AEW Dynamite was LIVE on TBS and HBO Max at Viejas Arena in San Diego, California! With so much to handle coming off AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, there was no time to waste, especially with the AEW World Title and vacant TBS Championship on the line in San Diego!
AEW World Champion MJF survived everything Mark Briscoe could throw at him, including a Jay Driller, and in the end, MJF retained his AEW World Title. When MJF tried to do more damage after the match, Kenny Omega made the save and challenged MJF to face him later tonight! MJF said no, but he was willing to face Omega next week if Omega agreed that if he lost, he could never be AEW World Champion again. By the end of the night, Omega accepted and brawled with MJF before they meet next week at Beach Break!
For the first time in AEW, we saw a Survival of the Fittest match with six women battling to win the vacant TBS Title. In the end, it came down to Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida, but Persephone, who Statlander eliminated just minutes earlier, nailed Statlander with the TBS Title to knock her out! Shida quickly put on a submission and won by referee’s stoppage to become the NEW TBS Champion!
Plus, Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley beat The Swirl, and after offering Ospreay a spot in the Death Riders following Forbidden Door, it appears as if Ospreay accepted! And Andrade El Ídolo made it clear he’s out of the Don Callis Family and wants the AEW World Title, only to be attacked by the Callis Family!
All that and so much more went down on Dynamite tonight from San Diego!

Kenny Omega Accepts MJF’s Demands Before Brawl to End Dynamite
Will Ospreay, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega and MJF Have Words After Forbidden Door
Renee Paquette caught up with Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor after Forbidden Door and his win in the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. Before Ospreay could explain much about the feeling of winning other than a weight being lifted off his shoulders, they were interrupted by Jon Moxley. Ospreay wanted to catch up with him, so Paquette exited, and Windsor did as well, as she didn’t seem interested in hearing what Moxley had to say. Moxley gave Ospreay an ice pack and said it was hard to come down from all of that. He asked if Ospreay was okay, and Ospreay said it was and thanked Moxley for being out there, but he had something he wanted to ask Moxley: “A few weeks ago, you said you started to see ‘it” with me. What do you mean by that?”
Moxley paused, “Well, if I could explain that in words, I’d do that for everybody. He who defines himself can never know who he really is. Now, you wanna be the real thing? You gotta live it. Look, man. This place, All Elite Wrestling, could be something great. This is the greatest sport in the world. But this business has always been full of carnies and liars and backstabbers. Those that wear their insecurities on their sleeves. It’s like a bucket of crabs, and they all pull each other down. It’s up to us to protect this place, to preserve this craft. It’s not about this <points to Owen Hart Title> stuff. Will, be of service. Look, we took a vote on it.”
And Moxley pulled out a Death Riders patch. “I don’t give these away to just anybody. You wanna wear this? You can ride with us. You can ride with me. Anywhere you wanna go. I’m proud of ya.”
Moxley gave Ospreay the patch and walked away. As Ospreay walked down the hallway and stared at the patch, Kenny Omega was standing there and said, “Jeez, look at you. You’re a bloody mess. Nice patch. What you did today, Will, was fantastic. That was next level shit. You have no idea how proud I am of you. You’re the Owen Hart Cup winner. 2026 Main Event of Wembley…”
Ospreay cut him off, “Ken, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you being here right now, but you’re not my dad and this situation, I can see you looking at this <holds up Death Riders patch> and I get it.”
Omega said he’s just looking out for Ospreay, but Ospreay said he understands. “But just because you’ve given up on yourself doesn’t mean I’ve given up on myself.”
Omega questioned Ospreay’s statement and asked who’s given up? AEW World Champion MJF came out of a different locker room and said he didn’t want to interrupt “this lovers’ quarrel, it’s so cute.” Omega said MJF is just so funny, but in a couple of days, he has to defend the AEW World Title against Mark Briscoe.
“And if you survive that, guess who’s gonna be coming to knock at your door?”
MJF looked at Omega and stepped past him to get in Ospreay’s face.
“I’ll see you at Wembley, bruv.” And then MJF left, so Omega continued speaking to Ospreay.
