AEW Dynamite Tonight: Preview for July 23 in Chicago
AEW World Championship Match (Everyone Banned from Ringside): Hangman Adam Page vs. Jon Moxley
The fierce rivalry between AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and Jon Moxley reignites tonight with the championship on the line and all parties banned from ringside. Following their brutal and unforgettable Texas Death Match at AEW All In: Texas, Moxley challenged Hangman to one more showdown. Hangman accepted–but as the champion, Page insisted that this match would be contested under the stipulation he wanted, guaranteeing a one-on-one fight.
Expect an intense and relentless war as these two indomitable competitors square off once more for AEW's ultimate prize.
AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm & Alex Windsor vs. ROH Women’s World Champion Athena & Billie Starkz
A week of mounting tensions leads to tonight's explosive tag team encounter. Last Wednesday on Dynamite, Alex Windsor saved Toni Storm from a vicious post-match assault by Athena and Billie Starkz, appearing to thwart Athena’s attempt to use her guaranteed title shot on a vulnerable Storm. On Collision, Storm reciprocated by rescuing Windsor from another attack by Athena and Starkz following Windsor’s match against Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship. Tonight, these fierce rivals battle in a grudge-fueled tag team showdown.
AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Quarterfinal: The Outrunners vs. The Young Bucks
The AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament heats up tonight with the third of four quarterfinal matches in the tournament. Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd are determined to secure another shot at championship gold, as they showed their mettle against The Hurt Syndicate back at AEW Revolution but came up short of title glory in that match. Standing in their path are the former EVPs, the Young Bucks, who are eyeing a historic fourth AEW Tag Team Title reign while they try to shake off the lows of losing their EVP titles.
The victorious duo tonight moves one step closer to a coveted title opportunity at Forbidden Door.
Ricochet vs. Mark Briscoe
Mark Briscoe looks to capitalize on the momentum from his main event victory over Claudio Castagnoli on last week’s Dynamite as he squares off against Ricochet tonight. Briscoe will undoubtedly be looking for payback for Ricochet’s victory over Briscoe in a punishing Stretcher Match at AEW Double or Nothing. But it’s worth keeping in mind that Ricochet has found new allies in Gates of Agony (or, as he insists, “GOA”) that weren’t by his side the last time these two men battled one-on-one.
MJF Appears Live
Fresh off the success of his role in "Happy Gilmore 2" and holding a contract for a future AEW World Championship match, MJF should be flying high. Yet not all is rosy in Max’s world. After heated confrontations last week with Bobby Lashley and Mark Briscoe, the outspoken former AEW World Champion is scheduled to speak live tonight on Dynamite.
