AEW Collision Preview

AEW Collision is live tonight at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT and HBO Max from Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania, with just 8 days to go until AEW All In: London at Wembley Stadium! But first, we have a PPV-worthy Champion vs. Champion match tonight and much more.

AEW Women's World Champion Willow Nightingale is fulfilling a promise and putting the title on the line against TBS Champion Maya World. Of course, her blockbuster (and technically still tentative) AEW Women’s World Championship showdown with Mercedes Moné looms large next weekend in London.

Plus, the AEW Continental Challenge Cup Quarterfinals continue and will produce the last two semifinalists, as The Conglomeration's own Orange Cassidy and Kyle O'Reilly put conglomerating aside to collide! And Claudio Castagnoli takes on Daniel Garcia in a battle of Death Riders, after Garcia won a play-in match against Adam Priest last night at ROH Death Before Dishonor to replace Eddie Kingston, who is not medically cleared. The winners tonight will join defending AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley of the Death Riders and Nigel McGuinness in next Wednesday's C3 Semifinals in Glasgow.

There’s all that and more coming your way tonight. Check out everything you need to know for Collision!

AEW Collision Card Tonight in Reading

AEW Women's World Championship Match: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. TBS Champion Maya World

AEW Women's World Champion Willow Nightingale is putting her title on the line against TBS Champion Maya World tonight, making good on a promise she made when before she won the title from “The Toxic Spider,” Thekla: World would get the first shot. Nightingale wanted to be a woman of her word, so she’s giving World the chance of a lifetime tonight in Reading.

That’s quite a match to grant just eight days before Nightingale is scheduled to defend her AEW Women’s World Title against Mercedes Moné at All In: London. In fact, after accepting the match, World wasted no time in reminding Nightingale that World could be the one defending against Moné in Wembley Stadium. There’s no doubt World has more than earned this shot, surviving a brutal TBS Championship 4-Way against Kris Statlander, CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone and Hikaru Shida on Dynamite to retain the TBS Title. Is Nightingale making a mistake giving the red-hot World a chance at world championship immortality just eight days before the biggest match of her life in London?

AEW Continental Challenge Cup Quarterfinal Match: The Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy vs. The Conglomeration’s Kyle O'Reilly

A Conglomeration collision continues Continental Challenge Cup Quarterfinal action! Orange Cassidy and Kyle O'Reilly are close friends and fellow Conglomerators, but only one can take his spot in next Wednesday's C3 Semifinals in Glasgow. Cassidy advanced with a win over Matt Sydal in the first round, while O'Reilly already dealt with the mixed feelings of battling a longtime partner when he outlasted Roderick Strong to reach the Quarterfinals. How will The Conglomeration handle this potentially rocky road to All In: London? Find out tonight on a very special Collision Quarterfinal test of skill and friendship!

AEW Continental Challenge Cup Quarterfinal Match: Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli vs. Death Riders’ Daniel Garcia

Initially, the blind draw had Castagnoli facing one of his fiercest rivals in Eddie Kingston. Unfortunately, Kingston was ruled out of action due to a medical issue, so Tony Khan announced a play-in between Adam Priest and Castagnoli’s fellow Death Rider, Daniel Garcia, last night at ROH Death Before Dishonor. Garcia came away victorious, and all of a sudden, we have another faction going to battle against each other, on less than 24 hours notice, with high stakes.

There’s no doubt Castagnoli and Garcia have faced off plenty of times in their intense training, but to date, Castagnoli owns the victory in their only singles encounter, which came in the 2023 Continental Classic. To get to the C3 Quarterfinals, Castagnoli took almost all he could handle from Bang Bang Gang’s Ace Austin and came out with the win.

The Death Riders know they’ll have a pair of their best in the C3 Semifinals, no matter how this one goes, but will it be Garcia or Castagnoli who joins AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley in the penultimate round of the Cup?