“Look, you’re emotional, you’re beat up. Get some rest, and I’ll see you on Wednesday. This doesn’t top what we have. You’ll always be my friend, and I’ll always care. Take care of yourself.”
Ospreay looked at the Death Riders patch one more time.
AEW World Championship Match: MJF (c) def. Mark Briscoe
After all that newsworthy conversation following Forbidden Door, it was time to focus back up on our opening contest, the AEW World Title match that Mark Briscoe earned three days ago by pinning MJF to beat Team DCMJF in the steel cage.
A huge “Let’s Go Briscoe!” chant erupted at the bell. MJF grabbed a headlock, but when he came off the ropes, Briscoe flattened him with a huge spinebuster. MJF feigned an issue with his knee coming out of the corner, but it was just a ruse to lure Briscoe into a piledriver! That got an early two-count. MJF ripped off Briscoe’s bandage from Forbidden Door and bit the wound! MJF dug his nails into Briscoe’s forehead and backdropped him out of the corner. Briscoe was pouring blood just as bad, if not worse, than Forbidden Door. MJF backdropped Briscoe out of the corner again and continued to pose as Briscoe tried to shake out the cobwebs. MJF tried a third backdrop, but Briscoe landed on his feet unbeknownst to MJF, who went to the ropes to celebrate. He turned around into palm strikes from Briscoe and then a big kick that sent him to the corner. Briscoe followed with a clothesline and threw MJF out of the corner with an exploder. Briscoe hit MJF with a senton roll and went up top, but MJF crotched him by falling on the top rope. He tried to bring Briscoe down, but Briscoe bit him in the forehead and sent him down with a headbutt. Briscoe came down with a Froggy Bow! MJF kicked out at two!
Briscoe tried to lock MJF up for the Jay Driller, but the champion whipped Briscoe down to the mat. Briscoe sent MJF to the outside and cannonballed through the ropes to take out MJF. Briscoe threw a chair in the ring and followed after it. He fired up the crowd by clapping the chair and set it up near the ropes. Briscoe leapt off the chair with a cannonball over the ropes that clobbered MJF! Briscoe pulled a table out from under the ring and threw MJF into the steel steps. Briscoe set up the table and put MJF on it before climbing to the top rope, but MJF sprang back up and threw Briscoe down onto the apron! MJF flipped the table over and put it back under the ring!
MJF continued to pick apart Briscoe and taunt the crowd, but Briscoe started coming back with strikes, and MJF made the mistake of spitting in Briscoe’s face! Briscoe unloaded on MJF and clotheslined him over the top back to the floor. Briscoe pulled up the protective mat to expose the concrete and tried a Jay Driller, but MJF backdropped Briscoe onto the cold concrete floor! MJF picked up Briscoe for a tombstone on the concrete, but this time Briscoe turned it around and bodyslammed MJF on the concrete! Briscoe got on the apron and dropped a Bang Bang Elbow onto MJF’s prone body on the dangerous concrete slab.
Briscoe brought MJF back in and planted him with a Cutthroat Driver! 1-2-MJF kicked out! Briscoe is trying to find another gear, but is clearly fighting to see through all the blood pouring down his face. Briscoe tried for a Jay Driller on the apron, but MJF fought it off, so Briscoe headbutted him to the floor. Briscoe continued to punish MJF around the ringside area and brought the table back out from under the ring! Briscoe charged at MJF, but MJF got out of the chair he was in and sent Briscoe into it with a drop toehold! MJF put Briscoe in the chair and charged at him, but Briscoe was ready with a thrust shot to cut MJF off! Briscoe came off the barricade with a blockbuster onto MJF! He put MJF on the table and climbed back to the top rope, slipping on his own blood on the way. Briscoe came down on MJF with the Froggy Bow, and the table was obliterated! Briscoe threw MJF in and covered, but MJF managed to get his foot on the rope just in time!
