After the massive AEW WrestleDream in St. Louis, there was plenty of fallout to deal with in San Antonio, Texas for AEW Dynamite LIVE on TNT and HBO Max!
The AEW Unified Championship was on the line, and “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada retained the title in an excellent main event by holding off a fantastic challenge from ROH World Champion and one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Bandido!
We expected the AEW World Trios match to be a hard-hitting affair, but The Hurt Syndicate and The Opps couldn’t settle things alone. An appearance by Ricochet made it clear The Demand was not done with the Syndicate, as the Opps were able to retain.
The bracket for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament was revealed, featuring a matchup determined by a 4-way tag match won by Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata to select their first-round opponents, Julia Hart and Skye Blue. The tournament will officially begin next week on Dynamite!
Mercedes Moné had her 12 Belts Celebration, but was interrupted by AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron. Statlander reminded Moné of what’s to come when they meet for Statlander’s AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear next month!
Here's everything that happened on AEW Dynamite for October 22, 2025, including your full results and match recaps.
AEW Dynamite Recap Tonight for San Antonio
Hangman Makes a Promise to Samoa Joe
Hangman Makes a Promise to Samoa Joe
We went back to this past Saturday, where while being checked out in medical after his beating at the hands of The Opps at WrestleDream, “Hangman” Adam Page repeatedly wondered if Joe had lost his mind. As Page continued to escalate his tone, the doctor asked the wounded champion to calm down. Page left Joe with one final statement, “Joe, when I find you, I am going to ruin your goddamn life!”
AEW World Trios Championship Match: The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata) (c) def. The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashey, Shelton Benjamin and MVP)
After a brief faceoff between the six men, Shelton Benjamin and Katsuyori Shibata kicked off our first match of the evening for the AEW World Trios Titles. The two veterans traded some mat wrestling until Benjamin gained a brief advantage to bring in Lashley. The crowd chanted for Hobbs, prompting Shibata to make the tag. As a “BEEF” chant rang out, Joe tagged Hobbs on the back before he made any contact with Lashley and covered up Hobbs’ chest with a towel, much to the chagrin of the beef-loving crowd in San Antonio.
Lashley ended the fun and games as soon as Joe turned around with a big shot that knocked Joe to the ground. Lashley punished Joe in the corner and tried to do the same in the other, but Joe made a brief comeback until Lashley dropped him with a front-face slam.
Benjamin tagged in and went right to the top, so Joe walked away as Benjamin came off, although Benjamin was also ready and landed on his feet! Joe had enough of that and tagged out to Hobbs. Benjamin cracked Hobbs with a heel kick, but Hobbs battled back with a clothesline over the top. Lashley did the same to Hobbs and walked right into a high boot from Shibata. MVP entered to clobber Shibata with a big boot of his own. Joe got back in and threw MVP over the top rope, but turned right into a Benjamin knee strike in the corner. Hobbs was waiting for Benjamin with a running powerslam, which Joe followed with a running senton to put Benjamin in serious trouble.
After all three members of The Opps punished Benjamin for an extended period of time, he looked completely worn out, which Bryan Danielson attributed to the level of competition The Hurt Syndicate faced in The Demand at WrestleDream. Benjamin finally rattled Joe with a massive reversal into a DDT, and Lashley tagged back in. Shibata also tagged back in, and Lashley absolutely decimated him all over the ring until a Dominator nearly won the match, until Hobbs broke it up.
We finally got the faceoff that was teased early as Hobbs and Lashley started throwing bombs in the middle of the ring. Hobbs hit a shot to Lashley’s throat, but Lashley was briefly able to apply the Hurt Lock until Hobbs backed him into the corner for some elbows. The two connected in a giant collision after both going for clotheslines. Shibata remained the legal man, so he nailed Lashley with a PK and got a two count.
MVP and Joe tagged in, but Joe immediately cut him off by ripping at the eyes, so MVP countered with a shot to the throat and a Ballin’ elbow for a nearfall that Shibata broke up. Benjamin threw Shibata with a German suplex, but walked into a huge spinbuster from Hobbs. Lashley was waiting for Hobbs with a spinebuster of his own, but he didn’t see a big boot from Joe that knocked him from the ring. MVP broke out of a Coquina Clutch with a jawbreaker and went for the Play of the Day until Ricochet arrived and jumped on the apron. The distraction allowed Joe to reapply the Coquina Clutch for the submission victory and successful defense of the AEW World Trios Titles. The Demand, clad in matching capes, smugly watched from the ramp until the Syndicate ran them off. Back in the ring, Tony Schiavone asked Joe about the actions towards “Hangman” Adam Page.
