She's been part of AEW for several months now, but it wasn't until this past weekend that "The Toxic Spider," Thekla, sat down with RJ City for the first time on Hey! (EW).
And to no one's surprise, Thekla's debut was as entertaining as it was wide-ranging. This is a woman who has evolved from a punk musician to an artist and, at the same time, one of the most violent women in all of professional wrestling.
Thekla is effortlessly cool. RJ ... is not. And that made for one of the most fun episodes of Hey! (EW) so far. Let's dive into some of the best moments from this week's episode.

Thekla on Toxic Behaviors
Who better to ask about some of the moxt potentially toxic things you can do to another human being than the Toxic Spider herself? RJ came with quite the list, and Thekla brought the goods.
Ghosting? That elicited a non-judgmental "Eh," from Thekla.
Breaking up via text? The same, in a slightly different pitch.
Not responding to text then posting on social media? "Not great."
Gaslighting? "That's not great either."
Saying, "I'm sorry that's how you feel"? "That's gaslighting. That's the same thing."
Saying you wrestle "Strong Style" without ever having been to Japan? "Eh, let them have some fun."
Finally, sh*tting in the shower: "I'm waiting for that day to happen." When RJ clarified he meant on purpose, not an accident: "If he likes it, or she, OK."
RJ Is Concerned About Thekla's Hips (At His Own Peril)
In a completely abrupt subject change toward the end of the interview, RJ, without prompting, simply said, "I'm worried about your hips."
Thekla's response: "That's disgusting. You should not be worried about me."
"I can't care about you?" RJ replied.
"Not about my ****ing hips! ... Medical can be concerned about my hips. You have no business being concerned about my body."
RJ being RJ, he continued the line of questioning. Check out the full episode to see how that went for him.
The Evolution of a Toxic Spider
Growing up, Thekla played the violin and participated in both martial arts and ballet. But as a young adult, she became, in RJ's words, "involved in the underground Vienna punk scene." That led to Thekla playing in punk bands, which we'll let her describe:
"Yeah, we, we sucked at playing. And usually like halfway into the first song, I was like, What? What are we doing right now? This does not sound at all like what this is supposed to sound like.'
"And then the next thing would be a beer can thrown at my head. That would wake me up usually. And then I kind of start putting like, turn the amp on, 'cause that's sometimes what I forgot to do."
Music was the gateway to wrestling for Thekla, as she was introduced to the sport at a Rock and Roll Wrestling Bash. She trained for several years in Vienna in promotions without ropes before heading to Japan.
But along that winding journey, Thekla had received her MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree, and she is now quite the accomplished artist, as well. RJ noted that many of her featured works depict women beating each other up in a wrestling setting, to which Thekla replied, "That's, that seems to be wildly popular. And it's what inspires me."
That's a good combo!
On RJ's "RJ City is All Elite" Graphic
In one of the highlights of the show, RJ discussed how Thekla was on probation when she first came to AEW after being fired from STARDOM for beating up an executive. Once her probation was over, Thekla got her "THEKLA IS ALL ELITE!" graphic on social media -- something RJ has yet to receive.
Thekla used that moment to fire off a razor-sharp barb at RJ: "Maybe you'll still get it someday. But will it mean anything at this point? At this point it would be an insult if you actually get it, right?
"I'd love for you to get it."