Briscoe pulled MJF up for a Jay Driller, so MJF pushed away and put his thumb in Briscoe’s eye. Briscoe stopped MJF’s combo with a huge clothesline and nailed another Froggy Bow from the top rope! Briscoe hit MJF with a Jay Driller! 1-2-MJF KICKED OUT OF THE JAY DRILLER FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! Briscoe was slow to keep the attack on, but managed to put MJF on the middle rope and tried for an avalanche Jay Driller, only for MJF to gouge the eyes and get back to the mat. MJF sent Briscoe to the apron and wanted the Heat Seeker, so Briscoe knocked MJF away and leapt over the top rope for a sunset flip. MJF sat down on it to get a near-fall, and then Briscoe got one of his own. Briscoe tried another Jay Driller, but MJF stood up and dropped Briscoe with an Alabama Slam! MJF moved Briscoe to the ropes and spiked him with a Heat Seeker to get the three-count and a successful AEW World Championship defense!
MJF Gives Kenny Omega A High Stakes Ultimatum
MJF celebrated after the match, but that wasn’t enough. He put on the Dynamite Diamond Ring and smashed it across Briscoe’s face. MJF forced the medical staff out of the ring and measured Briscoe for another shot, but Kenny Omega hit the ring to make the save! MJF bailed up the ramp, and Omega got a mic. Omega told MJF that he had told him he was coming and that if he cheated his way past Briscoe, Omega was going to come knocking. Omega said he could face MJF tonight!
First, MJF insulted California and said it was bad enough he had to wrestle “that white-trash hick Mark Briscoe” and then wondered if Omega really wanted him to wrestle again. Omega said yes, so MJF said no. MJF said it was laughable that Omega thought he deserved another shot at the Triple B. MJF beat him twice and kicked out of “The World Famous One Winged Angel” like it was nothing. MJF is a fraud, not a god, so the answer is no.
MJF went to leave and turned around. “Big Hebrew just had a big idea. I’ll wrestle you next week on one condition.”
Omega said, “NAME IT!”
MJF continued, “Okay, so you wanna make a deal with the Devil, alright. This is an exploding offer, Kenneth. If I don’t have an answer by the end of the night, you will never get a shot at the Triple B. Kenny Omega vs. MJF in the main event, next week, Beach Break, if I win, the same thing happens to you that happened to your old pal, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. If I win and you lose, you will never be able to become AEW World Champion again.”
MJF Addresses Andrade and Runs Into Will Ospreay
Renee Paquette caught up with AEW World Champion MJF and asked if MJF felt prepared to face Kenny Omega next week if Omega agrees to MJF’s demands. MJF said he’d get to that question in a minute, but first, MJF wanted to address Andrade. He said it wasn’t a good idea for “The Real Latino Man” to put his hands on “Big Hebrew.” And payback is coming, but Andrade won’t know when, and it will hit “like a ton of bricks.” MJF went back to Paquette’s question about Omega and proceeded to run down all the people he’s defeated, and it was quite a list of World Champions and future Hall of Famers. And now Omega wants to face him again? He’s 0-2 against Big Hebrew.
“Kenny, the best wrestler in the world ain’t ‘The Best Bout Machine.’ It damn sure ain’t ‘The Aerial Assassin’ Will Ospreay, bruv. The best wrestler in the world is Maxwell Jacob Friedman.”
MJF said none of this matters because Omega won’t agree to his terms, “Because Kenny Omega is literally gutless.”
Ospreay walked up to MJF and said, “Max, you better be careful. You’ll end up breaking your neck sucking yourself off like that. I have to ask one question and one question only. Why the stipulation? Why?”
“It’s because I’m the champ and you’re not.”
MJF told Ospreay he’d see his “pale ass” at Wembley.
Andrade El Ídolo Attacked by the Don Callis Family
Tony Schiavone introduced Andrade and reviewed the events that led to Andrade turning on MJF at Death’s Door at Forbidden Door. Andrade said he’s done with the Don Callis Family. It’s time to beat that “pendejo” MJF and become the new AEW World Champion.
“So, I have one question.”
The crowd said it before he could.
“HOW YOU KNOW?”
Jake Doyle, Lance Archer, Brian Cage, TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight and Don Callis ran out for an attack on Andrade. They beat him into the ring, where Brian Cage finished him off with a Drill Claw! Callis said he has something important to say! “How you know, cabron? Get this piece of turncoat garbage out of my sight because Kevin Knight has a match to win!” Cage threw Andrade out of the ring and to the floor!