“First of all, I wanna say what a pleasure it is to be here in San Antonio, tonight! Cause you gotta understand, when you have a man like Powerhouse Hobbs around, it’s good to have these big ole fat San Antonio women around to keep him occupied.”
Hobbs showed off what appeared to be a lifting routine he practiced in a local gym.
“Now onto the question, ‘Why, Joe, Why?’ And it’s really simple, because I exist. As long as I’m on Planet Earth and you call yourself a champion, I will come hunting for you. As long as you stride this earth thinking you're the man, the very best you can be, I am waiting to show you you are not that man!”
San Antonio responded with loud chants of “Cowboy Shit!” “Cowboy Shit!” “Cowboy Shit!”
Joe continued, “And much like these people say, Hangman Adam Page, you may think that this is just some cowboy shit, but rest assured, just like every one of you slack-jawed Texans in here, I will slap your cowboy ass and make you my bitch, just like every sports team has made this state their bitch!”
That did not go over well with the crowd.
“Because if you haven’t noticed, what stands before you is The Opps. We stand in opposition to everybody, and rest assured, we’re never lacking.”
Kris Statlander Accepts Mercedes Moné’s Full Gear Challenge
Earlier today, we saw UltiMoné arrive at the arena in style in a Rolls Royce, accompanied by 12 men holding her record-breaking number of titles ahead of her 12 Belts Moné Celebration later tonight.
Renee Paquette was live with Kris Statlander to get her thoughts on defeating “Timeless” Toni Storm to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream.
Statlander said, “Toni Storm, if there’s anyone I could have stripped with, cuddled with, beat the shit out of, and then made up with, well, I’m glad it was you.”
Paquette then asked Statlander about the challenge she received from Moné for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Full Gear on November 22.
“I don’t need a celebration tonight because I’m not focused on what I did. I’m focused on what I’m going to do. And Mercedes, since we’re making history tonight, I beat Toni Storm twice. Have you? I won the AEW Women’s World Championship? Have you? If you think that I’m the same person that you beat last year at Full Gear, well, I promise you, I am so much more. You may be the one who broke the glass ceilings, but I’m going to soar past it and take this title to heights you’ve never seen before, and you are coming along for the ride. Full Gear. AEW Women’s World Championship. Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné. Oh, have a nice celebration tonight.”
Statlander coyly smiled as she delivered that last sentence and exited.
Darby Allin Makes It Clear What He’ll Do for AEW
As he made his way to the ring, Allin carried the AEW flag he took to the top of Mount Everest and used to choke Jon Moxley at WrestleDream en route to making Moxley say, “I quit.” He got on his knees, placed the flag on the ring, and kissed it. Allin remained on his knees as he spoke, “Before I climbed Mount Everest, there was a lot of people saying I was irresponsible and I could never really be the face of this company…because I was gonna get myself killed? It’d be really bad for PR. But I’d like to argue the exact opposite. BECAUSE I’M WILLING TO GO PLACES FOR THIS COMPANY NO ONE ELSE WILL GO! I AM WILLING TO DIE FOR THIS PLACE! I WILL DIE FOR THIS PLACE!”
That elicited a “DARBY!” chant from the crowd as he removed his jacket.
“The marks on my body from Saturday tell a story. I was never gonna say, ‘I quit,’ Saturday, but I’m wearing the scars today. And I ain’t stupid. I know the Death Riders aren’t going away just like that. So Jon Moxley, let me tell you something. As long as the Death Riders are breathing, Darby Allin isn’t far behind.”
Allin dropped the microphone and exited with the flag
Jurassic Express Wants More Than $500K
“Jungle” Jack Perry lamented how long it had been since he was in a match like the one Jurassic Express had at WrestleDream, especially a tag team match like that, but made it clear that he and Luchasaurus beat the greatest team of this generation in the Young Bucks. Now, it’s time for Jurassic Express to do what initially brought them together, and when it’s time, they’ll come after their AEW World Tag Team Championships.
