SMASHING THE FORBIDDEN GATE...

Jon Moxley vs. Minoru Suzuki

February 9th of 2020, NJPW: The New Beginning in Osaka 2020 (Watch Here); with the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Title on the line, Jon Moxley defeated Minoru Suzuki to retain the championship. As a result of the pandemic, it would be Moxley's final defense of that title for a little over a year until KENTA kicked open the Forbidden Door. And ever since that door was blown off its hinges, there have been many competitors that fans have clamored for, some we have seen like KENTA, Yuji Nagata, and Hikuleo, and but perhaps none have been as demanded as “The King”!

And despite Mox's victory of “The King”, or perhaps because of it, this is a rematch fans around the world have been clamoring for this whole time. On Sunday night at ALL OUT 2021, as seen in that tweet embedded above, it became clear that Minoru himself also wants another round with the man New Japan has dubbed “The Death Rider”. After a hard-fought victory over Satoshi Kojima, as Mox stood in the ring, Ayumi Nakamura's “Kaze Ni Nare” blared throughout the NOW Arena to herald the arrival of the Suzuki-Gun head!

The moment rapidly turned violent, and this time it was Mox who got laid out via Gotch-Style Piledriver. Suzuki stood over his fallen enemy, Jon's blood smeared across his body, with a sadistic look across his face that is all too familiar to anyone who has followed 30-plus year career. Much like the former AEW World Champion, Minoru Suzuki is a man who lives for the fight, craves the violence, and actually appears to take pleasure being hit in the face. You can read up more on MiSu's history here (Read Here), just know that for a man like Jon Moxley, there could not be a more perfect foe for this homecoming battle.

Fists will fly, chokes will be applied, blood will likely spill, noses may be broken, and there will be much revelry in the shared violence. Be it Mox or Suzuki who stands as victor after this fight, each will know war before getting to the final bell.

ONE-ON-ONE...

“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes vs. Malakai Black

Malakai Black has spent weeks dismantling The Nightmare Family piece-by-piece. He started attacking the head back at DYNAMITE: ROAD RAGER when he laid Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson out in his debut, and fully severed it at DYNAMITE: HOMECOMING 2021 by first besting Cody in a match, and then destroying him in the midst of what seemed a retirement speech.

Since that decimation a month ago, Malakai annihilated Brock Anderson in rapid fashion on DYNAMITE and then, just as he said he would, took his time in defeating Lee Johnson last Friday night on RAMPAGE.

Now it is “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes who will step into The House Of Black to exact righteous vengeance on behalf of The Nightmare Family. It is not the first time Rhodes has been in the position of fighting for his family, be it his blood or his Nightmare kin, but it is to be expected when you are a member of one of pro wrestling's royal families. What is rather unnerving about this time around though is the foe himself; as has been pointed out since his arrival, Malakai Black is a man whose entire aura seems designed to psychologically breakdown his opponents before the bell even rings for a match to begin. The entrance music, the ambiance of it, the garb he wears to the ring, it all is designed to shake even the strongest game before the first lock-up, but unlike his previous opponents in AEW, Cody included, this time his foe is a man for whom those mind games are old hat.

Dustin Rhodes has been there, he has used those tricks of the trade to grand success for quite some time, and has lived within the dark places for so many years. He is a competitor accustomed to what Malakai Black brings to the table from a psychological standpoint; his preparation has to lie in what Black brings from a physical standpoint. Black has the youth and speed, Rhodes has the experience and the grit, together this is a powder keg that, as Mark Henry tweeted (View Tweet), is going to kick ass.

THE NEXT CONTENDER...

Casino Battle Royale Winner Ruby Soho vs. Jamie Hayter

Sunday night at ALL OUT 2021 the second ever Women's Casino Battle Royale took place, and was quite a chaotic affair. Twenty-one women were entered into the field going into the night, but Julia Hart was removed from the equation after an assault by Nyla Rose and Jade Cargill. That left an open spot in the fight for a future Women's World Title Match, and when the Joker card was pulled, Rancid's “Ruby Soho” blasted throughout the NOW Arena to declare the arrival of the woman herself onto the AEW scene!

One of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling, Ruby Soho emerged from the tunnel to a raucous ovation and hit the ring ready for a fight! At the end, after Nyla Rose was eliminated, it came down to Ruby and Thunder Rosa to see just who would be the next challenger for AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker who had successfully retained her title earlier in the night.

