Tonight, All Elite Wrestling is coming home to Daily's Place for an all-new COLLISION live on TNT as well as streaming on MAX! After a tremendous edition of DYNAMITE where The Hurt Syndicate defeated Private Party to claim the AEW World Tag Titles, Jamie Hayter evened the score with Julia Hart, Swerve took down AR Fox, and “The Rated R Superstar” Cope overcame the offensive onslaught of “The Bastard” PAC, the action comes to Jacksonville with a tremendous trios battle between Undisputed Kingdom and the reunited Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, and TNT Champion Daniel Garcia! In addition, Brody King and Buddy Matthews begin a new chapter in their lives with a battle against Gates of Agony, and AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May goes face-to-face (for the first time?) with her GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA challenger Toni Storm!
COLLISION gets underway beginning at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TNT, as well as streaming on MAX, and fans can get ready for the excitement with a trip to AEW's official YouTube channel for highlights from Wednesday's DYNAMITE, previous editions of COLLISION, Timelines, and so much more! Then, next Wednesday, we return to the Probst Arena in Huntsville, AL for a DYNAMITE where Brian Cage will take on Will Ospreay, and Jeff Jarrett fights The Death Riders' Claudio Castagnoli with a shot at the AEW World Title on the line!
FACE-TO-FACE...
So...here we are, three weeks away from GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA and the long-awaited (re)match between “The Glamour”, or “The Women from Hell” depending on your predilection, AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May and Toni Storm. Except this isn't the Toni Storm who was battered and bloodied by Mariah after the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament, nor the one who meandered off into the streets of Wembley after her loss to Mariah at ALL IN: LONDON 2024. That was “Timeless”, and this woman standing before us today, the one who pinned Julia Hart to earn that title match on February 15th, well she may be named Toni Storm, and they may have some of the same maneuvers inside the wrestling ring, but that's about where things end.
This doesn't even seem like the same woman who walked onto the AEW stage back on the March 30, 2022 edition of DYNAMITE. The Toni Storm we've witnessed since WORLDS END 2024 has felt like a novice, someone in awe of everything she's experienced since (re)debuting in All Elite Wrestling. Every person Toni's encountered she's treated like a first-time meeting, and with every event she's seemed almost overwhelmed by the magnitude of what AEW brings to the table. Even with someone such as Deonna Purrazzo, a woman she had a well-established connection with long before AEW, Toni introduced herself like they'd never met before and was befuddled about Deonna and Taya Valkyrie's knowledge of the tattoo they once shared.
So what does that all mean for this “first” meeting between Toni Storm and Mariah May set for tonight on COLLISION? As seen in the interview conducted by Tony Schiavone during last week's COLLISION, when Schiavone got anywhere near the topic of their past together, Storm veered off into “TONI TIME” and on DYNAMITE Harley Cameron interrupted Storm's interview with Renee Paquette before the topic could even get addressed.
It all begs the question about what we will all witness unfold tonight on COLLISION: HOMECOMING 2025 when Mariah May meets Toni Storm ahead of their championship clash at GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA. Is all time spent together truly lost for Toni Storm? Is there any glimmer of memory flitting about inside her mind? And just how will the Women's Champion treat this situation? Does she believe her betrayal of “Timeless” Toni Storm has evaporated from the recollections of this Toni Storm she's set to fight in three weeks time? It's going to be quite the interesting situation inside Daily's Place tonight...
TRIOS BOUT...
Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, & Roderick Strong) vs.
TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, Angelo Parker, & Matt Menard
Last week on COLLISION, after Shane Taylor single-handedly took down the battle-weary Undisputed Kingdom following their victory over ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty and The Infantry, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and TNT Champion Daniel Garcia were on the spot to fend off Shane Taylor Promotions, as well as give UK the time to recover and defend themselves. Though the save was certainly appreciated, it led to a tense moment as Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong all had their eyes on the TNT Championship belt laying in the ring. Garcia certainly noticed as he picked his title up off the canvas and pointed at all three men.