Mercedes Moné Says All In is the Last Piece
“They said I couldn’t do it again, so I did it twice. The first-ever two-time Owen Hart Cup winner. Another milestone with my name on it. Another reminder that none of you are on my level. In every company I walk into, I am the conversation. Every division I step into, I raise the standard. And every woman that’s stepped across from me has learned the same lesson: ‘Dreams don’t win championships. I do.’ At All In: London, the AEW Women’s World Title is the last piece of what’s already mine.”
TNT Championship: "The Jet" Kevin Knight (c) def. ROH World TV Champion "Blackheart" Lio Rush
Knight remained in the ring after the attack on Andrade and waited for Rush to slither to the ring. Rush had a backpack and slid it towards Knight at the bell. Knight cautiously opened the bag and pulled out a black ROH World TV Championship. Knight came down awkwardly, trying to avoid Rush’s unorthodox movements, so Rush bit Knight’s knee! Rush lit up Knight with lightning-quick strikes and chops. Doyle pulled Knight out of the ring to reset, although Knight seemed thrown off his game by Rush’s tactics. Knight got on the apron, but Rush was there with a handspring kick. Rush galloped around the ring and dove through the ropes to take out Knight! Callis and Doyle went to check on Knight, but when Callis turned around, Rush was right in his face! Callis took off towards the crowd to escape, and the crowd chanted “LIO!”
Knight tried to turn things around, but his knee remained an issue throughout the match, as we saw when Knight missed a springboard and started limping even worse. Knight couldn’t get his usual height for a clothesline and wound up eating a big kick from Rush, who followed with a bounce-back stunner to get a near-fall! Rush locked in a front chancery, but Doyle pulled Knight to safety to help break the hold. Rush went up top and dove into the arms of Doyle, but slipped away and pushed Doyle into the ringpost. That allowed Knight to spring up on the apron and come down with a vicious clothesline. Knight threw Rush back in and clobbered him with a springboard clothesline. Rush countered Knight into a rollup for a near-fall, but Knight came back with a pop-up spinebuster! He picked Rush back up and finished him off with a Crash Landing to get the pinfall victory for the successful TNT Title defense!
Darby Allin is here! Allin came out to the top of the ramp with a microphone and said he has Knight’s attention now. So what is he gonna do with it? Allin wants a TNT Championship match, and if Knight says no, what happened at Forbidden Door will keep happening. Knight started this, so how is he going to finish it?
Knight said he’s tired of dealing with Allin and his stunts.
“If you want a TNT Title match…”
Callis took the mic to cut him off and said he had something important to say. Callis said Allin is a great champion and wrestler. Still, with the stunt he pulled three days ago on Knight, he crossed the line from wrestler to criminal, and they don’t reward criminal behavior, so Allin will never get a match with Knight as long as Callis has something to say about it.
Allin just grinned and nodded his head. “You dug your grave, Kevin. If that’s what you wanna do, you dug your grave.”
Allin left while Callis continued to berate Allin from the ring. While this was all going on, Knight’s former partner, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, was watching from the crowd.
Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa Brawl Before Beach Break!
We went back to Collision, where Jericho beat JD Drake and put him in a Walls of Jericho while Tony Schiavone said he was better than Ciampa in response to Ciampa doing the same thing to Schiavone in the weeks prior. Back live on Dynamite, Renee Paquette asked Ciampa’s reaction to Jericho using his own line against him. Ciampa called him a bully, but Ciampa said Paquette is going to right the wrong and tell everybody at home, “Tommaso Ciampa is better…” Paquette immediately protested, so Ciampa told her to stop interrupting and started again. A garbage can flew in and hit Ciampa in the head! It was Jericho!
He threw Ciampa into a pile of chairs, and they fought outside into the loading dock, where some security tried to intervene. Ciampa kicked them away and kept coming at Jericho with a shopping cart. He got hold of a power drill and went after Jericho, but Jericho knocked it away. They continued to fight near the television trucks, and security pulled Ciampa away, but Jericho leapt out of the back of a truck onto Ciampa and security. More security came to pull the two apart. They’ll meet next week on Dynamite Beach Break!
