AEW Dynamite Matches, Preview for Wednesday, October 22

AEW Unified Championship Match: “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. ROH World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion Bandido

At WrestleDream, Bandido became the first man in more than 10 months to pin Okada, which helped earn him this AEW Unified Championship match.

Brodido turned away the challenge of Okada and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family in part after Okada smiled when he hit a Rainmaker on Takeshita that was meant for Bandido. Okada can’t – and probably won’t – be worried about that tonight with such a big challenge ahead of him.

It was Okada who pinned Bandido at AEW Title Tuesday to earn the AEW World Tag Team Title match at WrestleDream, so each man has a pinfall over the other. Will Okada avenge this weekend’s loss, or will Bandido leave Dynamite with three championships?

AEW World Trios Championship Match: The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata) (c) vs. The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashey, Shelton Benjamin and MVP)

The AEW World Trios Championship will be on the line in a matchup that should be filled with pain, as Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata will defend the gold against Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP.

The Hurt Syndicate earned this championship opportunity when they won their rubber match with The Demand at WrestleDream. On the other side, Samoa Joe lost his challenge for the AEW World Championship to “Hangman” Adam Page at that same show, but he was anything but gracious in defeat, as The Opps viciously attacked Page after the match.

Is The Hurt Syndicate ready to get back into the gold business? Will The Opps bring an even more brutal level of violence in the wake of their assault on Page? This colossal showdown is coming your way in San Antonio!

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Bracket Reveal

Last month, Tony Khan announced the creation of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship, and tonight, we’ll find out who will compete to become the prestigious inaugural champions when the tournament bracket is revealed on Dynamite!

12 Belts Mercedes Moné Celebration

Over the span of three days, in three countries, Mercedes Moné retained the CMLL World Women’s Championship, retained the TBS Championship and won two more championships, including the Interim ROH Women’s World TV Championship from Mina Shirakawa at WrestleDream.

UltiMoné has plenty to celebrate in San Antonio tonight!
