AEW Dynamite Preview

It’s a Thanksgiving Eve tradition! We’re LIVE in Nashville, Tennessee, at The Pinnacle, for AEW Dynamite 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TBS and streaming on HBO Max! And tonight, we begin wrestling’s greatest tournament!

The 2025 Continental Classic kicks off with three huge matches, including last year’s winner, AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, starting the defense of his crown against fellow Don Callis Family member and now former TNT Champion, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, in Gold League action.

Also in the Gold League, we’ll see what should be an outstanding first-time matchup between Darby Allin and “The Jet” Kevin Knight, who will be making his Continental Classic debut! And in Blue League action, you won’t find a bigger clash of styles than Jon Moxley vs. Máscara Dorada, who also makes his Continental Classic debut!

Plus, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament moves to the semifinals when Babes of Wrath, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, face the Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart and Skye Blue! And The Opps will celebrate Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship victory over “Hangman” Adam Page at AEW Full Gear Presented by DC!

It all goes down tonight on the Thanksgiving Eve Dynamite in Nashville! Here’s your complete AEW Dynamite preview for November 26, 2025.

AEW Dynamite Matches, Preview for Wednesday, November 26

Continental Classic Gold League: AEW Unified Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (0 points) vs. “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (0 points)

Last year, Kazuchika Okada won the 2024 Continental Classic to successfully defend his AEW Continental Championship, a title he’s held for more than 600 days since beating Eddie Kingston on March 20, 2024! Since then, Okada defeated Kenny Omega at July’s AEW All In to win the AEW International Title and become the AEW Unified Champion.

To remain AEW Unified Champion, though, Okada will have to repeat as the 2025 Continental Classic winner. If he does, Okada will break the tie with the legendary Masahiro Chono for most major tournament wins, which currently stands at five, which would unquestionably make him the greatest tournament wrestler of all-time!

However, Okada will have a stiff test from the jump against the only man to beat him in last year’s Continental Classic, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, who went on to win the Blue League before losing to Will Ospreay in the semis at AEW Worlds End 2024. And while Don Callis is thrilled to have both Okada and Fletcher in the Gold League (and Konosuke Takeshita in the Blue League), the tension within the Family has been palpable, as we saw when Fletcher declared his entry in the Continental Classic after neither Okada nor Takeshita were there to support him when he lost the TNT Championship to Mark Briscoe at Full Gear.

How will the Don Callis Family handle two of their foundational players squaring off with so much on the line? Will Fletcher notch a rare second victory over Okada in only their third match ever? Or will The Rainmaker begin his chase of tournament history with a statement victory?

Continental Classic Gold League: Darby Allin (0 points) vs. “The Jet” Kevin Knight (0 points)

Just four days after losing a physical battle to PAC at Full Gear, Darby Allin returns to the Continental Classic for the second straight year and will open the tournament with a first-time opponent in “The Jet” Kevin Knight of JetSpeed!

This will be Knight’s Continental Classic debut. However, he has plenty of tournament experience this year alone, including the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Best of the Super Juniors, which he has been part of for the last three years. Of course, in AEW, Knight has primarily been active in the tag ranks alongside “Speedball” Mike Bailey, who is also part of the Gold League.

Last year, Allin scored 7 points and finished fourth in the Gold League, although that came in the midst of his early battles with the Death Riders. And speaking of the Death Riders, Allin will have a chance at redemption with PAC also in the Gold League. But before that, Allin has to focus on a motivated Knight, who is looking to use this tournament to catapult himself to greater heights in AEW. This first-time matchup is what the Continental Classic is all about!

Continental Classic Blue League: Jon Moxley (0 points) vs. CMLL World Trios Champion Máscara Dorada (0 points)

Jon Moxley returns to the Continental Classic for the first time since the tournament began in 2023. Moxley tapped out to Kyle O’Reilly in their no-holds-barred match at Full Gear, only 10 days after tapping to O’Reilly in Blood & Guts. Moxley hasn’t won a singles match since early October, and he’ll have to turn that trend around quickly if he wants to win his first Continental Classic.

Moxley lost to Eddie Kingston in the inaugural Continental Classic Final back in 2023 and had a strong showing in the 2019 G1 Climax in NJPW, so he’s well aware of what it takes to handle such a grueling schedule.

Máscara Dorada makes his Continental Classic debut after what’s been a highlight-filled year, including a successful defense of the CMLL World Trios Titles with Neón and Místico of El Sky Team against Okada, Takeshita and Hechicero of the Don Callis Family at Full Gear. Dorada has competed in more than 20 tournaments for CMLL, with multiple victories.

Other than a Trios Match in February 2024, Moxley and Dorada have never faced off before, so this first-time singles match will be quite the interesting way to start the Continental Classic for both men. Can Dorada take advantage of Moxley’s recent struggles, or is this the night Moxley gets back to the win column?

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal Match: Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue)

While the Continental Classic begins, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament continues, as we move to the final four teams in the semifinals. The Babes of Wrath and Sisters of Sin have been fighting it out for months, so it only makes sense for the two sides to meet with a chance to punch their ticket to the final.

Neither team was able to win the 4-Way Tag Match at Full Gear to pick the stipulation for this semifinal match, so they’ll go at it straight-up. However, Nightingale and Cameron will have to be cognizant of Thekla’s toxic efforts to aid her sisters in Triangle of Madness. Which team will secure a shot at becoming the first AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions? We’ll find out in this semifinal showdown in Nashville!

The Opps Celebrate New AEW World Champion Samoa Joe

HOOK shocked the world when he knocked out “Hangman” Adam Page with the AEW World Championship and revealed he was still loyal to The Opps en route to Samoa Joe defeating Page to become a two-time AEW World Champion!

Tonight, HOOK, Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata will celebrate the new AEW World Champion, as The Opps begin a new, golden chapter. What will HOOK have to say for his actions? How will Joe address the return of Swerve Strickland after his victory at Full Gear?
