AEW Fright Night Dynamite Results: October 28, 2026 – Queen Aminata Wins TBS Title, AEW World Champion Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher Set for Full Gear, The Cut Takes Out Claudio Castagnoli, More.

AEW Fright Night Dynamite was live on TBS and HBO Max from Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri! Both the TNT Championship and TBS Championship were on the line while The Cut tried to take out the Death Riders once again, and Motor City Machine Guns and FTR broke their 1-1 tie in Match #3! All of this just one week from Blood and Guts in Jacksonville!
Queen Aminata finally has her first AEW gold after defeating Persephone in the main event of Fright Night Dynamite! Aminata survived a belt shot from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., to overcome the stacked odds and put away Persephone thanks to Off With Her Head to become the TBS Champion! Aminata celebrated to end Fright Night Dynamite with many members of the locker room.
The night began with The Cut defeating the Death Riders when Jay White put Daniel Garcia down with a Blade Runner after some timely interference from Clark Connors amidst lots of activity at ringside. On this occasion, the Death Riders held the ring during the first of two brawls. Later, a confrontation between Marina Shafir and AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné was the perfect opportunity for The Cut to sneak attack AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley at the commentary desk. During this second brawl, The Cut overcame another onslaught from Claudio Castagnoli to take him out with three shillelagh shots and a Blade Runner on the exposed concrete floor!
Kyle Fletcher beat “Jungle” Jack Perry. Fletcher then declared his intentions for the AEW World Championship, and the match was made official for Full Gear, where Fletcher will challenge AEW World Champion Will Ospreay! Ospreay’s teammate in Blood and Guts, TNT Champion Darby Allin, survived a brutal challenge from Josh Alexander to retain his title. Plus, the Motor City Machine Guns took Match #3 from FTR to take a 2-1 lead in their Best-of-5 Series! And Swerve Strickland used Bandido to make a bloody request for Full Gear!
Here’s everything that went down on Fright Night Dynamite!
AEW Fright Night Dynamite Results From St. Louis
The Cut ("Switchblade" Jay White and David Finlay) def. Death Riders (AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley and Daniel Garcia)
We began the night in front of a red-hot St. Louis crowd with Moxley and Garcia making their way through the wall of support on their way to the ring. The Cut got quite the opposite reaction, not that they cared in the slightest. White teased starting the match with Moxley, but tagged out before they touched to start the mind games. Finlay ate the brunt of Moxley’s frustration with a shoulder block and multiple chops in the corner. Garcia tagged in, and they used Finlay like a wishbone. Finlay quickly turned things around and moved Garcia to the corner to tag White. White took over on Garcia with chops, but Garcia took White down with a Dragon Screw. Garcia tagged Moxley, so White dove to tag Finlay. White tried to attack Mox from behind, but Mox was ready and nailed White! However, that allowed Finlay to take Mox down with a chop block. With Moxley properly softened up, White tagged in to pick apart the Continental Champion. White stayed on Moxley’s leg and wrenched it to the mat, despite Moxley landing some desperation blows along the way. White tried a cover with a forearm in Moxley’s face, but Mox kicked out. Moxley fought out of a headlock with a side suplex and tagged Garcia! He unloaded on White and took him down with a running clothesline!
Garcia mounted White in the corner, so Finlay tried to intervene, only for Garcia to stack Finlay in front of White and haul off on both men! The crowd loved every punch! Garcia took White to the mat and locked in a Dragon Tamer! Finlay pulled White to the floor to break it up, so Moxley and Garcia chased after to continue the fight on the floor! Garcia had control in the ring until White snapped him to the mat with a Dragon Screw of his own. Garcia had a moment of hope when he knocked White out of the corner and brought Finlay down with a counter Twist and Shout! He finally tagged Moxley, who hit rapid-fire punches and a big bite of Finlay in the corner. He followed with a monstrous lariat and a delayed piledriver. Moxley knocked White off the apron and threw him into the steel steps. Moxley returned to the ring and put Finlay in a choke before transitioning between submissions. White stomped a wide-open Moxley to break it up. Finlay followed with a backbreaker over his knee that left Moxley wincing in pain. White stalked Moxley and thought he had a Blade Runner lined up, but Moxley turned it into a Paradigm Shift!