It is with that in mind that, tonight on COLLISION, Undisputed Kingdom of Cole, O'Reilly, and Strong will lock horns with the TNT Champion, “Daddy Magic”, and a man experiencing a homecoming of his own tonight, Angelo Parker! Parker has not competed inside an AEW ring since the 4/12/24 edition of RAMPAGE, and has been out of action since HONOR CLUB #80 on 9/5/24, but he's been quite busy with a newborn child during that time. Tonight he finally returns to action and reunites with his long-time allies Garcia and Menard for their first trios outing since BATTLE OF THE BELTS VII on 10/21/23! Will COLLISION: HOMECOMING be a successful homecoming for Angelo Parker and his partners, or will Undisputed Kingdom score their second straight trios victory with each having their eyes on Garcia's title?
TAG TEAM BATTLE...
Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) vs. Brody King & Buddy Matthews
Since debuting in Ring of Honor at SUPERCARD OF HONOR 2022: ZERO HOUR, Gates of Agony have lost exactly two tag team matches. One of those was a Four Way situation where neither Bishop Kaun nor Toa Liona was pinned while the other took place just two weeks ago during HONOR CLUB #98 and was a direct result of outside interference. For nearly three years they ran roughshod over Ring of Honor, and tonight on COLLISION, in their first AEW bout since the 10/25/24 edition of RAMPAGE, Kaun and Toa aim to begin doing the same in All Elite Wrestling!
Unfortunately they've got a rough go of it for their first AEW bout of 2025 because standing across the ring will be two men with a whole new lease on their careers, Brody King and Buddy Matthews! It's not the first meeting of these four beasts, that took place on the 5/25/24 COLLISION as part of a Four-Way tag, however this will be their first time fighting in a traditional tag match and it couldn't be happening at a more crucial point in either team's career! The messages sent by both teams in the above embedded video make it quite clear just how important this fight is to their respective futures, but which pair will be the one that get their hands raised when the dust settles in Daily's Place?
AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...
“The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita(c) vs. “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata
Thursday night during ROH ON HONOR CLUB #100, “The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata scored his 17th singles victory, his 11th straight ROH-centric win, and moved his ROH record up to 21-2! In addition to those impressive stats, Shibata is also the fourth-longest reigning Pure Champion in ROH history at 239 days with seven defenses to his credit, a success rate only surpassed by Nigel McGuinness' historic reign! Even before he suffered the injuries that put his career on a 4.5 year hiatus, Shibata was considered one of the most dangerous competitors in professional wrestling, and the fact he came back from a subdural hematoma to wrestle again just makes Shibata that much scarier to prospective opponents.
Then again, it's not like Konosuke Takeshita scares easily. The night Shibata's injury took him out of the game, Takeshita was competing in a tag match for DDT Pro Wrestling 212 miles away, and in the years since he's transformed himself into one of the most impressive competitors of 2025. Takeshita's association with The Don Callis Family has actually been a boon to his career, first taking him to New Japan for the G1 Climax Tournament over the summer, then leading him to claiming the AEW International Championship from Will Ospreay back at WRESTLEDREAM 2024. Already this year it brought Takeshita back to DDT where he teamed with Jun Akiyama on January 3rd and back to NJPW for WRESTLE KINGDOM 19 where he defeated Shingo Takagi to claim the NEVER Openweight Title.
The following night at WRESTLE DYNASTY 2025, Takeshita turned away the challenge of Tomohiro Ishii in a double-title match while Shibata faced Hiroshi Tanahashi in a Five-Minute Exhibition match, the same type of match that brought Shibata back to competition during the 2021 G1 Climax. Takeshita then took his NEVER championship to NJPW BATTLE IN THE VALLEY 2025 to defeat KUSHIDA while Shibata returned to AEW and ROH for a TNT Championship fight with Daniel Garcia, and bouts during ROH ON HONOR CLUB #99 and #100. Clearly Don Callis and Takeshita have kept their eye on Shibata and what he's been doing in ROH because they made the challenge for “The Alpha” to put his International Title on the line against “The Wrestler”!
Of course Shibata would accept such a championship opportunity, that's why tonight on COLLISION, not only will it be AEW's Homecoming but it will also be Takeshita's as he returns to AEW-proper for the first time since defeating Powerhouse Hobbs at WORLDS END 2024! Can Shibata capture his first AEW championship tonight at Daily's Place, or will Takeshita conquer another challenger in his seventh defense in 106 days?
CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION...
AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. ROH World TV Champion Komander
With both men coming off successful title defenses in the last week (Komander over QT Marshall and Kazuchika Okada over Tomohiro Ishii), the two champions will clash tonight in Jacksonville for the very first time! Each man is riding high after the respective title defenses, especially Okada when you factor in his 2024 Continental Classic tournament victory, but whose momentum will carry them to victory tonight during COLLISION: HOMECOMING 2025?
FOUR WAY FIGHT...
Deonna Purrazzo vs. Queen Aminata vs. Serena Deeb vs. Yuka Sakazaki
TBS Champion Mercedes Moné has been on a roll since debuting at DYNAMITE: BIG BUSINESS last year and stepping into the ring for the first time in a year at DOUBLE OR NOTHING 2024 to face then-TBS Champion Willow Nightingale. “The CEO” defeated Willow that night to claim the TBS Title, and in the 244 days since she's successfully defended her championship on 12 occasions against 10 different challengers. Over the course of that time she's also added the NJPW STRONG Women's Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship to her trophy case; it's hard to argue that any one in All Elite Wrestling had a better 2024 and she certainly started her 2025 off with a bang with that RevPro victory.
However it is only January, and tonight on COLLISION four women will clash with aspirations of spoiling this month for “The CEO” before it comes to an end! Queen Aminata, Yuka Sakazaki, Deonna Purrazzo, and Serena Deeb will meet in a Four-Way fight with a shot at the TBS Championship come Wednesday night in Huntsville at stake! Of the four, only Queen Aminata previously challenged Mercedes for the title, while the other three have never stepped into the squared circle with Moné nor have any of them ever contended for the TBS Championship before. Having participated in the initial title tournament three-plus years ago, Deeb is the only one that has even come close, but she was knocked out of contention by Hikaru Shida in the First Round.
So suffice to say there's a lot at stake for the four competitors stepping into the squared circle tonight inside Daily's Place! Who will earn themselves a ticket to Huntsville next week for a meeting with “The CEO”?
DELAYED GRATIFICATION...
Samoa Joe vs. The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne
It had been six months since the last time we saw Samoa Joe in All Elite Wrestling, but last week at DYNAMITE: MAXIMUM CARNAGE the former AEW World Champion returned home to help HOOK against the forces of Christian Cage's Patriarchy! While Christian Cage hightailed it out of harm's way and Nick Wayne was discarded like the piece of trash he's shown himself to be, Kip Sabian paid the price for his supposed family's sins. He got powerslammed nearly through the mat by Joe and punted through the uprights by Katsuyori Shibata all while Christian, Nick, and Mother Wayne watched on from a safe distance.
This match was supposed to take place this past Wednesday on DYNAMITE, but as AEW President Tony Khan stated above, travel delays made that impossible, which gave Nick Wayne some safe distance from Joe for just a few extra days. Tonight in Jacksonville however there will be no safe distance, at least not for “The Prodigy”, because he won't be able to avoid standing in the ring with Samoa Joe any longer as he faces the former AEW World Champion one-on-one! Will “The Patriarch” be there to support his “son” in this fight, or will he leave Nick to the wolves the same way he left Kip Sabian to fend for himself? The AEW faithful have waited a long time to see Samoa Joe back inside the squared circle, and tonight that patience pays off in Joe's first COLLISION match since June 22nd!
COLLISION: HOMECOMING 2025 kicks off at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TNT, as well as streaming on MAX, and what a night of action is on tap for All Elite Wrestling's return to Daily's Place and Jacksonville! Undisputed Kingdom of Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong will meet TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, and the returning Angelo Parker in trios action, the monstrous Gates of Agony take on Brody King and Buddy Matthews in tag team action, and Toni Storm, the #1 Contender to the AEW Women's World Title, will meet champion Mariah May for the very first time (at least in her mind)! Get prepared for the night by visiting the official AEW YouTube channel to catch-up on highlights from Wednesday's DYNAMITE, as well as previous editions of COLLISION, numerous Timelines, and so much more!
Then it's back to the Probst Arena in Huntsville, AL for DYNAMITE featuring Brian Cage versus Will Ospreay, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné defending her title, and Jeff Jarrett facing The Death Riders' Claudio Castagnoli with a future shot at the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley at stake!
