AEW Collision Preview

It’s the Day of the Dead, and we’re celebrating with AEW Fright Night Collision in Edinburg, Texas, tonight at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT and streaming on HBO Max!

Mercedes Moné will put her CMLL World Women’s Title on the line against Olympia, and AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander promised to be there in person to “support” Moné before they square off at AEW Full Gear on November 22! And that won’t be the only title at stake, as ROH World Champion Bandido defends against Máscara Dorada in a rematch of their classic ROH World Title match back in June at Global Wars.

AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita have even more issues after The Don Callis Family Summit. Still, Callis wants them to work it out tonight as a team against the reluctant duo of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens.

Meanwhile, with Hologram out, Komander steps into a guest starring role with The Conglomeration, as he joins Mark Briscoe and Roderick Strong to face LFI’s Sammy Guevara, The Beast Mortos, and Dralístico in Trios action!  Plus, with Penelope Ford injured, we’ll see the team of Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament, but before that, they will be in action for the first time tonight! All that and much more is on Fright Night Collision!

Here’s your complete AEW Collision preview for November 1, 2025.

AEW Collision Matches, Preview for Saturday, November 1

CMLL World Women’s Championship Match: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Olympia

For the first time, the CMLL World Women’s Championship will be defended on AEW Collision, as CMLL World Women’s Champion Mercedes Moné will take on Olympia tonight!

The last time Ultimo Moné put that title on the line, she turned back a tough challenge from Persephone two weeks ago in Arena Mexico. Olympia made her intentions known for the CMLL World Women’s Championship. Still, Moné said the next defense would happen in America, so Olympia showed up on Collision last week to defeat Taya Valkyrie and called out Moné.

Can Moné turn away one of her most powerful opponents to date? We’ll find out in Texas tonight!

ROH World Championship Match: Bandido (c) vs. Máscara Dorada

When you have two major championships, you’re always in demand, but the ROH World Champion and one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Bandido, welcomes the challenges that come with being a world champion, let alone a double champ. That’s why tonight, he’ll defend the ROH World Championship against Mácara Dorada!

These two lit up Arena Mexico back in June at Global Wars in their first battle over the ROH World Championship. Can Bandido turn away Dorada once again? It should be a tremendous atmosphere in Texas for this epic showdown on Fright Night Collision!

Tag Team Match: AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada & IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family vs. Anthony Bowens & Max Caster

The Don Callis Family Summit on Dynamite didn’t do anything to quell the ongoing tension between Okada and Takeshita. In fact, those tensions rose even higher when Okada rebuffed Takeshita’s handshake with a middle-finger salute! Callis did his best to bring the two together in the name of the Family, as he’s attempting to have Okada and Takeshita work out their differences as a team.

On Fright Night Collision, they’ll face a duo with similar issues. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens want nothing to do with each other or any thoughts of reuniting The Acclaimed. However, they’ve won two matches as a team, and even they would have to acknowledge how impressive it would be to defeat Okada and Takeshita.

Which combustible combination wins this top-tier matchup?

Trios Match: Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe & Komander vs. La Facción Ingobernable (Sammy Guevara, The Beast Mortos and Dralístico)

The Conglomeration don’t have the injured Hologram around these days, so tonight, Komander will step in for his friend to team with Mark Briscoe and Roderick Strong against LFI.

While The Conglomeration and Strong continue to deal with the Death Riders and a looming Blood and Guts showdown on November 12, tonight, they’ll have to focus on a motivated trio of Sammy Guevera, The Beast Mortos and Dralístico. Komander also has plenty of history with LFI, which adds another element to this already eye-catching Trios contest.

Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir Will Be in Action!

Unfortunately, Penelope Ford suffered a torn UCL in her right arm and is out indefinitely, Megan Bayne needed to find a new partner for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament. That search ended just as quickly as it began when Marina Shafir stepped up and a new partnership was formed – one that even caught the attention of Jon Moxley!

Tonight, before they have their first tournament match, we’ll see Bayne and Shafir tag for the first time. Shafir sent an ominous message with a picture of the two on Instagram that said, “The Goddess asked for The Problem, so you all get war.” If these two quickly develop some tag-team chemistry, we may have a new favorite to be the first AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions. Bayne and Shafir are in action tonight!

MxM TV Casting Call

Who will respond to this open challenge to face any combination of Johnny TV, Taya Valkyrie, Mason Madden and Mansoor? Last week, as a reminder, Valkyrie had to deal with Olympia, and it didn’t go so well for MxM TV. Will they fare better on Fright Night Collision?