Garcia tagged in and went into the patented Death Riders attacks in the corner for a frightening amount of time before Mox dropped White with a cutter! Moxley took out Finlay with a dive to the floor while Garcia rolled White into a very close near fall. Ace Austin jumped up on the apron, but was taken out by Wheeler Yuta’s Busaiku Knee! The people love Yuta! What in the world?!
Garcia cracked White with an overhand chop, and while the referee was still distracted by what was happening on the floor, Clark Connors snuck into the ring to cut Garcia in half with a spear! White nailed Garcia with a Blade Runner and got the pinfall victory for The Cut! White didn’t have a chance to get off the mat before both sides got reinforcements, which turned into an all-out brawl highlighted by yet another one-man wrecking crew performance by Claudio Castagnoli! Connors was the victim of a giant swing, and the Death Riders held the ring!
Moxley grabbed a mic and asked The Cut where they were going because the Death Riders were just getting started! Moxley said if this is the game they want to play, then at Full Gear…
“ANARCHY IN THE ARENA!”
The crowd chanted, “ANARCHY!” The Cut exited up the ramp while the Death Riders showed they had plenty left in the tank by knocking out some push-ups.
Women’s Blood and Guts is Set for Next Week!
We went back to the initial challenge from Wrathlander and Willow Nightingale on Collision after Triangle of Madness got involved in Wrathlander’s tag match with Divine Dominion. Nightingale said they have AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Brawling Birds to back them up, so the challenge was on for Blood and Guts!
Triangle of Madness and Divine Dominion vs. AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions The Brawling Birds, Wrathlander and Willow Nightingale
"The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher of The Don Callis Family def. "Jungle" Jack Perry
With Callis on commentary, the crowd made it clear what they thought of him using their usual four-letter word. Fletcher left the ring to hug Callis. When Fletcher returned to the ring, Perry went to the floor and hugged Taz! After the affection ended, Fletcher and Perry came together in the ring, with Fletcher quickly taking Perry down. Perry fought back up, so Fletcher cut him off with a big bodyslam. Perry out-quicked Fletcher to send him to the floor. He tried to follow out with a slide, but Fletcher caught him and attempted a half-and-half suplex. Perry elbowed his way out, so Fletcher pushed him towards the steel steps, which Perry avoided by sliding under the turnbuckles to go under the ring. Fletcher lost track of Perry, who came out the other side for a flying dropkick that knocked Fletcher into the barricade. Fletcher came back with a huge forearm and tried to send Perry into the opposite barricade, only for Perry to reverse it, and Fletcher went chest-first into the protective barrier! With Fletcher doubled over on the barricade, Perry walked down the adjacent barricade and dropkicked Fletcher in the back! He sat up with a wink and smile, which the St. Louis crowd happily ate up!
Perry tried to send Fletcher back in, but before he could get in, Fletcher came rushing back at Perry with a flying boot! As Perry tried to get back up, Fletcher blasted him with a PK to the chest! Fletcher got on the turnbuckles to pose and celebrate his leg strength, which gave him a huge advantage! The beatdown continued around the ringside area with plenty of use of the barricades. Perry threw weak shots at Fletcher in the ring, so Fletcher answered with bodyslam after bodyslam, with Perry getting up every time! Perry fired up with a chop and a comeback lariat. He seemed to find his second wind and nailed Fletcher with a pair of dives through the ropes, but on the third, he tried to pull up and crashed on the floor! Fletcher took advantage with a powerbomb on the apron! Fletcher went for a brainbuster on the apron, but Perry escaped and hit a pair of stiff shots before a hurricanrana from the second rope to Fletcher on the apron that sent both men crashing to the floor! Perry wasn’t done and came off the second turnbuckle connector for a moonsault to the floor again! Perry threw Fletcher back in and hit a top-rope moonsault press to get a near fall!