4-Way Tag Match: Queen Aminata & Jamie Hayter def. Skye Blue & Julia Hart, Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron, and Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford
The winners of this match got to pick their first-round opponent in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament. Nightingale and Blue started off with Nightingale asserting her power over Blue, but then she brought in Cameron for some tandem offense. Cameron lost control when Blue nailed Cameron with a side kick, but she couldn't capitalize when Ford made a blind tag.
Ford hit a handspring shoulder thrust in the corner, which brought Bayne into the match. She continued to pound away on Cameron in the corner, but when she and Ford went for a double suplex, Nightingale pulled Cameron out of harm’s way. Ford sent Nightingale to the outside, where Blue and Hart went to work while Cameron fought off Bayne long enough to tag Hayter.
The crowd was amped to see Hayter and Bayne face off, and to make sure they wouldn’t be interrupted, Hayter knocked Ford off the apron. Hayter and Bayne came to blows in the middle, and Bayne won the battle with high elbows and then a big boot. Bayne escaped a suplex and wound up in front of Aminata so she tagged Hayter and they went for a double suplex, but Bayne reversed it into a suplex on both of them in a ridiculous display of power. And she wasn’t done! Bayne dove to the outside to take out Nightingale, Hayter, and Aminata with a dive as Ford moonsaulted from the top to the floor onto Blue and Hart! Bayne and Ford were in total control!
As Bayne punished Aminata in the ring, Hart made a blind tag to take over on Aminata. Hart walked her the ropes and struck down on Aminata from an arm wringer. Blue tagged in, but Hart remained in the ring for some double-team offense, although they tried to do too much, allowing Aminata to make a desperation tag to Nightingale. She ran through both Blue and Hart and stacked them in her corner before crushing them with a hip attack. She kicked Hart from the ring and nearly won the match with a spinebuster, but Blue kicked out in time. Nightingale called for Cameron, who came in to ping-pong Blue with chops and then a kick. Nightingale set up for the Babe with the Powerbomb, but was quickly stopped by a Bayne clothesline.
Cameron jumped on Bayne’s back, but escaped when she backed into the corner. Bayne dragged Blue to her corner to allow Ford to tag back in. Bayne threw her into an assisted cutter on Nightingale, but Hart was back in to break up the pin. Hart and Blue were dropped by a double stunner from Ford and a double German suplex by Bayne in another fantastic display of power. Bayne got Nightingale on her shoulders as Ford went to the top for a doomsday device, but Nightingale sent Bayne into Ford, knocking her all the way to the floor. With Bayne dazed, Nightingale pounced her from the ring!
Hayter made a blind tag on Nightingale, making her and Ford the legal women in the match. However, Hayter and Aminata decided to double-team Nightingale and knocked her from the ring with a double back elbow. They turned their focus to Ford with a double big boot. They snatched Ford back to her feet so Aminata could thump her with a headbutt immediately followed by Hayterade, and that combo was lethal enough to get the three count. Hayter and Aminata earned the right to select their first-round opponents, and Hayter had the microphone to make the pick!
“Isn’t tag team wrestling just fantastic? Now, since we won, I don’t think we should wait to choose our pick. Sisters of Sin, you’re a pain in our asses. We choose you! Let’s have it!”
It’ll be Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata vs. Julia Hart and Skye Blue in the first round of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament. We’d find out what the rest of the bracket looked like later on Dynamite.
The Young Bucks Have to Tag with Old Rivals for Money
Matt and Nick Jackson were caught banging on Tony Khan’s door, begging for another money match. Renee Paquette caught up with them to ask about their apparent desperation and what’s next. Nick said, “We don’t know what’s next for us. We’re poor. We’re broke. For goodness' sakes, we’re trying to get Tony out here because we want a money match and we will wrestle anyone. We will team with anyone. Tony, I know you’re watching. Open that door!”
As Nick continued to knock, Matt shooed Renee away, and Tony answered the door!
“Hey, it’s been a while. It’s nice to see you guys. Well, I heard what you were saying. You said you want a money match. You said you’ll team with anybody. You said you’ll fight anybody. OK, well, I’ll put some money up. How bout you guys fight Jurassic Express and JetSpeed!”
