AEW Dynamite Results

AEW Dynamite was LIVE from Sacramento, California, on TBS and HBO Max! And the fallout from Grand Slam Australia started us right down the road to Revolution next month in Los Angeles!

The main event saw Swerve Strickland defeat Kenny Omega in their first-ever encounter. However, it was Swerve’s post-match attack on the already-defeated Omega that left the biggest impression! Speaking of AEW World Champions, “Hangman” Adam Page went face-to-face with the current AEW World Champion, MJF, and wants a Texas Death match at Revolution! And he’s willing to make this his last AEW World Title shot if he doesn’t win!

Plus, TBS Champion Willow Nightingale withstood three opponents to retain the TBS Title in a wild 4-Way, the Young Bucks want the AEW World Tag Team Champions, FTR, at Revolution, and Jon Moxley will defend his AEW Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution with no time limit after fending off Mark Davis!

All that and much more went down on Dynamite! Here are your complete results!

AEW Dynamite Recap Tonight for Sacramento

We Hear From Some of the Participants in Tonight’s Top Matches

Mina Shirakawa said last week, she cut Wheeler Yuta. And while everyone wants Mina, she wants the TBS Championship. And she wants it now!

TBS Champion Willow Nightingale understands what it means to be a double champion, so if that means defending the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship with Harley Cameron in Australia on Saturday and defending the TBS Title in a 4-Way tonight in Sacramento, then bring it on!

“Megasus” Megan Bayne made it simple, “Gold belongs with the All Elite Goddess.”

Swerve Strickland looked like he was on a different level of seriousness about tonight’s main event against Kenny Omega when he said, “I need this. I need this.”

A much more composed Omega said Swerve has gotten in the way of the AEW World Championship, and tonight, he’ll have to eliminate Swerve from that path.

Orange Cassidy Calls on Tomohiro Ishii to Replace Roderick Strong

Renee Paquette was backstage with Orange Cassidy. After Roderick Strong left Cassidy high and dry in their tag match last week and no-showed their tag match tonight, what is Cassidy going to do? Cassidy said the good thing about The Conglomeration is that there are a lot of us. He motioned someone in, and Tomohiro Ishii appeared! Cassidy reintroduced Ishii to Paquette for some reason, and they walked away. Cassidy and Ishii will take on Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd in tag team action later tonight!

AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley (c) def. Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family

Before the match, Paquette ran down the 30 hours of travel both Moxley and Davis went through around Grand Slam Australia, and now they’ll have to get in the ring with a big opportunity on the line. Davis was looking for some revenge after Moxley cost Davis and Jake Doyle the AEW World Tag Team Championships last month in retribution for Davis and Doyle attacking Moxley earlier that night. There is a recent, but intense, history here with both men coming off a grueling week.

On commentary, Bryan Danielson expressed disappointment in not seeing a bald Wheeler Yuta accompany Moxley to the ring. Davis and Moxley grappled for the opening minutes until Davis ran over Moxley with his power on a pair of shoulder blocks and a full body block. Davis stayed on Moxley with chops until Moxley fired back with some of his own. Mox tried a sunset flip, so Davis just sat on Moxley’s chest! He beat Moxley down in the corner and followed with a diving elbow strike that sent Moxley to the outside. Davis beat Moxley around the ringside area until he lined him up against the ring post, but Moxley moved, and Davis punched the steel! Moxley returned to the ring and dove through the ropes to send Davis into the barricade! Davis was bleeding from the hand that hit the post, and Moxley went right after it by wrenching and biting the fingers! Moxley stomped the hand into the steel steps!

Davis turned things around on the outside and put Moxley in a chair near the barricade. He got a full head of steam and crushed Moxley into the corner with tremendous force! Davis threw Moxley back into the ring and ascended to the top rope as blood continued to pour from his right hand. Moxley met him on the ropes and bit the bloody finger webbing before nailing a superplex! Moxley tried another sunset flip, but when Davis tried to sit again, Moxley moved and came back with a PK to Davis’ chest. Davis kicked out at one!

As we entered the final 10 minutes of the match, the two men exchanged strikes until Davis got a brief advantage with a jumping enzigiri, but Moxley came right back with a cutter! Moxley started to build his own momentum, but Davis kicked away a lariat and hit a huge one of his own! Moxley escaped a piledriver and rolled Davis up for a two-count out of the corner. Davis grabbed Moxley in a gutwrench and turned it into a piledriver! Moxley kicked out at two! Davis got Moxley in a rear choke, but Moxley escaped with a finger poke, only for Davis to answer with a clothesline. Moxley avoided another jumping enzuigiri and stomped Davis into the mat only to collapse onto it himself!