Fletcher stopped a lariat attempt with a nasty Snap Dragon Suplex and tried to continue the assault with a running boot, but Perry countered with a dropkick. Fletcher came back to crush Perry with the running boot in the corner when Perry celebrated a little too early. That gave Fletcher the chance to hit a Sheerdrop Brainbuster, but Perry somehow got his shoulder up in the nick of time, much to the chagrin of Fletcher and Callis. Fletcher put Perry on the top turnbuckle, so Perry fought back and bit Fletcher on the top of the head before powerbombing him on the way down, which may have included a bite on the inside thigh! As Tony Schiavone noted, that was a move straight out of The Chase! Fletcher kicked out of a stacked-up pin to stay alive!
Perry tried a deadlift piledriver multiple times until Fletcher countered with a backdrop. He picked up Perry again for a lawn dart, but Perry slipped behind and nailed a Poisonrana! Fletcher was down on his knees, so Perry backed up for his running knee, but Fletcher was ready for it and tried a Michinoku Driver, which Perry reversed into a Snare Trap! Fletcher got to the ropes to force the break. This crowd chanted, “THIS IS AWESOME!” Perry worked Fletcher over in the corner and put him on the top turnbuckle to go for Samoa Joe’s Muscle Buster! Fletcher stopped it, so Perry changed course and tried for an Avalanche Hurricanrana, but Fletcher stopped him and pulled Perry back up, and Perry snapped Fletcher over with a hurricanrana! Perry went to the top, but Fletcher took him out with a thrust kick to the gut on the way down. He quickly picked up Perry and spiked him with a lawn dart into the corner, followed by his high-velocity boot! Fletcher threw Perry’s lifeless body on the top turnbuckle and brought him down with an Avalanche Sheerdrop Brainbuster into the steel cable ropes on the way down! That was a brutal landing! Fletcher covered the destroyed Perry for the three-count and victory.
Jake Doyle and Mark Davis entered the ring and put Fletcher on their shoulders. He got a mic and pointed out that he just beat someone who was supposed to be a pillar of this company. Last week, he beat a legend in Adam Copeland and AEW World Champion Will Ospreay. Fletcher said Davis and Doyle will become AEW World Tag Team Champions. Fletcher said he’s beaten Ospreay at Full Gear before and he will do it again. He dared Ospreay to put the AEW World Championship on the line because Fletcher believes he’s the uncrowned AEW World Champion. He said no one can touch him because he is the best, and at Full Gear, he’ll prove it.
A Special Look at the Blood and Guts Matches
We took a special look at both Blood and Guts Matches, voiced by the legendary Dean Malenko! It all goes down next week at Blood and Guts in Jacksonville!
Swerve Leaves Bandido Bloody for Another Texas Death Request
Renee Paquette introduced Creed and Kofi to the ring. Paquette asked about their AEW World Trios Championship rematch set for Full Gear, and they immediately wondered why Swerve wanted to make it a Texas Death Match. Kofi said they came to AEW to face the best competition, but afterward, they want to go home to their families. Creed said the match doesn’t sound appealing because to lose, they have to die?! Kofi said that wasn’t quite how it worked, but they do have to hate their opponents. They haven’t been around long enough to hate them that much. They kinda like Bandido and Brody King. They barked. They even kinda like Hangman. What they like even more is walking out of Full Gear as AEW World Trios Champions!
King stormed to the ring asking where Bandido was, but Creed stopped him and asked where Swerve was. Hangman stopped them with a mic from the ramp, and when he got in the ring, he pleaded with them that Texas Death was not the answer. He looked right at King and said King doesn’t understand what the match does to you. With Swerve, he lost years of his life, and it nearly ruined him. He said he told Creed and Kofi that Swerve would show them who he was, and it looks like he has. New Level doesn’t know where Swerve is, and King doesn’t know where Bandido is. Page said no matter what, don’t give Swerve what he wants. The crowd started to stir as Prince Nana appeared on top of the stage. He pointed up at the video boards. We saw a bloodied and beaten Bandido sitting on the ground somewhere while Swerve walked towards Bandido holding his mask. Swerve said the match isn’t quite good enough, and you know how this ends. Give us the match, he asked, because he won’t ask again. He put Bandido’s torn mask back on his lifeless body and walked away.
