***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Jim Ross were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.

This is the final stop before AEW’s DOUBLE OR NOTHING –Saturday, May 23rd, live on pay-per-view at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT)!

A limo pulled up outside the venue and dropped off The Inner Circle. They told AEW interviewer Alex Marvez that they had a surprise in store later for The Elite.

Kicking off tonight’s program: AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. 10 (with “The Exalted One” Mr. Brodie Lee) in a non-title match!

Mr. Brodie Lee had possession of Mox’s title belt; the minions of The Dark Order surrounded him. Mr. Brodie instructed 10 to take a knee while he addressed the audience at home:

“I assure you I cannot walk on water and as you look at me, it may be hard to fathom. But I am no god. I am a man. A man who has come into possession of a very, very special piece. And I must win on Saturday to pay off the loyalty of these men in The Dark Order.”

Mr. Brodie Lee and The Dark Order left 10 to battle Mox by himself.

Mox charged 10 with a running high knee. Mox dumped 10 over the top with a shoulder capture suplex!

“He is taking it all out on 10 right now,” said Tony Schiavone.

“Can you imagine what this main event on Saturday means to Jon Moxley?” asked Jim Ross.

10 hit a pump kick and Mox spilled to the outside. He rammed Moxley into the steel barricade. 10 was looking to injure Mox ahead of Mox’s upcoming championship title defense this Saturday. 10 dropped Mox with a spine buster!

Mox escaped a fireman’s carry attempt by 10 and wiped him out with a DDT! Mox planted 10 with a Gotch-style pile driver! Then Mox spiked 10 with the Paradigm Shift for the victory!

After the match, Mox placed 10’s arm in between a steel chair and then put his boot on it to apply pressure. Mox told Mr. Brodie that he was going to give him ten seconds to correct the mistake and return his championship belt or he would break 10’s arm!

“You have made your bed and you have made this personal. During these times, we all have to make sacrifices. For tonight, I’m leaving,” said Mr. Brodie Lee on a microphone backstage.

“All right, see ya Saturday,” shrugged Jon Moxley, who then obliterated 10’s arm and shoulder with the steel chair!

MJF (accompanied by Wardlow) vs. “Mr. Fun Size” Marko Stunt was up next!

MJF bullied Marko with a body slam. He placed Marko into a bear hug after daring Marko to punch him in the abs. MJF suplexed Marko to the mat and then strutted across the ring.

“MJF is effectively undefeated in an AEW ring,” noted Excalibur.

Marko tried to fight back but MJF began pounding him with punches. He swung Marko across the ring by his hair like a ragdoll. Marko fought out of the corner and staggered MJF with two dropkicks. Marko connected under MJF’s chin with a jumping knee strike. On the outside of the ring, Marko used his speed and the environment, but MJF caught him with a strike of his own! MJF used a shoulder breaker and then the Salt of the Earth arm bar to cause Marko to submit!

MJF gave Marko an uppercut with the “Dynamite Diamond Ring” after the match! Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus came to Marko’s aid. MJF and Wardlow stormed off.

This Saturday it’ll be MJF versus Jungle Boy!

Jake “The Snake” Roberts and “Nightmare Family” head coach “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson joined Tony Schiavone inside the ring at a table to discuss this Saturday’s match between their clients, “The American Nightmare” Cody and “The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer. Mike Tyson will be on hand to crown the first TNT Champ too!

“You’re not used to showing up alone. But get used to it. People have dreams. They have nightmares. We all know those aren’t real. But Lance Archer is,” warned Jake Roberts.

“Jake you almost made me believe you. Almost. You and I are two guys who are called credible. You’ve got a killing machine in Lance Archer—“ said Anderson before being interrupted by Roberts.

“Only Six, maybe eight feet separate us at this table right now,” threatened Roberts.

“As much as I’d like to Jake…decorum. But let’s talk about “Iron” Mike Tyson. He’s going to present the TNT Championship to the winner on Saturday, but he’ll also have free reign. Are you going to throw that stupid snake at “Iron” Mike?” asked Anderson.

“Actually I was hoping that bimbo Brandi would be presenting the belt because I’d love to bump into her again,” smirked Roberts.

“Cody said he has to win Saturday because he’s not just Dusty Rhodes’ son, he’s not just Dustin Rhodes’ brother, he’s one of the leaders who has made AEW what it is. And there’s some good news Jake. Does everyone know Jake’s been doing DDP Yoga? Good, because I want you to be real limber when I spine buster your ass!” said Anderson.