The two went face-to-face in the middle and collided with three clotheslines, but when Davis tried to lift Moxley for another piledriver, Moxley floated out of it and locked in a bulldog choke tight in the middle of the ring, so Davis had no choice but to tap out. Moxley wins!

“Hangman” Adam Page’s Post-Match Comments from Grand Slam Australia

We went back to Saturday to hear from the former AEW World Champion. Page was clearly still hurting immediately after his victory over Andrade El Ídolo, but said Andrade was clearly one of the best in the world, although tonight, that wasn’t enough. And Page hoped MJF was watching, because the next time MJF tries to kick Page in the balls, Page will end any future he may have. With MJF’s AEW World Title match against Brody King not yet scheduled when this was recorded, Page said MJF should pray to whoever he believes in that he doesn’t win, because at Revolution, Page is coming for the AEW World Championship and he will end MJF to take it!

“Look into my eyes and know that I am telling the truth, Max. I will end you.”

Young Bucks Want FTR at Revolution!

Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler and Big Stoke came to the ring to address the Young Bucks. Harwood couldn’t understand why the Bucks would cheap-shot them last week. In 2016, they were the best tag team in the world and even coined the phrase "FTR," but now they are in second place to the absolute greatest tag team of a generation.

Stokely reminded us of the definition of insanity because that’s what it feels like they are doing with Matt and Nick Jackson, and it’s pissing him off. Last week on Dynamite, the Young Bucks shook hands with the Rascalz and Private Party after beating them in a 3-Way to earn the shot at FTR. Stoke wondered why that would happen when a year ago, the Bucks tried to run Private Party out of the company. But now everything is all good, because the Bucks are good.

“And that is the fakeness I hate about AEW and the fakeness that I hate about professional wrestling. If people knew the amount of hatred that FTR and I have for our co-workers, they would be overwhelmed. But you know who’s at the top of that hate list? Matt and Nick Jackson. And you know who’s under them? Their mother, their father, and you know who’s under them? Their little badass children who walk around here like they’re domestic terrorists running in and out of the locker rooms, popping out of production boxes, doing whatever they want to do. Finally, finally, finally, you all appreciate what I’m trying to say…”

The fans were applauding at that point, but it wasn’t for what was being said. While Stokely continued to run down the Bucks, they slipped in the ring behind FTR and took them out with superkicks! But Stokely had no idea until it was too late, and he tried to beg off from the wheelchair. The Bucks backed off for a few seconds as the crowd chanted “SUPERKICK!” They obliged with a double superkick, knocking Stokeley head over heels out of the chair!

Nick grabbed the mic and said they are officially the #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and they challenge FTR at Revolution!

Brody King’s Post-Match Comments from Grand Slam Australia

King was with ROH World Champion Bandido and talked about how much they’ve both been through, and he was this close! King banged the table in frustration, but said he could now taste it. He told MJF, "Congrats on weaseling your way to another victory." King isn’t going to sit around feeling sorry for himself. “Bring the biggest. Bring the baddest. February 25th, I’m getting myself back into the World Title hunt, and I’m looking for a fight. WOOF!”

TBS Title 4-Way Match: TBS and AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion Willow Nightingale (c) def. Mina Shirakawa, “Megasus” Megan Bayne and “The Problem” Marina Shafir

Early on, Shafir and Bayne threw Mina from the ring and double-teamed Nightingale until the TBS Champion sent both to the floor and followed with a cannonball onto both from the apron. Shirakawa leapt from the top with a crossbody to take out all three women on the floor! She threw Shafir back in and nailed a tornillo splash for a near-fall. Shafir fired back with shots that sent Mina back to the floor. Willow and Bayne returned to the ring, and Nightingale hit a double lungblower to Bayne and Shafir. Nightingale tried to stack Shafir and Bayne in the corner, but Shafir battled out and put Nightingale on the top turnbuckle. Nightingale slapped Shafir away, so Bayne met Nightingale on top and brought her crashing to the mat with a hurricanrana! Shafir pulled Nightingale from the ring with a head scissors. Bayne gorilla pressed Shirakawa onto Shafir and Nightingale on the outside!