Back in the ring, The New Level pleaded that they had nothing to do with what happened. Page stopped King and told him they didn’t know. They said the same and said it had nothing to do with them. Page convinced King to go with him to look for Bandido.
The Don Callis Family Look Ahead to Blood and Guts and Full Gear!
Callis stood with his Family and you have to wonder what the other team at Blood and Guts is thinking. He watched Fletcher beat Ospreay twice. Davis and Doyle are going to break the Young Bucks and take the AEW World Tag Team Championships. And what about Adam Copeland? Okada mocked Copeland’s bloody head. Callis said Josh Alexander will end Darby Allin tonight, once and for all. Alexander said this team will end Allin next week, but tonight, he’ll take his TNT Title. Callis asked Okada to name the one thing this team has, and Okada gleefully responded, “Family!” We then learned that Tony Khan made AEW World Champion Will Ospreay vs. “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher official for Full Gear!
Best-of-5 Series, Match #3 (MCMG Lead 2-1): Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) def. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler)
Stoke was dressed as “The Godfather of Soul,” James Brown, complete with a customized red robe for this tie-breaking Match #3. Shelley and Harwood opened the bout with Shelley controlling Harwood early before tagging Sabin, who hopped over Shelley to come down on Harwood’s arm. Harwood came back with a bodyslam on Sabin and tagged Wheeler, who got rolled right back to an armbar by Sabin. Sabin hit an armdrag after Harwood made a blind tag, but Sabin took Harwood back down with an armdrag, and Shelley tagged back in with another shot to Harwood’s taped-up arm. Harwood answered with a stiff punch, but it wasn’t enough to slow down Shelley. Sabin tagged in and MCMG completed the Dream Sequence! Wheeler tried to intervene, but he was hit with PKs from the front and back by Sabin and Shelley. FTR regrouped with Stoke on the floor while the fans chanted, “MOTOR CITY!” That was especially impressive in St. Louis.
Harwood chopped Shelley in the corner as Stoke attempted to distract referee Paul Turner. Harwood stayed on Shelley and tried a cover, but Shelley kicked out. Harwood worked Shelley into the corner with uppercuts and chops, so Shelley turned him around and unloaded with machine-gun chops! He mounted Harwood for punches, which brought Wheeler in, and he caught a right hand from Shelley. The teams exchanged reversals out of the corner with MCMG getting the better of it twice, including a pair of thrust kicks that sent FTR to the floor.
Harwood quickly turned things back around with a well-timed elbow to the face of Shelley, which made him the target of FTR’s attack for the next few minutes in a perfect execution of cutting Shelley off from Sabin. Finally, Shelley broke free long enough to tag Sabin and held the ropes open for his partner, so Sabin could hit a dive onto FTR standing on the floor. Sabin went up top and nailed Harwood with a diving crossbody, but Harwood rolled through for a near fall. Sabin countered into a near fall of his own and dropped Harwood with an enzuigiri. Wheeler caught Sabin with a powerslam, but wound up eating the turnbuckle on a flatliner from Shelley. Harwood pulled Shelley out of the corner for a Slingshot Powerbomb, but Shelley wasn’t the legal man, and Sabin used the mistake to roll up Harwood for another near fall! A rare mistake from Dax!
Harwood dropped Sabin with a nasty three-strike combo and then put him on the top turnbuckle. He called for Wheeler to go up for a PowerPlex, but Shelley grabbed Sabin’s legs, and Sabin headbutted Dax to the mat. Wheeler got down and shoved Shelley into the ring post! Shelley’s face bounced off the steel, and he twisted in a heap onto the floor! Sabin kicked Wheeler down and tried to stay up top, but Harwood stopped him with a punch. Wheeler tagged in and FTR connected on Power and Glory from the corners on Sabin! He kicked out at two!
