AEW Dynamite Preview

We are back in the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for AEW Dynamite on 34th Street! This special Christmas Eve edition begins at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT on TBS and streaming on HBO Max, just three days from AEW Worlds End in Chicago on PPV!

The final two nights of league matches in the Continental Classic kick off tonight, with the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Konosuke Takeshita, trying to stay on top of the Blue League against Orange Cassidy, who would take over the lead with a win. Meanwhile, Roderick Strong looks to play spoiler in his Blue League match with Máscara Dorada. And in the Gold League, PAC and “Jungle” Jack Perry face each other for the first time with significant implications for the leaderboard!

After winning the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale last week, AEW National Champion Ricochet takes on ROH World Champion Bandido one-on-one in the Dynamite Diamond Ring Final, with the winner earning an AEW World Title shot on January 14 at AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage in Phoenix.

Plus, MJF will return to action on Dynamite just days before he heads to AEW Worlds End for the AEW World Championship 4-Way, along with “Hangman” Adam Page, Swerve Strickland and AEW World Champion Samoa Joe. AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter will have a face-to-face interview ahead of their AEW Women’s World Championship match at World End. And Mina Shirakawa will battle Marina Shafir!

All that and more will go down tonight on Dynamite on 34th Street in New York City! Here’s your complete AEW Dynamite on 34th Street for December 24, 2025.

AEW Dynamite on 34th Street Matches, Preview for Wednesday, December 24

Continental Classic Blue League: IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita (7 points) vs. Orange Cassidy (6 points)

Even though he’s undefeated, Takeshita needs to beat Cassidy to stay in first place and break the tie with Claudio Castagnoli at seven points. A win for Takeshita would also clinch a spot in the Continental Classic Semifinals at Worlds End. If Cassidy wins, he’ll sit alone atop the Blue League heading into the final night of league action tomorrow on Christmas Collision.

Can Cassidy win his third straight and give Takeshita his first loss of this year’s tournament? Or will Takeshita be the first to punch his ticket to the semifinals?

Continental Classic Gold League: PAC (6 points) vs. “Jungle” Jack Perry (3 points)

For the first time anywhere, we’ll see PAC and Perry do battle, with the added stakes of increasingly precious points in the Continental Classic on the line.

Perry would be in dire straits with a loss, as he would need to win against Kyle Fletcher on Collision and get some help to make it to the semifinals. While PAC wouldn’t clinch a spot with a win, he would control his own destiny heading into tomorrow night’s match with Kevin Knight if he were to beat Perry tonight.

Continental Classic Blue League: Roderick Strong (0 points) vs. Máscara Dorada (3 points)

Dorada is clinging to life in this tournament with three points after losing to Orange Cassidy last week in the first half of AEW Collision Holiday Bash. Meanwhile, Strong can only play spoiler after being mathematically eliminated with his loss to Jon Moxley at AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash.

While he has just a single win, Dorada had one of the greatest upsets of the C2 when he handed Claudio Castagnoli his only loss of the tournament so far two weeks ago on Collision. Dorada’s hopes remain alive, but will he be able to withstand the onslaught of Strong? And how will Strong wrestle with nothing to lose?

AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander & Jamie Hayter Face-to-Face Interview

We’re three days from Worlds End, where Statlander will put her AEW Women’s World Championship on the line against Hayter, but tonight, they’ll be face-to-face for an interview.

Hayter has promised to bring a different version of herself to this title bout. Statlander has welcomed all challengers, having expected that Hayter would come for the title after they were victorious as a team over Sisters of Sin at AEW Collision Winter is Coming. What will they say to each other before the words turn to blows at Worlds End?

Dynamite Diamond Ring Final: AEW National Champion Ricochet vs. ROH World Champion Bandido

In last week’s Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale, Ricochet and Bandido came away as the final two, so tonight, they’ll meet one-on-one. The winner will get the Dynamite Diamond Ring and a shot at the AEW World Title at Maximum Carnage on January 14 in Phoenix against whoever is the AEW World Champion at the time!

The stakes are high for this dream matchup that is happening for the first time tonight in New York City! Both enter as champions, and after tonight, either Ricochet or Bandido will have a chance to double their gold in the new year. Who walks away with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and a date with destiny for the AEW World Championship?

MJF in Action!

MJF made a shocking return last week in Manchester to execute his Casino Gauntlet AEW World Championship contract to turn the 3-way at Worlds End between AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland into a 4-Way. Now, MJF could be days away from regaining the AEW World Championship he lost to Joe two years ago at Worlds End. Before that, MJF will be in action tonight on Dynamite for the first time since August!

Mina Shirakawa vs. Marina Shafir

The rivalry between Timeless Love Bombs and MegaProblems rages on, with Shirakawa looking for revenge for “Timeless” Toni Storm after what went down in the 8-Woman Tag Match on Dynamite Holiday Bash last week. Shirakawa and Shafir have had plenty of battles over the last month, but tonight, they go one-on-one for the first time with no shortage of animosity between the two!
