC sent Austin to the corner. Austin came back with a pair of defensive boots before avoiding PAC in the opposite corner and slamming him down from the shoulders! More amazing innovation from Austin!
Austin started to pick up steam with a kick combo and spinning side suplex followed by a huge leg drop. Austin trapped PAC in the corner with a jumping clothesline and remained in the rope to follow up with a barrage of shots. After a stalemate in the middle, PAC missed a flying crossbody to the corner and landed in the turnbuckles. Austin took advantage with a guillotine leg drop on the back of PAC’s head! PAC kicked out to keep the match alive.
PAC came back with a release German suplex followed by an overhead throw that sent Austin head over heels into the turnbuckles. PAC went up to and connected with a brutal Black Arrow that kept Austin down for the pinfall victory! PAC locked Austin in the Brutalizer after the match, so Jay White hit the ring to break it up. The Death Riders and The Dogs hit the ring to continued the attack until the rest of Bang Bang Gang came out to continue the brawl. The music of AEW National Champion Andrade El Ídolo hit and PAC looked to the top of the ramp, but Andrade came from the crowd and took out PAC! The two opponents for All Out fought into the crowd as our night came to a close!