Sabin avoided a Shatter Machine and sent Wheeler to the floor. Harwood missed a charge on Sabin in the corner, and MCMG came back with dual kicks. Shelley tagged in and tried to go up top, but Harwood sent Sabin into Shelley, which knocked Shelley to the apron. Harwood wailed away on Shelley until Shelley tried a sunset flip, but Wheeler held Harwood from the apron until Sabin kicked Wheeler away and Shelley rolled up Harwood for yet another near fall. MCMG ran Harwood into Wheeler on the apron, and they collided head-on, so Shelley got another rollup for another near fall. A pair of thrust kicks dropped Harwood and MCMG went for their own version of Shatter Machine until Wheeler broke it up. FTR got in position for their own Shatter Machine, but this time, Shelley knocked Wheeler out of the way. MCMG got their Shatter Machine version on the second attempt, but Harwood still kicked out again!
Shelley went up top and splashed Harwood as Sabin hit Harwood with a neckbreaker. Wheeler dove in to make the save in the nick of time. Shelley saved Sabin from Wheeler, so Wheeler ran Shelley into Sabin and hit Shelley with a Chaos Theory-style German Suplex! Harwood flipped over Shelley for a jackknife pin attempt, but Shelley rolled through it and hooked a leg for a three-count as Wheeler missed the chance to break it up by a split second!
The Motor City Machine Guns go up 2-1 and are one win away from winning the series! Both teams got a standing ovation after the match, so Sabin and Shelley offered handshakes. Wheeler and Harwood accepted, which allowed Stokely to throw powder at MCMG! Harwood grapevined Shelley’s knee on the mat, so Wheeler came off the top to stomp it! The crowd rained down boos as FTR left, pleased with their post-match attack.
Queen Aminata and Persephone Face Off Before TBS Championship Match
Lexy Nair was with both participants of the TBS Championship match as well as Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., who was dressed as Miss Trunchbull. Nair tried to ask Aminata about the main event, but Baker cut it off and tapped into her Halloween costume to run down Aminata. Aminata told her to stay out of it and addressed Persephone. She knows who she is and remembers last year when she got knocked out of Blood and Guts. She will knock Persephone’s head off and take the TBS Championship. Persephone mocked Aminata and said she’ll be as pathetic as she was last year while “Perse Two Straps” beats the hell out of her again.
Ilja Dragunov Wants to Fight Tommaso Ciampa!
Ciampa said you’re looking at the next AEW National Champion. He should have won at WrestleDream, but Andrade cheated, and the referee didn’t see it. That’s why Ciampa attacked Andrade last week, and Andrade isn’t here this week. On Fright Night Collision, Ciampa will face St. Louis’ own Matt Sydal. He hopes Andrade gets the message that he wants his title and his rematch to show he’s the greatest signing in AEW history. He started to say he was sick and tired of waiting, but was interrupted by a now-familiar metronome, and Ilja Dragunov was in the building! Dragunov conducted the crowd on his way to the ring and continued as Ciampa watched with an annoyed look on his face.
Dragunov questions Ciampa’s statements and wants to put them to the test. He knows Ciampa has a match for Collision, but there’s nothing stopping Ciampa from fighting Dragunov right here, right now in St. Louis. Ciampa pushed his forehead into Dragunov’s and then backed away, saying not tonight before calling Dragunov a jackass on his way out of the ring.
The Conglomeration Challenges The Cut for Collision
Renee Paquette was with Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy to ask them about what went down with The Cut. O’Reilly said they seem Conglomeration-obsessed, but Strong yelled, “KYLE!” He said he didn’t care about the reasoning. He was sick of being laid out. Strong challenged any three members of The Cut to face them on Fright Night Collision.
Tony Khan made it official: The Gunns and Juice Robinson vs. The Conglomeration on Saturday night!