Shafir and Bayne worked together to punish Nightingale, but when Nightingale avoided Shafir’s charge to the corner, Shirakawa was there to follow with a strike that sent Shafir stumbling to the mat. Shirakawa rolled off Bayne with a splash to Shafir, but when Bayne tried to break up the pin attempt with a senton, Shirakawa moved, and Shafir ate all of it! Shirakawa hit a slingblade on Bayne, but Willow broke up the pin. Nightingale hit spinebusters on Shafir, Bayne and Shirakawa. Nightingale went for the pin on Shirakawa, but Shafir broke it up.

Shirakawa tried to go toe-to-toe with Shafir in a strike battle and was holding her own until Nightingale and Bayne took down Shafir and Shirakawa to clear them out of the way. Bayne and Nightingale took each other out with clotheslines, and all four women were down! Nightingale put Bayne down with a Death Valley Driver, only to turn into an impressive uranage from Shafir. Mina hit Shafir with a DDT, but was immediately flattened by a flying clothesline from Bayne. Bayne dove to the floor and took out all three opponents. She threw Shirakawa in the ring, but Shafir pulled Bayne out, and the two went at it! They fought to the timekeeper’s area, where Shafir lit Bayne up with kicks until Bayne powerbombed Shafir into the timekeeper’s table!

Bayne went to the top rope, but was met by Nightingale, who sent Bayne crashing to the mat with an avalanche German suplex! Shirakawa quickly went to the top and hit a shotgun dropkick to Nightingale. She hit a multi-strike combo punctuated with a spinning backfist across Nightingale’s face! Shirakawa called for the figure four, but Nightingale grabbed a small package to get the pinfall out of nowhere! Nightingale shook hands with Shirakawa after the match and celebrated in the ring!

After the match, we took a look back at the amazing weekend we had Down Under for Grand Slam Australia and House Rules!

MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page Come to a Huge Agreement

MJF spoke first and said he’s not trying to sell anything.

“This is a fact. I hate your guts. I hate everything about you. I hate the way you look. I hate the way you walk. I hate the way you talk. I hate the way you wrestle. I hate your white knight, holier-than-thou bulls***! I hate that these dumb, ignorant, white-trash hicks actually think that you are anywhere on my level in any category in this sport. I hate the fact that they have the gall to call you the ‘Main Character,” when clearly, it’s me! I hate the fact that these people need to chant ‘Cowboy S***!’ whenever you walk around. But most of all, you know what I hate? The fact that you hold two wins over my head makes me wanna puke. You’re not better than me, not even close. What you are is a lucky shot. But I see something these idiots can’t. I can smell it on you. I can see it in your eyes. Something’s off about you, Hangy.”

MJF continued, “Now I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s your two boyfriends, Kenny and Swerve, are fighting. Maybe, just maybe, you’re in your head, you had your opportunity to be at the top of the mountain, where everybody dreams to be, twice. You’ve had the opportunity to hold the championship that everybody dreams of having twice. You’ve had the opportunity to be ‘The Guy’ twice, and both times, you’ve crumbled under pressure. Now maybe, you’re wondering, ‘If I win this title a third time and I crumble again, is everyone gonna realize I’ve always been nothing more than a fraud?’ Who’s to say? But what I do know is this, the man who I am looking at in the eye right now is not the man I faced at Revolution last year, nah, but what I will say, Cowboy. You are a lucky shot, but I think you’re all out of bullets. And on March 15, my birthday, I couldn’t think of a better gift in the world than ending the myth that is Hangman Page and his Cowboy S***!”

Page took his time to speak, “Between the two of us, I am the lucky shot? Me? The man who was so undeniable that these people carried me to the World Championship twice! The man, who last year, not once, but twice, beat the dogs*** out of you. No, if there’s a man with a lucky shot in the ring tonight, it’s the man who had a guaranteed chance at the World Championship and took it home, sat with it, waited for it until we were in front of one of the largest crowds we’ve ever seen, returned with a new head of hair thicker than Mark Davis, inserted himself into a match between three men who already hated each other. Who waited on the floor, picking his ass, until the last second, he slid in the ring, kicked me in the balls, and collected the spoils of greater men.”

“Max, you said you hated me, but I hate you so much worse. And it’s not because of any of that, Max. It’s not because of the years of lying, the years of cheating, the depravity of both your words and your actions. Despite all of that, when I look at you, I have to admit, I have never met someone more like me.”