It was a tremendous back-and-forth between Rosa and Ruby, but after 22 minutes of action, it would be “The Runaway” who survived to earn the title opportunity! It was truly an emotional moment when, as the realization of her victory washed over, Ruby embraced referee Bryce Remsburg before standing to take in the moment of celebration. But the time to rejoice is brief as this Wednesday night, Ruby jumps straight into competition against Baker's muscle: Jamie Hayter.

During the CBR, Hayter was responsible for eliminating former AEW Women's World Champion Riho, as well as Big Swole, before Jade Cargill dumped her over the top rope, thus putting an end to Britt's hopes of her allies serving as roadblocks to any challengers. That was a very different situation though, one in which Hayter had to contend with multiple foes coming at all angles, this Wednesday on DYNAMITE, it is just one-on-one with no distractions. Hayter has a chance to really prove her worth to the Good Doctor by stopping Soho's momentum dead just days after her triumphant arrival onto the AEW stage!

As for Ruby Soho, with this golden opportunity, the pressure is now on to live up to the expectations the fans worldwide have for her, and she no doubt has for herself, and there are few better ways to do that than LIVE on TNT. Ruby Soho's new destination is known and it is the AEW Women's World Title and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D!

POWER VERSUS SPEED...

(#2) Powerhouse Hobbs (w/ Hook) vs. Dante Martin

They are two of the most promising athletes on the AEW roster for drastically different reasons, and this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE, they will collide one-on-one! It's the speed of Dante Martin versus the raw strength of Powerhouse Hobbs with two impressive win streaks on the line; Martin has won five straight singles bouts while Hobbs notched his sixth with a victory over Brian Cage last Wednesday night, a win it should be noted that locked him in at the #2 spot in the rankings.

Martin has done nothing but impress over the last six months since essentially being forced into singles competition after his brother's serious injury. His bouts against Matt Sydal, Lee Moriarty, Eddue Kingston, Captain Shawn Dean, Alan Angels, and JD Drake are just a few examples of how Dante has grown as an athlete, but in all 22 of his singles matches, Martin has yet to face a man quite like Powerhouse Hobbs. To be fair, there are few men comparable to Hobbs in pro wrestling as a whole, much less in AEW, but the same can be said for Dante Martin. When put into opposition, they are the epitome of the “power versus speed” dynamic, and Wednesday night in Cincinnati, we shall see which wins out!

SEVEN...

After his emotional victory over Darby Allin at ALL OUT 2021 on Sunday night, we will hear from CM Punk LIVE on Wednesday night! On that pay-per-view extravaganza, Punk truly lived up to the “Best In The World” moniker competing in his first match in seven-plus years, but now that the first one is out of his system, the question on everyone's mind is: what's next? Perhaps we will find out from the man himself on DYNAMITE this Wednesday on TNT and AEWPlus.com!

RETURN OF THE (AMERICAN) DRAGON...

We also anticipate hearing from “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson following his surprise arrival in AEW at the end of ALL OUT 2021! Bryan shared some emotional thoughts with the crowd inside the NOW Arena after the pay-per-view, what will he have to say now that he is officially All Elite? Given how the night ended for The Elite, rest assured that they will all have their ears open to hear what Danielson has to say and their eyes fixed on the monitors as he speaks!

ALL ELITE BAYBAY...

And speaking of The Elite, Adam Cole was the man who had his shocking arrival in AEW spoiled by “The American Dragon” so he no doubt has some thoughts to share with the world after his ALL OUT 2021 rebirth and reunion with his Elite brethren. Tune into TNT this Wednesday starting at 8pm EDT/7pm CDT to see just what Cole has running through his mind now that he is back with his brothers...baybay!

All eyes will be on this edition of DYNAMITE as we experience the ALL OUT FALLOUT LIVE on TNT starting at 8pm EDT/7pm CDT, and on AEWPlus.com for our International fans! It's a Cincinnati Homecoming for Jon Moxley as he goes to war with Minoru Suzuki, Ruby Soho jumps head first into the fray with Jamie Hayter, Malakai Black and Dustin Rhodes dive into the darkness, and we will feel the effects of what Bryan Danielson's and Adam Cole's arrivals will have on All Elite Wrestling!