Matt wondered aloud, “Four on two?”
Tony responded, “No, I’ll put up four hundred thousand dollars in a four-on-four all-star match: JetSpeed and Jurassic Express, right here in San Antonio this Saturday on Collision, against you two and these guys…”
The door opened, and out walked Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, and Big Stoke. As the Bucks and FTR stood across from each other, Matt spoke first, “Listen, guys, I know we have a bit of a checkered past…”
Nick cut him off, “Hey! Water under the bridge. We need the money. Sounds great.”
Stokely jumped in, “Well, listen, the holidays are coming up so I think you two may need this more than we do.” He slapped a one-dollar bill on Nick’s chest and walked away with FTR. The Bucks looked embarrassed, but Nick still put the dollar in his pocket.
Mercedes Moné’s 12 Belts Celebration Crashed by Mini-Moné & Statlander!
Renee Paquette was in the ring to run through UltiMoné’s accomplishments from last week, including becoming the longest reigning TBS Champion, defending the CMLL World Women’s Championship in Arena Mexico, defending her TBS Championship, and winning the Interim ROH Women’s World TV Title from Mina Shirakawa at WrestleDream to break Ultimo Dragon’s belt record and make her 11 Belts Moné. The next day, she flew to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and won the WPW Women’s Championship for championship number 12!
Paquette introduced Moné with her parade of championships, but as the men lined up with her titles, we heard the familiar voice of Mini Moné back in the ring near a celebratory cake.
“San Antonioooooooo! Please say hello to your CEO! Renee, thank you for that lovely introduction. I am the best to do it. Three countries, three record-setting victories in three days! Wait, don’t they say bad things happen in threes? Never mind! I am a global champion! Just like I said I would be. Now, everyone, let’s do the CEO dance to celebrate! Even you, Renee. Come on, move those hips!”
As the crowd chanted, Paquette obliged, but the real-life version of Moné made her way to the ring and was clearly perturbed. She sent her belt boys to the back. She also told Paquette to leave the ring.
Moné addressed Mini Moné, “Harley, what the hell do you think you’re doing? You stupid dumb marks wanna mock me? You guys wanna laugh at me after everything I’ve done for this company and for women’s wrestling?”
Mini Moné repeated that last line in a mocking tone, so Moné stewed and gathered herself to respond. “Harley, you are so pathetic. Wasn’t it just a couple weeks ago, you were begging me to be your tag team partner? Now you’re out here disrespecting me? Laughing at me? Are you that desperate for attention? This? Tonight is about me! This is my moment. This is my celebration. What I have done becoming 12 Belts Moné is gonna go down as one of the greatest accomplishments in professional wrestling history. Me, UltiMoné is gonna be talked about for years to come, but you? You stupid, pathetic little marks wanna laugh at me? I am tired of the disrespect, so if you wanna laugh at something, Harley. Laugh at this!”
With that, Moné shoved the puppet into the cake as the crowd booed. Cameron popped out from under the table and was grabbed by Moné, but Statlander made a surprise appearance and slammed Moné face-first into the cake! Moné screamed in embarrassment as Statlander picked her up and put her through the table, leaving her in a heap of cake. Statlander and Cameron celebrated their successful plan!
Jon Moxley Speaks After WrestleDream
We went back to comments from Jon Moxley on Saturday night after losing his “I Quit” match to Darby Allin.
“Well, I did not deliver on what I promised. Tonight, it was your strength that was the deciding factor. Your absolute commitment to self-destruction was the deciding factor. One of these days, Darby Allin, that is going to be your downfall. Tomorrow, tomorrow, the sun rises again. We get out of bed and we get back to work. Our unwavering commitment to being the best every single day, 365 days a year, giving everything we have. Our only competition is ourselves. There is absolutely nobody in professional wrestling who does what I do. Who does what we do, that can hold a candle to the standard I set? The standard that we set. But sometimes, you make a promise and you give everything you have. And you really believe you can pull it off. You swear his body was gonna fold. I believed in my heart, he was. So he made me a liar. But no matter how tonight went, I know exactly who I am and what I do here.”