That perplexed MJF, but Page explained, “Your desperation for love and acceptance. Max, I am no better than that, and I hate it. And Max, I know how bad you want to make your mark here, and you’re loyal to All Elite Wrestling. It feels just like me. And as much as everyone wants that championship, Max, you and I, we have always needed it. Max, at Revolution, I want to end this for good. Forever. And I think you know. I think you can feel it, too. That this can’t be just a normal wrestling match, can it? I think you feel it, too. I think you know it. So why don’t you think about a stipulation? Pitch it. Let me hear it because I have always known what this match should be, and once we decide, we should let them <points the crowd> decide what this match should be.”

MJF was beside himself with the idea. He heard people chanting “Texas Death,” and then he told them to shut up, because if Page thinks they are doing anything other than a normal, professional wrestling match for his World Title, then Page is out of his mind. Page thought he would say that because he’s scared and he’s a coward. So if MJF agrees, Page will give him something.

“Max, if you agree, I will give you my word. I will give all of you my word. Max, if I don’t win this match, then I will never challenge for the All Elite Wrestling Men’s World Championship for as long as I live!”

The crowd was stunned, and MJF got a huge smile on his face. “You got yourself a deal, Cowboy! But as far as my stipulation goes, unlike all these morons, I think things through, so I’m going to need a week to think over my stipulation because, unlike you, I don’t shoot first and ask questions later.”

Page responded, “Well do your thinking, Max. Do your thinking because I already know my answer: Revolution, the Hangman, MJF…TEXAS DEATH!”

As Page left the ring, he paused in the aisle with the apparent realization of what he just risked.

Jon Moxley and the Death Riders Challenge the Don Callis Family

Moxley spoke with the Death Riders by his side and said he doesn’t like wolves because they are too needy. He likes coyotes because they are adaptable against all odds, and they are survivors. PAC addressed the Don Callis Family and said the Death Riders are different, so if they want to test this, they like to fight. So, how about this Saturday on Collision, they gather some together because the Death Riders won’t be hard to find. Daniel Garcia said “Family” is just a name and a title in the Don Callis Family, but it’s not something they are willing to live or die for. Moxley returned and addressed Konosuke Takshita. He said they aren’t done, and he’s not walking away from this, so at Revolution, no time limits.

“Either you get me, or I get you, but there must be a winner. As long as it takes!”

The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy and NJPW Strong Openweight Champion “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii) def. Clark Connors & Gabe Kidd

After some early mind games, Kidd looked like he was facing off with Ishii, but Connors attacked Ishii from behind and tagged back in the match. He tried to chop Ishii, but Ishii handled all the shots and chopped Connors into the corner. Ishii and Cassidy took turns chopping Connors at different speeds, as Cassidy re-entered the match. Cassidy went to the top and nailed Connors with an elbow and followed with a dive to the outside on Kidd, but Kidd caught him and sent Cassidy into the apron before dropping him with a chop. He picked Cassidy up for an Exploder, but as Cassidy stumbled back up, Connors ran right through him! Kidd ran to Ishii and threw him to the floor with a body block!

Cassidy was in major trouble until he fought back against Connors and finally made the tag to Ishii! Ishii and Kidd collided in the middle of the ring to reignite a rivalry that goes back to battles in NJPW. After a strike battle, Ishii took a brief advantage until they reverted to a slap fight that ended with a massive lariat from Kidd! He tagged Connors, who tried to get a head of steam to take out Ishii, but Ishii couldn’t get back up, so Connors stood him up and nailed a running lariat. Connors covered, but Ishii kicked out at two, although he was clearly in pain. Ishii battled back with a side suplex out of nowhere, but he could barely walk!

Kidd came in, but Ishii put him down with a lariat only to run into a powerslam from Connors. Cassidy came in and put Connors down with a swinging DDT before a dive onto Kidd on the outside! Connors raked Ishii’s eyes to get out of a brainbuster. Back on the outside, Kidd and Cassidy fought near the guardrail, where Kidd ended up in the crowd. With Kidd’s attention on Cassidy, he didn’t see Darby Allin come from behind to attack with his skateboard! Allin took Kidd away through the crowd, as Connors fell victim to an Orange Punch from Cassidy and a brainbuster by Ishii, who pinned Connors to get the win!