Kenny Omega Weighs His Decision with the Young Bucks
Renee Paquette went to The Elite’s locker room to get a word with Kenny Omega and was let in by Brandon Cutler. She found Omega talking with the Young Bucks and asked whether Omega had come to any conclusion. Matt Jackson said they were in the middle of that discussion. “Two Elite comrades have fallen to the same stipulation. Let’s just discuss this.”
Nick Jackson stopped his brother, “This is Kenny Omega. The Cleaner. The best professional wrestler in the history of this sport that we love. He’s got this. He’s a gambling man, I’m a gambling man.”
Omega cut them off and apologized to Paquette, saying it was a tough decision.
“If I can’t challenge ever again, what’s there left for me? And what’s Max getting out of this? And when I really think back to my first reign as champion, I needed help. I needed to go to a dark place to get the job done. And I didn’t like the man looking back at me in the mirror. This is my chance to make it right, and if I’m gonna do that, I wanna do that on my own. So if I take this match, as much as I love you guys, it’s win or lose alone.”
The Bucks said no matter what he decides, they’ll have his back. Paquette left as Omega and the Bucks continued to discuss.
Jon Moxley & Will Ospreay def. The Swirl (Lee Johnson & Blake Christian) w/ Jay Lethal
With The Swirl already in the ring, Ospreay made his entrance, alone, down the ramp and to the ring. Moxley came through the crowd with Marina Shafir. Christian chopped Moxley’s knee to jumpstart the match and knocked Ospreay out of the ring! Johnson and Christian double-teamed Moxley in the corner, and he collapsed to the mat. Johnson continued to stomp Moxley in the corner, and Christian threw Moxley into the adjacent corner. Moxley fired out of the corner and unloaded on Christian with punches, but when Moxley sent Johnson towards Christian, Johnson monkey flipped Christian into Moxley for a flying clothesline!
The Swirl took too long celebrating, so Christian ate a boot, and Moxley tagged Ospreay. He quickly took Christian down and knocked Johnson off the apron. Ospreay sent Christian to the floor with a hurricanrana, then followed up with a crossbody onto both Johnson and Christian! He threw Christian back in to keep the heat on, but The Swirl double-teamed Moxley and then Ospreay to take control of the match with some electric offense!
Moxley ate a big boot from Johnson as Christian took Ospreay down on the apron. The Swirl hit a stomp/Death Valley Driver combo on Moxley, but only got a two-count. The Swirl got Moxley in the corner, but he fought out with a boot and back elbow. Moxley struck and chopped Johnson and Christian until Lethal tripped him from the outside. Shafir took care of Lethal with a bodyslam on the floor!
Back in the ring, Johnson lit up Moxley with kicks, but Moxley threw a desperation lariat that connected! Ospreay tagged in and quickly unloaded on Christian and Johnson before hitting a spin kick on both. Ospreay hit a corkscrew splash on Johnson to get a near-fall. Moxley and Ospreay did the Death Riders corner attacks on Johnson, but Christian came off the top at Moxley only for Ospreay to push Mox out of the way and hit Christian with a cutter on the way down! Moxley hit a Paradigm Shift on Johnson and Ospreay immediately followed with the Hidden Blade! What a combo! That got the three-count!
Ospreay was wearing the Death Riders patch on his attire! He’s in!
Christian Cage & Adam Copeland Speak After Forbidden Door
Lexy Nair caught up with Cage and Cope after their successful AEW World Tag Team Championship defense against The Dogs. Cage said it was a given and had no doubt they were going to walk out still AEW World Tag Team Champions, but what’s the deal with Jay White? Cope said White owed him a favor and they are even now. Cage said before White sat at home and collected a paycheck for a year, he had a problem with him, and he still does. He walked away, and Cope said, “Goodbye?”
"Switchblade" Jay White Addresses The Dogs
White came out with the entire Bang Bang Gang and the San Diego crowd chanted, “Welcome back!”
