AEW Dynamite

With one week until Blood and Guts, it’ll be a high-stakes night of action on AEW Dynamite at the Bayou Music Center in Houston, Texas, LIVE tonight at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TBS and streaming on HBO Max!

The Blood & Guts Advantage Battle begins tonight, as representatives from the men’s and women’s teams will fight for the right to enter first in Blood & Guts. The team that wins two out of three matches earns the advantage.

For the men, Orange Cassidy battles Claudio Castagnoli in Match 1 while Darby Allin faces Daniel Garcia in Match 2. If necessary, Roderick Strong and Jon Moxley would settle the tie in Match 3 this Saturday on AEW Collision!

On the women’s side, Mina Shirakawa will take on Megan Bayne in Match 1, after Queen Aminata was not cleared by doctors following an injury last week on Dynamite. The competition will continue on Collision with Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue in Match 2, and Harley Cameron vs. Thekla in Match 3, if necessary.

In addition, the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament continues with quarterfinal action. TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena take on Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron. Plus, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page teams with HOOK and Eddie Kingston in a non-title match against the AEW World Trios Champions, The Opps! All that and more is coming your way tonight from Houston!

Here’s your complete AEW Dynamite preview for November 5, 2025.

AEW Dynamite Matches, Preview for Wednesday, November 5

Men’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 1: Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli

In the first of three potential men’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle matches, The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy takes on the Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli. Cassidy was the one who begrudgingly called for Blood & Guts, so he’ll have the first chance to help gain an advantage for his team in a stiff matchup with Castagnoli.

While the two have fought many times in and out of the ring, Cassidy holds the lone one-on-one victory, a successful AEW International Title defense that took place back in November 2023. This one isn’t about titles. It’s about who strikes first in the Blood & Guts Advantage Battle!

Men’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 2: Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia

As the second match on the men’s side of the Blood & Guts Advantage Battle, either Allin or Garcia will have the chance to clinch the advantage for their team before we even get to Collision, based on the outcome of the first match. And while that raises the stakes, these two don’t need a lot of motivation to fight each other.

It was Garcia who stabbed Allin in the back when he joined the Death Riders in Philadelphia two months ago. Last week, Allin and Orange Cassidy defeated Garcia and Wheeler Yuta in a Trick or Treat Tornado Tag Match. Later in the night, it was Allin who helped run off the Death Riders, which led to the Blood & Guts challenge.

Will it be Allin or Garcia who comes away with a pivotal (and potentially decisive) Match 2 victory?

Women’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle Match 1: Megan Bayne vs. Mina Shirakawa

This was originally scheduled as a first-time, hard-hitting matchup between Queen Aminata and Megan Bayne in the opening match of the Blood & Guts Advantage Battle on the women’s side. Unfortunately, Queen Aminata was injured in the opening match of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament last week on Dynamite. Despite her intentions on fighting through it, Aminata was not cleared and will step aside in the Blood & Guts match.

Mina Shirakawa will take her spot, and she has plenty of motivation after losing her Collision undefeated streak to Thekla last week. So tonight, Shirakawa will face Megan Bayne in the first match of the women’s Blood & Guts Advantage Battle – and “Timeless” Toni Storm will make her return to AEW on commentary!

Is Shirakawa ready for such a tall task on short notice? Who will take the first match in the Advantage Battle?

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal: TBS Champion Mercedes Moné & ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron

The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament continues tonight with a quarterfinal match dripping in gold. The ROH Women’s World Champion for 1,062 days, Athena, teams with TBS Champion Ultimo Moné against Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, the Babes of Wrath.

These two teams are well acquainted, especially after Nightingale and Cameron saved AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander from a two-on-one attack at the hands of Athena and Moné last week on Dynamite.

Moné will be on the opposite side from the Babes of Wrath next week in Blood & Guts, but tonight, the focus is all about the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Tournament.

Non-Title Trios Match: AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page, HOOK, & Eddie Kingston vs. AEW World Trios Champions The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs)

Last week, Page kept up his Halloween tradition of being a master of disguise by portraying Tony Schiavone to fool Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs after Joe won the Fright Night 4-Way to earn a rematch with Page for the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear presented by DC on November 22.

It was HOOK who Joe submitted to win last week, and while HOOK admitted he was caught, he lives to fight another day. Tonight, HOOK and Kingston will have Page’s back against The Opps when they fight it out in a non-title Trios match in Houston!

We’ll Hear From FTR

FTR outlasted Jurassic Express, JetSpeed and the Young Bucks in last week’s Fright Night 4-Way to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido at AEW Full Gear. Tonight, we’ll hear from Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler and Big Stoke, as they look to become three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions in 17 days. What will they have to say to Brody King and Bandido?