Kyle O’Reilly def. Jon Moxley by Disqualification
Accompanied to the top of the ramp by Orange Cassidy, Willow Nightingale, Mark Briscoe, Tomohiro Ishii, and eventually Roderick Strong, O’Reilly got an encouraging send-off from The Conglomeration and Strong. They returned to the back while Moxley entered through the crowd with Shafir. Moxley danced around O’Reilly as the crowd reminded him of the words he said at WrestleDream. Moxley got frustrated by some early mat wrestling and flipped off O’Reilly out of frustration. O’Reilly stayed on Moxley as they continued to battle on the mat. O’Reilly caught Moxley in a flying armbar, but stomped his way free and started to chop away at O’Reilly. O’Reilly came right back with shots of his own, but Moxley bit him and shoved O’Reilly to the outside.
After weathering an extended attack on the outside, O’Reilly nailed a flying dropkick from the apron to a seated Moxley on the floor! He got Mox back in the ring and took him down with a series of powerful kicks. O’Reilly was locked in a triangle sleeper, but Mox broke it by catapulting O’Reilly into the bottom rope neck-first! They found themselves on the outside of the apron until O’Reilly slammed Moxley’s arm into the edge.
O’Reilly came off the top with a knee to Moxley’s shoulder and nearly pinned him. Moxley and O’Reilly traded submissions until Moxley barely escaped a cross armbreaker. Mox crushed O’Reilly with a big lariat and followed with a piledriver, but O’Reilly kicked out! Moxley went to the Bulldog Choke, but O’Reilly escaped with his foot on the ropes. Moxley missed a stomp, so O’Reilly chopped his knee. O’Reilly went for a rebound lariat, but Moxley avoided it, so O’Reilly put him in an ankle lock! Mox grabbed and elbowed referee Paul Turner, as other referees swarmed the ring and the bell rang, signaling a disqualification. The Conglomeration and Strong came out with Strong going right after Moxley, only for the Death Riders to hit the ring as referees tried to separate the two sides.
Trios Match: Roderick Strong & The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe & Orange Cassidy) def. The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, & Daniel Garcia)
Order was restored long enough to get both sides to their corners for this Trios Match. Cassidy and Yuta showed how well they knew each other by trading many pin attempts to open the match, but Yuta tagged out to Garcia when OC went for the Orange Punch. Garcia celebrated a small victory of outwrestling Cassidy on the mat, so Briscoe tagged in, unbeknownst to Garcia. He pounded away on Garcia, then brought Strong in for the first time. Strong got a few shots on Garcia before he made a desperation tag to Castagnoli.
Strong fought with everything he had to strike Castagnoli with powerful shots and even battled out of the Death Riders’ corner by nailing Garcia and Yuta. Garcia came back in for a brief distraction, so Castagnoli was able to knock Strong to the outside. Yuta tried to attack Strong, but ate a backbreaker on the guardrail! Castagnoli went out to chase Strong, who dove back inside the ring to come flying at Castagnoli with a pair of boots, but they were caught. Strong kicked himself free and hit the running boots on the second attempt, followed by another backbreaker on the guardrail. Castagnoli was sent back into the ring, but Yuta grabbed Strong’s foot as he tried to get back in. That opened the door for Castagnoli to attack and drop Strong throat-first on the guardrail!
Castagnoli continued to work over Strong in the ring, but he eventually hit some desperation offense and tagged in Cassidy! Cassidy sent Yuta and Garcia to the outside, but faked a dive to lure them back in, so he took them down with a double dropkick. Castagnoli came back in and ate a Stundog Millionaire from Cassidy, who immediately followed with a dive to Garcia on the outside. Briscoe fought off a 2-on-1 advantage for Castagnoli and Yuta and then hit a pair of boots through the ropes to Garcia. With all three Death Riders on the floor, Briscoe hit a twisting press from the top to take them all out! He threw Yuta in the ring and hit a fisherman’s buster for a two count. Briscoe tried for a Jay Driller until Garcia came in to cut it off. Strong saved Briscoe from a guillotine, but Castagnoli threw Strong to the mat. Cassidy came off the top looking for a diving DDT on Castagnoli, only to be caught and dropped by an uppercut. Briscoe returned with a boot to Castagnoli, but turned into a 3-on-1 attack from the Death Riders. Strong saved Briscoe again, leaving Yuta alone with Briscoe in the ring. Briscoe hit a huge lariat and Jay Driller on Yuta for the pinfall!