"The Problem" Marina Shafir def. Rachel Armstrong
AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley joined commentary for this matchup. Armstrong offered a handshake for some reason, so Shafir kicked her across the ring. Shafir whipped Armstrong sternum-first into the turnbuckles and picked her up for a splash in the corner, followed by mounted punches and a litany of judo throws. Armstrong had no answers, so Shafir had a chance to catch her breath before taking Armstrong’s away with a kick to the ribs. Shafir lifted Armstrong in a delayed double underhook before dropping her across the knee. Shafir threw Armstrong down again and locked in Mother’s Milk for an immediate tap-out victory!
Shafir grabbed a mic and called out AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné with some colorful language. Moné answered immediately and asked why Shafir wants to keep calling her a “p***y.” She has bigger balls than Shafir and her whole Death Riders crew combined. If she wants a shot at the title, let’s see if she can handle this. And with that, Moné hauled off and slapped Shafir across the face! Moxley was giggling on commentary while the crowd chanted, “YOU F***ED UP!” Shafir shook it off and put her hands behind her back to give Moné free shots. Shafir absorbed them all and went for a knockout shot on Moné with a headkick, so Moné fell to the mat to avoid it. As Shafir stalked Moné in the ring, David Finlay, Clark Connors and Ace Austin attacked Moxley! Gabe Kidd came to help Moxley as Shafir chased Moné into the crowd. Connors laid out Kidd with a tire iron, and The Cut bailed as Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta chased them away. However, The Cut had backup waiting on the ramp and quickly overcame the Death Riders with a big numbers advantage.
Claudio Castagnoli appeared at the top of the ramp with a trash can, so Austin Gunn sprinted at him and wound up getting the trash can thrown off his head and right back into the hands of Castagnoli! He put it down and dropped Colten Gunn on top of it with a tilt-o-whirl backbreaker. Castagnoli caught a diving Ace Austin and chucked him aside. Castagnoli was briefly overcome by the numbers, but broke through a double clothesline only to get hit with a chair by Juice Robinson. Castagnoli rose back up and goozled Robinson over the top rope to the floor. Castagnoli turned around to catch Connors using the tire iron, so he ripped it away and sent Connors flying to the floor. White tried a low blow, but Castagnoli blocked it with the tire iron! Robinson came back in, but Castagnoli grabbed him and threw Robinson into White. Finlay clobbered Castagnoli with the shillelagh, but needed a second shot to finally take Castagnoli down. They lifted him back up, and White told Castagnoli to remember that The Cut did this to him before White hit Castagnoli in the back of the head with the shillelagh. The Cut posed over the fallen Castagnoli as the crowd booed them out of the ring, but not before Robinson feigned urinating on Castagnoli.
The Cut wasn’t done, as they pulled the protective padding away on the floor. Moxley tried to battle through to make the save, but was subdued. That allowed White to spike Castagnoli’s head into the exposed concrete with a devastating Blade Runner!
TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) def. The Don Callis Family's Josh Alexander
Alexander entered first, and while Allin made his way to the ring, Renee Paquette gave her ringside report before the match, but didn’t get to finish when Alexander attacked before the bell! He stomped Allin in the corner as Callis joined commentary. Alexander dropped off the apron to slam Allin down with a forward slam on the corner of the ring. Alexander knocked Allin from the apron with a diving crossbody to put him back on the floor. Alexander followed with a Dragon Screw into the barricade, followed by another into the steel steps. Allin was screaming in pain as he was thrown back into the ring.
Alexander continued to pick apart Allin until Allin hit him with a pair of boots in the corner and stomped him from the top turnbuckle. They fought on the apron with Alexander turning an ankle lock into a release German Suplex! Alexander pulled Allin’s arm around the ring post and then got back in the ring to drop him on the arm with a high-angle suplex. Alexander celebrated on the ropes too long with his back to Allin, so Allin shoved him onto the apron and to the floor! Allin couldn’t put together any sustained offense, as Alexander was able to keep up the assault.
