Full Gear Tailgate Brawl Preview

Before AEW Full Gear Presented by DC goes live at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT tonight on HBO Max PPV from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, the one-hour AEW Full Gear Tailgate Brawl will be LIVE at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on TNT and streaming on HBO Max!

We’ll see four matches before Full Gear officially gets underway, featuring “Big Boom” AJ and QT Marshall facing RPG Vice, a $200K 4-Way Tag Team Match, HOOK and Eddie Kingston taking on The Workhorsemen, and Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero challenging El Sky Team for the CMLL World Trios Championship. That’s in addition to the Full Gear Zero Hour, which is also available on digital platforms, and all of the epic action on the Full Gear main card.

Here’s your full AEW Full Gear Tailgate Brawl preview for November 22, 2025, before Full Gear in Newark!

AEW Tailgate Brawl Matches, Preview for Saturday, November 22 Before Full Gear

CMLL World Trios Championship: El Sky Team (c) (Máscara Dorada, Neón and Místico) vs. The Don Callis Family (AEW United Champion Kazuchika Okada, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita and Hechicero)

On a night where five championships will be decided on the Full Gear main show, we’ll also see this title match as part of Full Gear Tailgate Brawl!

This past Wednesday on a special 3-hour AEW Dynamite and Collision, Okada defeated Dorada in a Double Jeopardy Match, where the winner would earn a future title shot. By winning, Okada secured this CMLL World Trios Championship opportunity for the Don Callis Family, and Callis wasted no time in announcing that Okada, Hechicero and, in his return from Japan, Takeshita would be challenging El Sky Team at Tailgate Brawl.

While Callis put together a formidable trio, Okada didn’t seem enthusiastic about the announcement, as the tension between The Rainmaker and Takeshita has only increased in recent weeks. Will El Sky Team come away with their third successful defense of the CMLL World Trios Titles? Or will Callis get his guys on the same page to bring some more gold to the Family?

$200K Tailgate Brawl 4-Way Tag Team Match: Anthony Bowens & Max Caster vs. The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn) vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith

Money may not buy happiness, but one of these four teams should be feeling very good after walking away from Full Gear Tailgate Brawl with $200K!

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster will once again have to put their constant bickering aside and come together if they want to cash in tonight. But to do so, they’ll have to outlast their recent rivals, Big Bill and Bryan Keith, as well as Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn of the Bang Bang Gang, who’ve had their own issues with Bill and Keith. And don’t forget about the Outrunners, who have a new outlook since joining forces with Dalton Castle.

Which team will come out of Full Gear Tailgate Brawl $200K richer?

Tag Team Match: Boom & Doom (“Big Boom” AJ and QT Marshall) vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta)

One year ago at Full Gear Zero Hour, “Big Boom” AJ had a wildly successful AEW debut when he defeated QT Marshall. Tonight, those two will walk into the Prudential Center once again, but this time as partners.

Last month, Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta crashed AJ’s WrestleDream watch party and attacked him in front of Big Justice. Marshall, meanwhile, has been dealing with his own problems involving the Don Callis Family on Ring of Honor, leading to AJ saving him last month. Marshall admitted he and AJ might not be friends, but they’ll put their differences aside to take on their common enemies.

Can Boom & Doom find the chemistry to take out Romero and Beretta? This tag team showdown goes down in Newark tonight!

Tag Team Match: Eddie Kingston & HOOK vs. The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry)

Kingston and HOOK wanted a fight at Tailgate Brawl, so Drake and Henry stepped up to the challenge! The Workhorsemen will try to slow down the momentum of Kingston and HOOK, who have yet to lose as a duo. These two teams will collide in tag team action!
