AEW Collision Preview: July 18, 2026 – TBS, TNT & ROH World Championships on the Line, Mercedes Moné Speaks, Will Ospreay in Action, More

AEW Collision is back in Boston for another night in MGM Music Hall at Fenway on TNT and HBO Max at 8 pm ET/7 pm CT. It’s a stacked Saturday night with three championships on the line just eight days out from the inaugural AEW Redemption in Montreal!

"The Ace of TBS" Hikaru Shida makes her second TBS Title defense against Queen Aminata, who wants payback and her first AEW gold after Shida brutally attacked her friend, Harley Cameron, last week. "The Jet" Kevin Knight puts the TNT Championship on the line against the dynamic AR Fox just four days before he’s set to defend against Darby Allin on Dynamite. Plus, ROH World Champion Bandido has a stiff challenge from Adam Priest tonight as he prepares for AEW International Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher next week at Redemption. 

After winning the Dynamite main event alongside AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion, 2026 Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament champion Mercedes Moné is back tonight in her hometown, and she has something to say. And she’s not the only one trying to soak up that hometown feeling. “Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa put out an open challenge to face him in Boston, and The Rascalz’ Myron Reed answered. Plus, Will Ospreay is in action against longtime friend and training partner Adam Brooks. 

All that and more goes down tonight as AEW closes out another memorable week in Boston with a jam-packed edition of Collision! Here’s everything you need to know!

AEW Collision Tonight in Boston

TBS Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Queen Aminata

Is “The Ace of TBS” putting an unnecessary target on her back?  Last week on Collision, Shida beat Harley Cameron in her first TBS Title defense, then brutally attacked Cameron until Aminata came out to save her friend. Aminata wants revenge, and tonight she gets the ultimate chance – by trying to take Shida’s TBS Championship.

Aminata is still looking for her first AEW championship, and the moment isn’t lost on her. She posted on X, “This is my fourth shot at the TBS Championship. Three times I fell short but this time, I’ll be leaving that ring as your NEW TBS Champion. This isn’t just another title match for the Queen….This is my redemption. And when it’s all said and done, TBS won’t stand for The Best is Shida…It’ll stand for ‘The Best Serves… the Queen.’” 

Will Aminata become The Queen of TBS with her first championship? Or will Shida’s ruthless reign continue?

TNT Championship Match: "The Jet" Kevin Knight (c) vs. AR Fox

To say The Jet has a lot on his plate would be an understatement. After he was granted a shot at the AEW World Championship by Kenny Omega next weekend at Redemption, Knight was attacked by Darby Allin. However, he will finally be forced to face Allin for the TNT Title in four days on Dynamite. 

That’s if he defeats tonight’s challenger, AR Fox. Coming off a win two days ago on ROH TV, Fox challenged Knight after the TNT Champion brought a bit of disrespect Fox’s way immediately after the show – and Knight wasted no time accepting. Fox is a former ROH World TV Champion who won that championship in May and ripped off five successful defenses in under a month before losing to Lio Rush at Global Wars. 

If that breakneck title pace sounds familiar, Fox is a former training partner of Allin, who, of course, had the most chaotic 39-day reign as AEW World Champion we’ve seen, with seven successful defenses. Can Fox start his own new reign tonight and win his first AEW gold? Or will Knight send a message to Allin with a victory over his friend?

We'll Hear From Mercedes Moné

On Wednesday, Boston got to see Moné win the Dynamite main event, and tonight, she’s back with something to say! She’s still 43 days away from her AEW Women’s World Championship match at AEW All In: London, so it’s fair to say she’s quite invested in next weekend’s AEW Women’s World Title match at Redemption when Thekla defends against Willow Nightingale. And what will Moné say about her new partnership with AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion, “Colossal” Lena Kross and “Megasus” Megan Bayne? The CEO is in the house tonight in Boston!

Will Ospreay vs. Adam Brooks

Before a potential showdown with friend and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at All In: London, this Wednesday, Ospreay asked for a match against another longtime friend and training partner, Adam Brooks. They’ve battled everywhere from Australia to the UK to California, so the familiarity is a good thing for Ospreay and he looks to stay sharp heading into the biggest match of his career. 

“Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa vs. The Rascalz' Myron Reed

On Dynamite, Ciampa accepted Jericho's challenge for Redemption, then made a challenge of his own, calling for a fight in his hometown tonight and inviting the Painmaker to watch. The unpredictable and innovative Myron Reed of The Rascalz has taken the match, but does he know what he’s walking into, considering the levels the Psycho Killer has gone to in his bloody rivalry with Jericho? Ciampa might get plenty of love from Boston, but the hate he has for Jericho will be on display against Reed.

“Jungle” Jack Perry vs. Nick Wayne

After re-signing with AEW, Perry is looking to start his second chapter with a challenge. Tonight, he wanted to face someone who stands in the same position he once stood in and wants to break through. Perry will get his wish in former ROH World TV Champion Nick Wayne, who is coming off a strong run in his second NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Tournament in May and June. For the first time ever, Perry meets Wayne with an eye toward the future on Collision!

ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Adam Priest

ROH World Champion Bandido is set for a highly-anticipated AEW International Championship match against “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher in eight days at Redemption, but he has his own ROH World Title defense to worry about tonight against Adam Priest. It’s been nearly a year since Priest last challenged Bandido for the title, but he comes into this battle on a two-match win streak in ROH. After defending the ROH World Title twice in three days last week and winning a tag match alongside his Brodido partner, Brody King, on Dynamite, Bandido looks to stay hot tonight in Boston.

ROH Women's World Champion Athena in Action

After a dominant showing in the Casino Gauntlet at Beach Break, Athena is once again turning AEW into Athena Elite Wrestling tonight in Boston. The record-setting ROH Women's World Champion is in action on Collision!

The Brawling Birds in Action

With All In: London on the horizon, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor want to prove they're willing to go through anyone to get there. Tonight in Boston, the Birds are back in tag team action for the first time in two months, and they’re ready for a scrap (and a pint or two)!