Allin blocked another German Suplex on the apron by grabbing Alexander’s leg to sweep him to the floor. Allin tried a Coffin Drop from the top, but Alexander caught him on the floor and hit a release German Suplex on the second attempt. Alexander was slow to grab Allin, so Allin pulled him down into the ring skirt to trap him. Allin pounded away and took out Alexander with a torpedo dive through the ropes! Back in the ring, Alexander tried another ankle lock, but Allin grabbed Alexander’s headgear to temporarily blind him while he knocked Alexander to the mat. He put on the Scorpion Death Lock, but Alexander got to the ropes, so Allin went up for a Coffin Drop. Alexander was up in time, so Allin caught him in the ropes with a Dragon Screw and followed with a Coffin Drop that smashed Alexander on the apron! Allin grabbed a chair and sat Alexander in it. He went back to the top, and that allowed Alexander to roll away. Allin tried to follow after, but Alexander swept his leg on the apron. Alexander set two chairs up next to the apron and jumped off for a Tombstone Piledriver through the chairs! He threw Allin in and covered, but Allin somehow kicked out!
Callis called for reinforcements, so RPG Vice ran out, but they were stopped by someone in a clown mask at ringside. It was Steven Borden! He neutralized Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero on the floor. Alexander locked Allin in an ankle lock once again, and Allin couldn’t find a way to escape, so he fell back onto Alexander to trap his shoulder for the three-count out of nowhere! Allin retains!
After the match, Borden and Allin were backstage, and Borden addressed Callis’ concerns about trust, namely that he was teaming with the Young Bucks next week, a team his family has a lot of history with in AEW. Borden wondered aloud why his first match back was Blood and Guts. Maybe it’s because he wants this. Maybe it’s because he and his family know a little thing about two rings, one cage. And look at the team he has behind him. Darby Allin said he doesn’t want to talk. He wants blood, and he wants guts!
TBS Championship Match: Queen Aminata def. TBS & CMLL World Women's Champion Persephone (c)
Baker, still dressed as Miss Trunchbull, was out with Persephone for our main event! Persephone tried to mess with Aminata in the early going, so Aminata went for Chocolate Kisses, which the champion quickly escaped. She slapped Aminata, which didn’t go over well, as Aminata asked for more. Persephone switched to targeting Aminata’s neck and elbowed the surgically repaired area. Aminata escaped Persephone on the apron with a gut shot and followed with a spinning facebuster. She gave Persephone Chocolate Kisses and immediately connected with a PK.
Aminata went to the ropes, but Baker distracted her, which allowed Persephone to grab Aminata for an Electric Chair Drop onto the top turnbuckles! The champion used every part of the ring and the ringside area to keep the pressure on the challenger. Back in the ring, Aminata showed signs of life with a short flurry and a near fall. Aminata blocked a vertical suplex with a twisting neckbreaker. That gave her the chance to go back up top and come down with a double stomp for a close two-count! Persephone came back with a spear! She started tearing at the KT tape on Aminata’s neck and pulled her over with a bridging German Suplex for a near fall.
Aminata blocked a Lionsault by getting her knees up and quickly hit Off With Her Head, but Baker pulled Persephone to the floor before Aminata could capitalize. Persephone pulled Aminata off the apron by the shoulders, but Aminata slipped out and knocked Persephone onto a chair. Aminata ran down the apron and crushed Persephone with a diving dropkick that sent the champion flying out of the chair and crashing into the floor! While referee Aubrey Edwards checked on Persephone, Baker blasted Aminata with the TBS Title!
Baker threw Aminata back in and told Persephone to finish the job. Persephone came off the top with a moonsault press, but Aminata managed to kick out in time! The crowd chanted for Aminata as both Baker and Persephone were frustrated beyond belief. Aminata slipped out of Persephone’s crucifix bomb attempt and cracked Persephone with a Queen’s Crown headbutt! Persephone was out against the ropes, so Aminata used Off With Her Head to finish off the champion and get the three-count! Queen Aminata is the NEW TBS Champion and has her first AEW gold! Many members of the women’s locker room came out to celebrate with Aminata as pyro and confetti went off to end Fright Night Dynamite!
