After two long years, All Elite Wrestling returns to Fresno, CA and the Save Mart Center on the campus of Fresno State tonight for DYNAMITE! Our focus falls on the aftermath of REVOLUTION 2025, one of, if not the, the greatest pay-per-view presentations in our five-plus year history. Though it hosted six championship matches, only the AEW International Title found a new home around the waist of “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega, adding it to a trophy case that already holds the AEW World, World Tag Team, and World Trios Titles, making him the first Grand Slam Champion in AEW history! We also witnessed the most violent Women's World Championship match in AEW history between Toni Storm and Mariah May, the jaw-dropping Steel Cage between Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher, and the red-hot hate-fueled opener between MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page!
Unfortunately Jon Moxley remains AEW World Champion despite the best efforts of “The Rated R Superstar” Cope and, shockingly, Christian Cage. That means the World Title remains locked in that briefcase hidden from the world and in the possession of The Death Riders, but with Swerve Strickland now in the #1 Contender's position, there is still hope!
How will that hope pan out as we now head towards DYNASTY 2025 in Philadelphia on April 6th? We will start to find out tonight when DYNAMITE goes live at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT on TBS, as well as streaming on MAX, and watchable around the world via AEW PLUS. Before the show begins, make a point to visit AEW's official YouTube channel to watch all highlights from REVOLUTION 2025, previous editions of DYNAMITE and COLLISION, as well as the other content available from AEW! Then come with us to Las Vegas this Saturday night for COLLISION featuring FTR vs. Undisputed Kingdom II and the continution of the DYNASTY 2025 International Championship Eliminator Tournament with Katsuyori Shibata versus Ricochet and Mark Briscoe facing Mark Davis!
GRAND SLAM!
This past Sunday night, at REVOLUTION 2025, “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega made history yet again when he defeated “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita to claim the AEW International Championship! Already the only Triple Crown winner in AEW history with his World Championship, World Tag Team Championship, and World Trios Championship victories, ending Takeshita's reign also made Omega the first Grand Slam Champion in All Elite Wrestling history! It was a milestone moment for AEW as a whole, but more importantly for Omega given that just a few months ago he was unsure if he could still be a professional wrestler. Step one was the return to the AEW stage at WORLDS END 2024, step two was getting back in the ring at WRESTLE DYNASTY 2025 to defeat Gabe Kidd, step three was that first match back in AEW against “The Machine” Brian Cage at DYNAMITE: MAXIMUM CARNAGE, and step four was claiming his first AEW championship since March 5, 2023 at REVOLUTION 2023 when he and The Young Bucks lost the AEW World Trios Titles. Clearly that was not the final step though:
So what is the next step for the new AEW International Champion? Find out tonight on DYNAMITE when Kenny Omega appears live in Fresno for the very first time!
“WHY YOU AND NOT ME?”
Another man who will appear live in front of the Fresno fans is not coming in on a high note. At REVOLUTION 2025 Maxwell Jacob Friedman was beaten by “Hangman” Adam Page in their first one-on-one match since November 2019. MJF gave Page a war, proving once again that when he has to fight, Max is capable of hanging with the roughest and toughest in All Elite Wrestling. He took some of Hangman's toughest shots and survived before eventually succumbing to a combination of maybe the nastiest Angel's Wings ever delivered and a Buckshot Lariat.
Hangman had to weather a brutal storm to get that victory, and now maybe he can move on to whatever is his next step. As for MJF, will he be able to move on from what happened Sunday night? It's not necessarily even the loss that he's got to move past, but how much of himself he exposed to the AEW faithful (and by proxy any one in the locker room watching) with words he uttered during the match.
At Page MJF yelled “Why you and not me?” and “What's so special about you?” before turning to the crowd and demanding to know “Why not me?”. MJF hadn't been that exposed since everything happened with Adam Cole at the end of 2023 save perhaps when he went face-to-face with Will Ospreay ahead of their ALL IN: LONDON fight last year.
Tonight on DYNAMITE we will hear from MJF live about his REVOLUTION 2025 experience and what's next for the former World Champion? How will Max bounce back from this loss, and the soul-exposing reaction he had to the war with Hangman Page?
DYNASTY 2025 INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR TOURNAMENT...
Orange Cassidy vs. Hechicero
The Beast Mortos vs. ???
The path to DYNASTY 2025 starts tonight for four individuals as the International Championship Eliminator Tournament begins! Between DYNAMITE and COLLISION, we will present four Qualifying matches with the winner of each moving on to a Four-Way Eliminator on the March 19th DYNAMITE in Omaha! The winner of that Four-Way will move onto DYNASTY 2025 in Philadelphia and challenge new AEW International Champion Kenny Omega for his title!
Tonight we will see 2-Time International Champion Orange Cassidy take on CMLL's Hechicero in their very first singles match! They were both participants in the FORBIDDEN DOOR 2024 Casino Gauntlet match, but have never squared off in any form beyond that. This is quite the interesting match-up of styles, but Orange has some of that Skayde lucha training in his background to match-up with the technical wizardry of "El Alquimista del Ring"!
The other tournament bout being presented is especially intriguing as The Beast Mortos is set to face the Wild Card entrant into the field! There has already been a great deal of speculation online about who will step into the ring with this LFI member, but the best way to find out is by tuning into DYNAMITE tonight on TBS or MAX!
ONE-ON-ONE...
Penelope Ford vs. Willow Nightingale
After scoring a huge win in tag team action last week alongside Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford is right back in action tonight on DYNAMITE clashing with a foe she hasn't met since 2022! The 9/16/22 edition of RAMPAGE was the last time Ford went one-on-one with Willow Nightingale, and in both that match, as well as their AEW DARK #122 bout, it was “The SuperBad Girl” who came out victorious! That being said, in their encounters pre-AEW it was Willow who scored the wins in both singles encounters, so across their careers Nightingale and Ford are 2-2 overall. A lot has changed in the lives and careers of both women since those encounters, but will the result be the same as it has been in AEW or can Nightingale recapture the magic she had in their earlier battles to get the win?
As All Elite Wrestling prepares for DYNASTY 2025 on April 6th, we return to Fresno, CA and the Save Mart Center for an all-new DYNAMITE! We go live at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT on TBS, as well as streaming on MAX, and watchable around the world via AEW PLUS. We will hear from both the brand-new AEW International Champion Kenny Omega and Maxwell Jacob Friedman, as well as experience the rest of the fallout from REVOLUTION 2025, so before the show begins, swing by the official AEW YouTube channel to watch all the highlights from REV '25, previous editions of DYNAMITE and COLLISION, as well as the plethora of content available from AEW! Then follow us to Las Vegas for COLLISION this Saturday night where FTR squares off with Undisputed Kingdom's Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong once more, and the DYNASTY 2025 International Championship Eliminator Tournament continues with Shibata/Ricochet and Briscoe/Davis!!!