PAC immediately hit the ring to attack, but Ishii was right there to even the odds, as these two resumed their hostilities from their match at AEW Tailgate Brawl. Moxley returned to the ringside area, and Shafir nailed Ishii with a low blow from behind. The Death Riders cleared the commentary desk so Castagnoli could throw Cassidy through it, but Darby Allin arrived to hit Castagnoli in the knee with a bat. Another shot to the gut gave Cassidy the chance to hit an Orange Punch. The Death Riders retreated through the crowd as Allin stared them down from the ring.
Mercedes Moné Has A New Partner in an Old Acquaintance
Alicia Atout caught up with Moné, who was still covered in cake and screaming about what happened earlier in the night. ROH Women’s World Champion Athena appeared to calm Moné down and reminded Moné that they are both here to make history and build a legacy. And she suggested they do it again as AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions. Moné said she liked the sound of that, “Title number 13!” Athena and Moné left together, apparently re-forming their brief alliance from earlier this year.
Mark Briscoe Wants Another Shot at Kyle Fletcher
After defeating Mark Briscoe to retain his TNT Championship at WrestleDream, Fletcher made it clear he was done with Briscoe following his victory in their fifth singles encounter. Briscoe marched down to the ring and wanted to retort, asking for one more chance at the TNT Championship. Don Callis handled the request, but questioned Briscoe’s focus because of all the kids he has to support. He denied the request and left the ring, as Briscoe and Fletcher had words.
The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Bracket Revealed!
We’ll see eight teams and sixteen women battle to see who will be the first AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions. First-round matchups include Queen Aminata and Jamie Hayter vs. Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart), Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron vs. TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and ROH World Women’s Champion Athena, Alex Windsor and Rhio vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa, and Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford vs. TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay)! The tournament starts next week on Dynamite!
After the bracket was revealed, Renee Paquette caught up with Mina Shirakawa to discuss her team with “Timeless” Toni Storm, which she called the Timeless Love Bombs. She was interrupted by Thekla, who insulted Shirakawa about her recent losses, so Shirakawa challenged her to a match on AEW Collision this Saturday night!
AEW Unified Championship Match: “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (c) def. ROH World Champion and AEW World Tag Team Champion Bandido
Our main event began with a feeling-out process between the two until Okada took a shortcut with a kick to the gut. Bandido fought back and played some mind games by sticking his finger gun in Okada’s face. A hurricanrana sent Okada to the outside, but when Bandido tried to dive to the outside, Okada bailed. When Bandido chased, Okada hid and then attacked Bandido right in front of his family. Bandido quickly turned it around with an arm drag from the apron. Back in the ring, Okada took control back with a flapjack and remained in control.
Okada hit his middle finger pose, but that gave Bandido the chance to recover and hit a tornillo from the top to Okada. He sent Okada to the outside and struck him with a dive to the floor. Bandido sent Okada back in and punished him with a series of kicks. Bandido leapt to the top and hit every bit of a frog splash, but Okada kicked out!
Okada found some separation by pulling Bandido’s bad shoulder into the ropes. He started toying with Bandido’s shoulder by kicking it away and adjusted his normal tombstone into a shoulderbreaker on his knee! Bandido tried to get medical help from the ringside physician, but Okada pulled him back to the ring and continued to work on the shoulder. Bandido somehow battled back with one arm and hit a spinning back fist! He nailed Okada with the X Knee and successfully attempted a 21 Plex! He was too hurt to get to Okada in time, and Okada kicked out at two!
Bandido reversed a powerbomb out of the corner, but was planted by a picture-perfect Okada dropkick. Okada went for the Rainmaker, but Bandido turned it into a small package, and Okada just kicked out in time. Bandido went for a splash in the corner, but jumped right into a pair of boots to the chest. Okada went for the Rainmaker, but Bandido ducked and hit one of his own with his healthy arm! He crushed Okada with another X Knee and went for another 21 Plex, only for Okada to avoid it and put Bandido down with a Rainmaker to get the three count. Okada retained the AEW Unified Championship!
The Don Callis Family came out to celebrate, but IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita came out after the rest of the Family by himself. Callis and Kyle Fletcher cut Takeshita off in the aisle, as Okada smiled in the ring to end our night in San Antonio!