White said it’s been 459 days since he’s last been here. Before he left, no one could escape the wrath of the Death Riders. Now, the fans don’t seem to mind them, and the Death Riders are palling around with the “biggest fraud in the industry!” “I’m not here to talk about you, Billy.”
White was here to talk about Bang Bang Gang! White said they are back together just in time because someone let The Dogs out. He properly asked who let the Dogs out. He wanted to address Clark Connors, Gabe Kidd, and a man he has known a long time, David Finlay, going back to when they broke into Japan together. Finlay’s been able to pick up everything so quickly because he was born into this industry. If anyone has a right to say wrestling is in their blood, it’s him.
“But David, it still doesn’t change the fact that you’re still just a nepo-baby bitch boy!” The San Diego crowd caught on with that one, but White said to wait until Finlay is out there to chant that.
Finlay took out White in Japan before he could thank the fans who raised him, but now they are in AEW in an AEW ring, and although they’ve only been around for a short time, the stench of The Dogs’ arrogance has lingered far too long.
“So who better to clear the air, so we can all breathe easy, than yours truly? ‘Cause simply put, I’m a cut above. I’m the most elite in this ring. I’m the most high. I’m the Switchblade. I’m the catalyst of professional wrestling. Ain’t nobody got what I got. And David, Sunday was just the beginning. You will breathe with me because this is still MY era. This is the Switchblade Era. David, Dogs and anyone else, if you’re not down with that, the Collision Cowboys and San Diego, we got two words for ya: GUNNS UP!”
Shane Taylor Promotions Challenge Jay White and Bang Bang Gang for Collision!
Shane Taylor said after 15 months, Bang Bang Gang is back at full strength, but since they’ve been gone, a new crew has been running Collision. They challenged White to pick any three friends and face them on Collision!
Survival of the Fittest Match for the TBS Championship: Hikaru Shida def. Kris Statlander, Maika, Harley Cameron, CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone and Queen Aminata
Our main event would crown the new TBS Champion, and all six women would be in the ring at the same time in this elimination match. All six women went at it at the bell, and Persephone and Shida were the only two left in the ring as the others fought on the outside. Shida rolled up Persephone for a near-fall and threw her into the ropes, but Cameron caught Persephone. Shida charged, so Persephone moved, and Shida caught a knee from Cameron and ran into a clothesline from Persephone. A low bridge sent Shida to the floor. Maika was in next, but Persephone sent her to Cameron for a kick to the back. Persephone set up Cameron to hit a Shining Wizard on Maika. Aminata and Shida came back in, but were quickly taken to opposite corners by Persephone and Cameron. After Cameron finished mounted punches on Aminata, Persephone grabbed her for a crucifix powerbomb and pinned Cameron to eliminate her!
PERSEPHONE ELIMINATED HARLEY CAMERON
Statlander pushed Persephone, as Cameron is her friend, so Persephone rolled up Statlander for a near-fall! Statlander and Maika started working together until they slugged it out. Shida cracked Statlander with a kendo stick from the outside, which was legal in this matchup! Shida came in, and they traded vertical suplexes. Maika knocked Shida to the mat, but Shida tried to transition to a submission. Statlander stopped Shida from using her kendo stick again, but when she got a hold of it, Persephone grabbed the other side and yanked Statlander from the apron to the floor!
Back in the ring, Shida moved the referee in front of her to distract Maika and then rolled up Maika to trap her for a three-count!
HIKARU SHIDA ELIMINATED HAIKU
Aminata and Shida battled on the top rope until Aminata chopped Shida back down to the mat. Aminata rolled through a diving foot stomp attempt, but Shida stopped her with a knee. Aminata came back with the Queen's Crown headbutt and absolutely crushed Shida with Off With Her Head! Persephone rolled up on Aminata out of nowhere!
PERSEPHONE ELIMINATED QUEEN AMINATA
Persephone blocked a boot from Statlander and turned it into a capture German Suplex for a near-fall. Statlander and Persephone took each other out with clotheslines, so Shida ran in for pin attempts on both, but neither stayed down for three. Statlander was double-teamed by Persephone and Shida, but broke them apart with a back elbow from the second rope. She dropped Persephone with a Fisherman’s Driver, but Persephone kicked out! Persephone escaped Statlander's grip and tried for a crucifix powerbomb, but Statlander got free and picked up Persephone for Staturday Night Fever. Persephone reversed it into a pin attempt, but Statlander reversed that into a deep cradle to get the three-count on Persephone!
