AEW International Championship 4-Way Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Brody King vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Máscara Dorada
"The Best Bout Machine," Kenny Omega, puts his AEW International Championship on the line against three formidable challengers: Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli, and Máscara Dorada. Brody King secured his spot by defeating Josh Alexander, showcasing his brute strength and dominance. Claudio Castagnoli earned his place with a victory over Komander, bringing his technical prowess and European style to the mix. Máscara Dorada, representing the high-flying lucha libre tradition, clinched the final spot by defeating Hechicero in a thrilling contest on AEW Collision. This diverse combination of wrestling styles promises a thrilling contest for the International Title.
Jon Moxley vs. Mark Briscoe
In a deeply personal grudge match, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley faces off against Mark Briscoe. At Double or Nothing, Briscoe's interference cost the Death Riders a victory, leading to Moxley choking him out during a mixed trios match on Dynamite. Briscoe, determined to prove his resilience and regain his family's respect, challenged Moxley to this non-title bout. This confrontation is about more than just wrestling—it's about pride, redemption, and settling scores.
Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa vs. Julia Hart & Skye Blue (with Mercedes Moné on commentary)
AEW Women's World Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm teams up with Mina Shirakawa to take on the duo of Julia Hart and Skye Blue. The rivalry intensified when Storm saved Shirakawa from an ambush by Hart and Blue. Adding intrigue to the match, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné will provide commentary, potentially scouting her opponent for the upcoming AEW Women's World Championship match at All In Texas.
FTR vs. Atlantis Jr. & Templario
FTR’s Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler, arguably the greatest tag team on the planet, face off against CMLL stars Atlantis Jr. and Templario. This match was set up after FTR issued an open challenge to any lucha team on AEW Collision. When Atlantis Jr. and Templario answered the call, FTR mocked the luchadors' heritage, particularly targeting Atlantis Jr.'s legendary father, Atlantis. The verbal jabs escalated into a physical altercation, with Atlantis Jr. and Templario standing their ground and challenging FTR to a match at Fyter Fest.
This encounter not only highlights the ongoing relationship between AEW and CMLL but also showcases the rich tapestry of wrestling styles and traditions. FTR's classic tag team approach will be tested against the high-flying and technical prowess of Atlantis Jr. and Templario, promising a match that honors the past while potentially forging new rivalries.
La Facción Ingobernable vs. Komander, Kevin Knight & "Speedball" Mike Bailey
Tonight at AEW Fyter Fest, a high-octane trios match will see La Facción Ingobernable (RUSH, Dralístico, and The Beast Mortos) clash with the dynamic team of Komander, Kevin Knight, and "Speedball" Mike Bailey. This bout is the continuation of escalating tensions and confrontations over the past month.
The animosity reached a fever pitch recently when RUSH distracted Bailey and Komander during a match, allowing Dralístico to launch a surprise attack. Meanwhile, Kevin Knight returns from an exciting stint in NJPW's Best of the Super Juniors tournament to help his allies even the odds against LFI.
Thekla's AEW In-Ring Debut
After making a shocking appearance on AEW Dynamite last Wednesday by attacking Jamie Hayter, "The Toxic Spider" Thekla steps into an AEW ring for the first time. Her debut match is highly anticipated, as fans are eager to see what the newcomer brings to the women's division. The identity of her opponent remains a mystery, adding intrigue to her in-ring introduction.
The Hurt Syndicate Speaks
The AEW World Tag Team Champions will address the AEW audience tonight following their successful title defense at Double or Nothing. This appearance marks their first live collective statement since MJF's official induction into the faction.
MJF's journey to joining The Hurt Syndicate was marked by persistence and controversy. After weeks of attempting to earn the trust of Lashley and Benjamin, MJF was finally accepted into the group on the May 14 episode of Dynamite: Beach Break, with an official contract signing held the following week.
At Double or Nothing, The Hurt Syndicate successfully defended their AEW World Tag Team Championships against the Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara). During the match, MJF's attempted interference played a pivotal role. At one crucial moment, Bobby Lashley intervened to stop MJF’s interference, before the two were able to get on the same page ahead of The Hurt Syndicate’s win.
How will this group approach the future? We’ll likely start to find out tonight at Fyter Fest.
