We were thrilled to close out the first of three weeks at the historic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA with a tremendously passionate crowd for AEW Collision!
Our main event saw a victory for “Timeless” Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, and Queen Aminata, but the night ended with more dominance from Triangle of Madness. Daniel Garcia got some advice from Jon Moxley and challenged the former AEW World Champion to a rematch. The Don Callis Family prepared for a big week by handling their business in and out of the ring before they head to AEW Dynamite for an All-Star 8-Man Tag. Hologram remained undefeated with a win over Jay Lethal, but is there more to worry about in the algorithm? FTR took care of business in their match and had a message for Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Plus, Big Bill got a measure of revenge on the Bang Bang Gang. And two championship challenges were made with one match made official for AEW Dynamite!
Here’s everything that transpired on AEW Collision for August 30, 2025, including your full results and match recaps.
AEW Collision Recap Tonight for Philadelphia
Daniel Garcia def. Blake Christian
Following a tough loss to Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite and some interesting post-match conversation with Moxley and other members of the Death Riders, Daniel Garcia was in action accompanied by Daddy Magic to open up tonight’s AEW Collision live in Philadelphia.
Right after the bell rang, Moxley seemingly appeared out of nowhere in Garcia’s corner and offered some words with Marina Shafir watching it all go down on the outside. Just as soon as they appeared, they were gone and the match began, leaving Daddy Magic a bit perplexed by the situation on commentary.
Garcia almost seemed distracted by the entire interaction, and struggled to get out of the blocks with Christian taking some early control thanks to a little distraction from Lee Johnson on the outside.
A defensive Garcia fought his way back in with a high angle suplex as the 2300 Arena chanted, “Danny! Danny! Danny!”
And then Garcia flipped a switch, and he rained down chops on Christian, noticeably much sharper than the chops he threw earlier in the match.
After choking out Christian, Garcia quickly switched to a spike piledriver and got the 1-2-3!
Following the match, Tony Schiavone tried to find out what Moxley said to Garcia, but Garcia blew right through the question and laid out a challenge to Moxley next week.
Wheeler Yuta and Shafir appeared at ringside and accepted the challenge on behalf of the Death Riders. Philly made sure to tell Yuta to be quiet in their own loving way.
Roderick Strong Questions Kyle O’Reilly’s Teammate Choice
Earlier in the day, Lexy Nair caught up with Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Tomohiro Ishii, and Hologram ahead of O’Reilly and Ishii tagging up to face TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher and Josh Alexander. Strong questioned why O’Reilly would tag up with Ishii to go after a shared enemy in Fletcher.
O’Reilly tried to calm Strong down, reminding him that Ishii saved them on the Forbidden Door Zero Hour last weekend in London. He preached the virtues of The Conglomeration, although it didn’t seem like anything was getting through to Strong.
TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher & Josh Alexander of The Don Callis Family def. Tomohiro Ishii & Kyle O’Reilly
Don Callis joined the commentary desk and Philadelphia let Callis know what they thought of him with some colorful language.
O’Reilly and Alexander started things off, although neither was able to get much of an advantage, so Ishii and Fletcher tagged in the match for the first time. They traded a few stiff shots before O’Reilly tagged back in and you know what that means…
KYLE VERSUS KYLE!
One of the most unique matches in AEW Collision history was revisited, but only for a short time, as Alexander helped take out O’Reilly on the outside. That put the Callis Family in firm control with Alexander coming back in to grind down O’Reilly.
Alexander missed a moonsault attempt and after a big clothesline, O’Reilly tagged Ishii as Alexander tagged Fletcher. Ishii completely took over the match at this point, having no qualms about taking on both of his opponents, before focusing on Fletcher as the legal man.
Once again Alexander and O’Reilly tagged back in with the Walking Weapon going to an ankle lock before O’Reilly reversed it to put on one of his own. O’Reilly kept Alexander in range to move to another submission before going into some brutal tag team offense with Ishii.
On the outside, Fletcher narrowly avoided a flying knee from O’Reilly, which sent him crashing into the barrier.
Back in the ring, Alexander and Ishii slugged it out, but with a simple trip from Fletcher, Ishii was distracted, allowing Alexander to hit an unseen low blow followed by straight jacket piledriver to get the win for the Callis Family.
Strong came out to check on O’Reilly and attempted to lead him away from checking on a downed Ishii.
Jamie Hayter and Thekla Brawl Outside the 2300 Arena!
All of a sudden, we were taken behind the 2300 Arena, where Jamie Hayter and Thekla were going at it in the loading dock! A barrage of fists, kicks, and more than a few choice words were exchanged as security and officials came in to break it up. Thekla took out two security guards before diving off the dock onto a restrained Hayter and more security and officials. Thekla and Hayter have a lot to settle, and that brawl only stoked the flames.