The Don Callis Family Responds to the Death Riders

With Lance Archer, Rocky Romero and El Clon destroying random people in the background, Josh Alexander held someone else in an ankle lock. He accepted the Death Riders' challenge for Collision. Callis said he heard everything Moxley said, and while Takeshita isn’t here tonight because he’s celebrating in Australia with his good friend, TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, Callis is here tonight and on behalf of Takeshita, he accepts Moxley’s challenge for Revolution. AEW International Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada showed up. He said he is Fletcher’s best friend and would love to celebrate with him, but he showed up to do his job because he’s a champion, unlike Takeshita. Okada introduced Andrade El Ídolo, whom he called the uncrowned World Champion. Andrade said his eyes are still on the AEW World Title. Callis said he sees Claudio Castagnoli parading around with the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, and that would look pretty good on the mantle of the Don Callis Family!

HOOK’s First Order of Business for The Opps is to Recruit

As the new boss of The Opps, HOOK’s first order of business is recruitment. Katsuyori Shibata wasn’t with him because HOOK sent him to Japan for international recruiting. HOOK will handle domestic recruiting because all the top schools recruited him. He’s the greatest second-generation wrestler of all time. He’s also the boss of The Opps.

The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) def. B3CCA & Viva Van

It was time for the television debut of the Brawling Birds following weeks of Hayter and Windsor coming together to build chemistry as a team. Windsor quickly worked Van over and beat her to the mat with power. Van came back with strikes, but never saw Hayter make a blind tag to hit a sunset flip/big boot combo. Hayter hit a snap suplex and tagged Windsor back in for the Birds to light Van up with chops from both sides. Van hit a couple of kicks to slow Windsor down and then escaped a double suplex attempt to make the tag to B3CCA. She threw forearms at the Birds until they sandwiched her with a pair of big elbows. B3CCA reversed the momentum with a springboard stunner to Hayer and Windsor before nailing Windsor in the corner. She tried to follow up, but was caught by Windsor, who slingshotted B3CCA into Hayter for a backbreaker followed by a running lariat from Windsor. Hayter and Windsor sandwiched B3CCA in the middle of the ring with lariats. Windsor picked up B3CCA for Hayter to hit their version of the Hart Attack, which they call Two Birds with One Stone! The Brawling Birds win their Dynamite debut!

Thunder Rosa and Kris Statlander Are Coming for Thekla

Renee Paquette was backstage with two former AEW Women’s World Champions, Thunder Rosa and Kris Statlander. Paquette started with Statlander, who won’t be cleared for 1-2 weeks after losing the AEW Women’s World Championship to Thekla in a strap match last week. Statlander said she doesn’t want to wrestle; she wants to fight, as long as Thekla isn’t too scared to hide from Statlander.

Paquette said Rosa was cleared today after being out since All In Texas last year. Thunder said after seeing what they did to Statlander and knowing she can’t wrestle, that Thunder Rosa will have to come for Thekla. Statlander warned Thunder that even though she’s just coming back, be careful of Thekla because she’s dangerous.

AEW World Trios Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight def. The Beast Mortos of LFI

Before the match, Knight said if Beast Mortos beats him tonight, he’ll give LFI a shot at the AEW World Trios Titles this Saturday on Collision! This match went right to the floor with Knight landing the first blow with a jumping clothesline from the apron. Back in the ring, the two avoided each other until Mortos knocked Knight into the corner. Mortos charged in, so Knight sent him over the top to the floor and followed with a springboard over the turnbuckles! What an innovative attack!

Mortos turned things around and was in control. Back in the ring, Mortos fought out of a body slam attempt and caught Knight’s clothesline attempt before sending him head over heels to the floor! Mortos followed with a tornillo through the ropes to the floor onto Knight! Back in the ring, Mortos hit a lariat in the corner, followed by a pop-up Samoan drop that got him a two-count! Knight tried to fight back, but was floored by a massive headbutt. Mortos rushed in to follow up, only for Knight to hit a skywalking dropkick! Knight stayed a step ahead with a leaping clothesline and showed off his strength with a body slam to the bigger Mortos! Knight hit a standing UFO splash for a two-count! Knight ran into a boot from Mortos in the corner, so Mortos sat on the top turnbuckle. Knight jumped up and brought him down with a leaping hurricanrana to the mat! Knight put Mortos down with a pendulum DDT and finished him off with a UFO Splash from the top to get the pinfall victory!

After the match, we saw the latest in Will Ospreay’s journey back to the ring, as he continued to psyche himself up for a return.

The Demand Want Jet Set Rodeo for the AEW World Trios Titles on Collision!