The table was knocked down, Jake pushed Tony Schiavone, and Jake and Arn both raised their fists. Before they came to blows, AEW officials separated Arn and Jake!

“The Bastard” PAC had a message from England for Orange Cassidy. “Rey Fenix is going to send you to your maker Orange Cassidy. Consider yourself warned.”

“SuperBad” Kip Sabian carried a ladder out to the ramp and perched himself on it. Cassidy turned around to look at Kip.

Rey Fenix hit a low blow on a distracted Orange Cassidy and got the win!

Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky came out of the back and pushed Kip off the ladder. Jimmy Havoc went to the aid of Kip and things broke down into a Pier 6 brawl! “Boom Boom” Colt Cabana spring boarded off the ropes and crash-landed on the other wrestlers outside the ring! Best Friends launched Orange Cassidy onto everyone else!

This spectacular chaos was just a small taste of the Casino Ladder Match fans will be treated to this Saturday on pay-per-view!

Dr. Britt Baker, D.D.S vs. Hikaru Shida & “The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien” Kris Statlander!

Shida took the fight directly to Nyla and Baker, whipping them into the corner and then hitting her running knee strike. She then used a knee lift on Baker’s jaw!

“Shida has come to fight!” said Tony Schiavone.

Statlander and Shida dumped Nyla onto Baker in the corner! Nyla tagged in, but Statlander picked her up on her shoulders and then dropped her right down. Shida hit a missile drop kick on Nyla! She tried to take Nyla over with a suplex but Nyla countered it with her own suplex!

Nyla pinned Shida after the brutal Beast Bomb!

After the match, Nyla brought a table into the ring and placed Shida on it. Nyla went to the top rope but Shida was bought a little time as Statlander tried to take Nyla down. Shida got up and suplexed Nyla off the top rope through the table!

Alex Marvez interviewed AEW Champ Jon Moxley backstage: “This Saturday Brodie Lee is going to sleep and he’ll have lost the match and whatever power he thought he had. It was nice knowing ya!”

The Shawn Spears Network had some breaking news.

Spears claimed “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes has retired. Spears asked why “The Chairman of AEW” doesn’t have a match at DOUBLE OR NOTHING, so he challenged Dustin to a match this Saturday!

“I haven’t heard anything about Dustin Rhodes retiring,” said Jim Ross, “so it’s booked for this Saturday. Shawn Spears versus Dustin Rhodes at DOUBLE OR NOTHING!”

It was time for the main event! Representing The Inner Circle, it was “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara against “Broken” Matt Hardy, who was representing The Elite!

Hardy (as Damascus) whipped Sammy into the corner turnbuckles. Hardy took Sammy to the outside and dropped Sammy’s throat across the metal barricade. Hardy rammed Sammy’s shoulder into the steel ring post!

Sammy avoided the Twist of Fate and countered it with a superkick to the back of Hardy’s skull! Hardy blocked a cutter from Sammy, good for a two-count!

Sammy took flight over the top rope and crashed down onto Hardy on the outside of the ring!

Sammy kicked out at the last moment after Hardy hit the Side Effect on him! Sammy tried to pick up Hardy but Hardy countered.

“How do you come up with a strategy for something so vast as a Stadium Stampede Match?” asked Schiavone.

“Literally anything goes this Saturday at DOUBLE OR NOTHING,” replied Excalibur.

Sammy hit several superkicks on Hardy, who refused to lose! Sammy went for a shooting star press but Hardy moved! Hardy tried for the Twist of Fate but Sammy kicked out! Hardy removed Sammy’s wrestling boot and chomped down on his foot!

“These guys are pulling out all the stops,” said Schiavone.

Sammy went for another shooting star press but Hardy knew better! He pinned Sammy after the Twist of Fate!

Hardy, looking for retribution for Vanguard 1, brought a steel chair into the ring! Hardy’s revenge on Sammy was cut short as The Inner Circle were shown on the big screen at the top of the ramp.

The Inner Circle had Kenny Omega restrained at the field goal post! Jericho swung his baseball bat at Kenny’s abdomen!

The Young Bucks made their triumphant return and jumped from the stadium wall onto The Inner Circle!

“Hangman” Adam Page sprinted down the entirety of the football field in his cowboy boots to even up the numbers on The Elite’s side against The Inner Circle! Jericho and his squad retreated after a wild brawl with The Elite.

Page walked away by himself into the distance and Hardy yelled after him, “C’mon Page!”