Mother Wayne Handles Kip Sabian and Killswitch
Earlier in the day, Mother Wayne attempted to calm down a very agitated Kip Sabian, as he complained about Killswitch. Just then, Killswitch showed up and Sabian blamed him for their loss to Adam Copeland and Christian Cage at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Before things got too heated, Wayne had Sabian take a walk.
Hologram def. Jay Lethal
Jay Lethal made his way to the ring to a nice reception from a Philadelphia crowd that knows him very well, as Tony Schiavone ran down Lethal’s accolades as the most decorated wrestler in ROH history.
Hologram doesn’t have the longevity of Lethal, but when you’re 30-0 in AEW, all that matters is the present. And so far, no one has had an answer for Hologram.
Early in the match, Lethal had his own struggles with Hologram, as he couldn’t seem to figure out any of Hologram’s unique movements and escapes. Lethal finally went to the tried and true backbreaker for his first offense of the match. The former ROH World Champion stayed on the offensive by dumping Ricochet on his face and continued the attack on the head and face.
Lethal did his best to slow the match down to stay in control, but seemed to get overzealous and started to speed things up, which played right into Hologram’s hands. When Lethal took a little too much time gathering himself on the outside, Hologram saw an opening and hit a twisting dive to swing the match. Hologram walked the ropes, but jumped right into a Lethal Combination.
With Lethal primed for the King’s Elbow, he dove right into a waiting Hologram, who showed a rare submission. Lethal reversed that into a figure four, but was too close to the ropes.
Lethal tried for the Lethal Injection, but Hologram was ready and reversed it into a lung blower. With Lethal gasping for air, Hologram hit him with a Protobomb for the win.
After the match, there was a glitch in Hologram’s algorithm with lines of computer code showing up to reveal a corruption issue and some type of clone message. An image of what looked like a red version of Hologram appeared and disappeared before the word “soon” appeared on the screen. Back in the ring, Hologram was out of sorts, but attempted to celebrate with the fans.
Ricochet and GOA Send a Message to The Hurt Syndicate
We got a brief history of what’s gone down between Ricochet and The Hurt Syndicate, including being his denied a spot in the group. Ricochet has had vengeance on his mind for some time and with GOA by his side, the three made it clear they have much more business to do with The Hurt Syndicate.
Alex Windsor def. Ashley Vox
A focused and fired up Windsor marched to the ring with a purpose, which was evident when she made quick work of Vox with a fisherman’s buster, two powerbombs, and her version of the Sharpshooter for the submission win.
Speaking of submissions, Tony Schiavone asked Windsor about tapping Mercedes Moné and Moné’s comments about putting Windsor in the hospital next to her husband, Will Ospreay.
Windsor reminded Moné that she did indeed tap her out and could do it again, but she would not have Ospreay’s undermined future be made into jokes. She laid out a challenge to Moné for a match in Philadelphia.
Mark Briscoe Speaks Face to Face with Don Callis
Lexy Nair moderated a conversation between Mark Briscoe and Don Callis with promises of no physicality. Briscoe asked Callis why his TNT Championship challenge to “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher hadn't been answered after 72 hours.
Callis said he and the family have been busy because they want the AEW World Championship from Hangman Adam Page. Callis told Briscoe he would pick one of the many members of his family to face Briscoe. Briscoe responded that if he won, he should get his chance at Fletcher’s TNT Title. Callis agreed to the stipulation, although he didn’t seem too worried about Briscoe’s chances.
FTR def. JD Drake & Adam Priest
Sadly, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler made their way to the ring without Stokely, as he was apparently still feeling the effects of Christian Cage’s sneak attack on AEW Dynamite.
Perhaps FTR was taken a bit off guard early, as Drake and Priest hit some impressive tag team offense with Drake’s impressive agility for a man his size on display. FTR immediately went to underhanded tactics to distract the referee and swung the match back in their favor.
With FTR in full control, Drake was punished and failed to get to Priest for the tag multiple times. He somehow found the energy to fight back into the match with a big suplex and cannonball. As he scaled the top rope, Philadelphia came unglued when Drake hit a picture perfect moonsault that nearly earned him and Priest the upset.
Harwood and Wheeler hit a desperation Shatter Machine on Drake, sending him to the outside. Harwood then went to work on Priest with stiff shots to the jaw and vicious chops. Priest showed a lot of heart by trying to fight back, yet Harwood cut him off quickly and sent Priest’s shoulder into the ringpost three times. With Priest weakened, Harwood locked in the Border City Stretch to get the tap out win.
Wheeler grabbed the microphone and yelled at Adam Copeland for ruining FTR’s chance to add to their legacy because he always makes it about himself. Wheeler said they will end this in Toronto at All Out. Harwood blamed Copeland and Christian Cage for Stokely’s absence. He said this could have been a dream match, but Copeland and Cage ruined that.