KRIS STATLANDER ELIMINATED PERSEPHONE
We were down to Stat and Shida! Shida hit a Falcon Arrow, but Statlander kicked out just in time! Shida went outside and grabbed the TBS Title; she tried to hit Statlander with it, but Stat ducked and booted it out of her hand. Statlander tried for Staturday Night Fever, so Shida dropped down into a rollup for a two-count, only for Statlander to get her own two-count followed by another near-fall for Shida. Shida got Stat in an ankle lock, and Statlander made it to the ropes, but there was no break in a match like this! Persephone cracked Statlander in the head with the TBS Title! Shida locked Statlander in a submission, but Statlander was out cold, so the referee called for the bell!
HIKARU SHIDA IS THE NEW TBS CHAMPION!
Kenny Omega Accepts MJF’s Demands Before Brawl to End Dynamite
Omega was waiting to come out, but Will Ospreay stopped him and tried to get his music cut. He told Omega he wanted him to win the AEW World Title and he wants to wrestle him at Wembley Stadium, but is this a good idea? Omega asked Ospreay if he doesn’t think he can do it. Ospreay said, of course he believes in Omega, but he doesn’t know if Omega believes in himself. Omega cut him off and said he’s out of time. This could be his last shot.
“Think about it this way. When you broke your neck? What I’m standing on right now is my death ground. So I’m gonna go out, I’m gonna go out guns a-blazing. I just hope I have your support.”
Ospreay said, “You always have.”
They embraced, and Omega went to the ring.
The crowd chanted for Omega, as he began to speak, noting that he’s been doing this for nearly 30 years, more than half his life. There’s no greater passion than stepping through the ropes and giving the fans everything he has. Whether it was the 14-year-old boy or the 42-year-old broken-down man, he’s won titles. He’s broken records. Records that may never be broken again. A career he could look back on fondly. But there’s a selfish part of him that thinks it’s not enough. There’s just enough left in the tank if Omega can believe. If Will can believe. If the Young Bucks can believe. If the people can believe, just one more time…
“ONE MORE TIME!”
Then Omega knows he can be a champion everyone can be proud of and go on to face Will Ospreay for the AEW World Title on the greatest stage at Wembley Stadium to represent All Elite Wrestling, where the best wrestle! Where he can face Will Ospreay, the winner of the Owen Hart Cup.
“And all I have to do is put it all on the line against you, Max. If I fail, I will become just like Cody. I will become just like Hangman. I will become just another man who can never challenge for that belt again. And the question is, is the cost simply too high? And the answer is no. You want me to put it all on the line, Max? If I lose this time around, you’ll never see me in another title match again! And boy wouldn’t that make you happy. Well, Max, there’s one possibility I don’t think you've even considered. And it’s that, yes, I am still that person that people call the Best Bout Machine. I’m still that person that people call The Cleaner. I’m still to some out there, the God of Professional Wrestling.”
Omega paused. “And I can’t lie, Max. To have one more chance to beat the brakes off you while I’m still healthy? Ooooh, it just gets the blood flowing, don’t it? So Max, am I going to accept your offer? THE ANSWER IS YES! So next week, Max, bring the BBB, bring yourself, and get ready to pass over what has rightfully been mine since the last time we wrestled, because this time I’m coming prepared, and I don’t know if you are for what I have in store for you. But until then, Max, I must bid adieu. So everybody say it with me if you know the words. Goodbye and goodnight. BANG!”
MJF attacked Omega from behind!
MJF put on the Dynamite Diamond Ring and lined up Omega, but Omega double-legged MJF and took him down to the mat. A host of security personnel ran out to separate the two, but they each escaped multiple times to continue the fight. Security pulled MJF from the ring, and he went up the ramp, while Omega remained in the ring. MJF taunted Omega from the aisle with the AEW World Title as Dynamite came to a close!