AEW National Champion Ricochet said that he’s finally put “Jungle” Jack Perry behind him, and he can focus on getting GOA some gold. Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona addressed Knight’s victory over Beast Mortos, but said ever since JetSet Rodeo won the AEW World Trios Titles, they haven’t defended them. Liona accepted Knight’s challenge to defend this Saturday on Collision. Ricochet said they won’t have that stupid name for much longer because on Saturday, they are taking the AEW World Trios Titles. As The Demand walked away, they saw a knife in their locker room door. Ricochet laughed it off, and Liona shoved the camera away.

Swerve Strickland def. Kenny Omega

With AEW World Champion MJF watching from the back, it was time for our main event! The crowd exploded with a “Holy S***!” at the bell for this first-time dream match!

A stalemate early on led to a shoving match before Omega knocked Swerve to the floor. Omega fired up for a dive, but Swerve met him back in the ring with a running clothesline followed by a head-scissors to take Omega to the floor. Swerve hit a twisting dive to Omega on the floor and landed on his feet! Swerve kept the pressure up by sending Omega into the steel steps, but Omega turned it around and threw Swerve into the front row. Omega took his time gathering his footing on the barricade and nailed Swerve with a moonsault! The fight continued into the crowd!

Back in the ring, Swerve took control back until Omega fought back out of the corner. Swerve ran into a boot and came back with a hip toss, but when he tried to roll it into a suplex, Omega reversed it into a suplex of his own! Omega hit Swerve with a basement dropkick followed by a bulldog to put Swerve on the mat. He followed with a punt to Swerve’s ribs and slammed his head to the mat. That got a nearfall, so Omega picked up Swerve for You Can’t Escape and the moonsault, but Swerve kicked out again. Swerve hit a stiff strike in the corner and put Omega on the top turnbuckle. He went up to meet him with a hurricanrana, but posed too long, which allowed Omega to sneak under him and drop him face-first on the turnbuckle! Omega hit a snap dragon and a knee strike under the knee for another nearfall.

Omega nailed two short-range knee strikes to Swerve’s chest, but Swerve caught the third attempt and knocked Omega to the apron with a backbreaker/dropkick combo. Swerve drove Omega into the top and middle turnbuckles and tried to lift him for a Vertebreaker, so Omega floated out and ran Swerve into the buckles. Omega followed with a sickening snap dragon on the apron! Swerve pulled himself back to the apron, although he was struggling to move. Omega grabbed Swerve for a suplex from the apron to the floor, but Swerve held onto the ropes. Omega switched to strikes and headbutts before throwing Swerve to the floor with a German suplex, but Swerve landed on his feet while Omega crashed to the floor! Swerve quickly rolled into a suplex and put Omega down on the floor!

Swerve threw Omega back in and nailed a 450 splash from the top rope! Omega kicked out, and Swerve looked frustrated. He picked Omega up for Big Pressure, but Omega got out of it and hit a kick to the back of Swerve’s head. With Swerve’s head resting on the middle turnbuckle, Omega connected with a knee strike to the back of the head! Omega put Swerve on the top and connected with an avalanche suplex! Swerve kicked out! Omega had Swerve on the ropes for a V-Trigger, but Swerve complained about his shoulder, so referee Aubrey Edwards went to check on him, and he pulled her into the path of the V-Trigger!

Omega tried for a One-Winged Angel, but Swerve punched his way out of it and hit a House Call! There’s no referee to count! Prince Nana tried to wake up the referee, but in the meantime, Swerve stomped Omega from the top to the apron! Swerve pulled the protective pad off the turnbuckled connector and slingshotted Omega throat-first into it! Swerve went to the top and nailed another Swerve Stomp as referee Paul Turner came in to make the count, but Omega kicked out! Swerve looked angry and stunned! As Omega grabbed at his jaw, Swerve tried for another House Call, but Omega ducked! Omega hit a snap dragon on Swerve, followed by a knee between the shoulder blades and a poisonrana! Swerve broke free of a One-Winged Angel, but ate a huge knee, and Omega lined up for the V-Trigger. Swerve got up and hit a House Call! Swerve followed with Big Pressure to get the victory! What a match!

After the match, Swerve attacked Omega and threw referee Paul Turner from the ring. He took the chain from Prince Nana and hung Omega over the top rope! Nana looked on in disbelief as Swerve began dismantling the announce table and pulled the steel steps beside it, all while Bryan Danielson begged Swerve not to do it, saying he was better than this. Swerve pulled Omega onto the steps and put him through the table with a Vertebreaker! Swerve looked into the camera and yelled, “I needed this! I needed this!” What a violent end to the night in Sacramento!