“We have to end your careers in Toronto. Don’t make us end your life. Top Guys, out.”
Sammy Guevara’s Plan Comes Into Focus
We take a look back at the events of ROH Death by Dishonor when Sammy Guevara teamed with Marshall and Ross Von Erich in a losing effort to Shane Taylor Promotions for the ROH Six-Man World Tag Team Titles.
However, Guevara became a champion again later in the night when he teamed with his mystery partner, RUSH, to defeat The Outrunners for the vacant ROH World Tag Team Titles. With the Von Erichs out to celebrate, Guevara attacked them and aligned himself with La Facción Ingobernable in what appeared to be a master plan all along.
The Don Callis Family Speaks Ahead of the All Star 8-Man Tag at AEW Dynamite
Lexy Nair spoke with Don Callis, Josh Alexander, and TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher ahead of their All-Star 8-Man Tag alongside the Young Bucks against AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page, Kenny Omega, and JetSpeed. Alexander made it clear the reason he came to AEW was to get his chance at Omega, so that’s where his focus is heading into this match next week.
Fletcher briefly addressed Mark Briscoe’s challenge for his TNT Championship, but said the goal was to bring the AEW World Championship to the Don Callis Family.
Big Bill def. Juice Robinson
Losing $200K in a 4-Way Tag is the only thing that’s been on Big Bill’s mind since the match happened over a month ago and he put the blame solely on the Bang Bang Gang. Finally, Bill had a chance to get his hands on Juice Robinson for revenge.
Surprisingly, Bill didn’t let his anger get the best of him and took a few shots from Robinson before luring him into a mistake. Bill took advantage with a huge boot and he remained in control for quite some time, delivering punishment both in and out of the ring.
A massive bear hug started to take the air right out of Juice, but he rallied with some help from the Philly crowd and fought his way back into the match by chopping down Big Bill.
A big left cross connected right across the jaw of Big Bill, but Robinson was only able to get a two count. A clearly weakened Juice made his way to the top, which is when Bryan Keith got involved. The distraction was enough for Bill to recover so he could hit Robinson with his patented sidewalk slam and the victory.
SkyFlight Kick Off the Altitude Era
Scorpio Sky and Leyla Grey touted their two victories as a team to begin the Altitude Era, although Darius Martin immediately spoke up to remind them that they already beat Shane Taylor Promotions, so they should be the ROH Six-Man Tag Champions, not STP. As he stormed off, Christopher Daniels asked Dante Martin what was up with his brother, but Dante said he’s always like that.
Gabe Kidd Takes Aim at Darby Allin
Gabe Kidd had words for Darby Allin and his need to take everything from Jon Moxley. Kidd said he wanted Allin to meet him next week in Philadelphia, but he doesn’t care about rules or a referee. He wants to take Allin’s soul and leave him as a broken, brittle, frail freak.
AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm, Interim ROH Women’s World TV Champion Mina Shirakawa & Queen Aminata def. Billie Starkz & Triangle of Madness’ Skye Blue and Julia Hart
The AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm made her way to the ring for our main event, as we saw some of her adoring fans dressed in her iconic looks.
Storm got things started with Skye Blue and fell right back into her teamwork with Mina Shirakawa before bringing in Queen Aminata, who continued her wild week with some of her textbook offense including the Chocolate Kisses.
Then, Storm and Aminata went to work on the outside, which allowed Shirakawa to hit a huge crossbody from the top to the floor on Starkz, Blue, and Hart, as the crowd roared in approval.
Before Aminata could take advantage, she got taken out on the apron and the match swung the other way. With Aminata stuck in the wrong corner, she took a lot of damage trying to tag in one of her partners, but eventually hit a roll of the dice to get some separation and tag in Storm.
Storm was absolutely on fire, taking on both Blue and Hart on her own. Then, the match completely broke down with all six women getting into the mix. Eventually, it came back to Shirakawa and Hart as the legal women with Shirakawa exhibiting some very innovative offense.
Hart fought through a figure four, and despite the damage to her leg and blood coming out of her nose, she hung in there and helped Blue subdue Shirakawa for a moment.
Starkz finally tagged back in the match, but Shirakawa was ready with a back elbow to the head and finished Starkz off with the Glamourous Mina for the win in our main event.
Shirakawa didn’t have a chance to celebrate, as Thekla hit the ring to attack her. Storm and Aminata tried to help, but were quickly taken out by Triangle of Madness. Thekla hit assisted spears on both Storm and Shirakawa before doing the same to Aminata, as Triangle of Madness stood tall and basked in their dominance to end our night in Philadelphia.
Before we went off the air, it was announced that Alex Windsor would challenge Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday and Jon Moxley will face Daniel Garcia once again on AEW Collision next week.
