AEW Collision

We are back in Houston to close out a tremendous week of action with AEW Collision at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TNT and streaming on HBO Max from the Smart Financial Centre, with AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door just over one week away on June 28 in San Jose.

The Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament Semifinal takes center stage tonight as ROH Women's World Champion Athena faces her former protégé, Maya World, with a spot in the Finals against Mercedes Moné at Forbidden Door on the line.

Zack Sabre Jr. returns to Collision ahead of his highly anticipated clash with Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door, taking on Adam Priest. And after helping back Omega against ZSJ and TMDK on Dynamite, the Young Bucks and Jack Perry collide with The Lethal Twist – Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson – in six-man tag action

Plus, the TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest field continues to take shape, as Mina Shirakawa faces Kris Statlander in a qualifying match. "The Bastard" PAC is also on the hunt for gold after challenging Shota Umino for the IWGP Global Championship, and he’ll be in action tonight. Former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Hurt Syndicate look to climb back to the top of the tag division, so we’ll see Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin handle business in the ring. You won’t want to miss when Dante Martin squares off with lucha libre royalty in Místico. And with plenty of animosity between them, Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa meet face-to-face on Collision!

Here's everything you need to know about tonight's AEW Collision in Houston!

AEW Collision Matches, Preview for June 20, 2026

Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament Semifinal: ROH Women's World Champion Athena vs. Maya World

A chance to try to win the Owen Cup at Forbidden Door is on the line tonight, with Mercedes Moné waiting for the winner in the Finals. World was proudly trained by Athena, so she believes everything Athena taught her can help her to get the job done. Athena was quick to remind everyone that she didn't teach World everything she knows, however. Perhaps that’s true, as Athena holds a 3-0-1 record over World.

Athena has been the most dominant women's champion in ROH or AEW, so when World took her to the time limit in an ROH Women’s World Championship Proving Ground match back in March, it made everyone take notice. World wasn’t able to beat Athena for the ROH Women’s World Title later that month, but she takes that valuable experience into tonight’s match. While World continues to fight with a heavy heart after the tragic death of her brother, she’s more motivated than ever with the opportunity of a lifetime to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Title at All In: London. Can the student finally beat the teacher? Or will the chip on Athena’s shoulder from Owen Cup losses of the past push her to her first Finals appearance and a rematch with Mercedes Moné?

The Elite’s Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) & "Jungle" Jack Perry vs. The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian and Lee Johnson)

The Young Bucks and Jack Perry had Kenny Omega's back on this week's Dynamite when TMDK stood strong alongside Zack Sabre Jr., following Omega’s victory over Tony Nese. Tonight, they face a different kind of test in The Lethal Twist. The Bucks' first consequential matches with Lethal go all the way back to 2010, so they know each quite well. And back in February on Collision, the Bucks turned back a spirited challenge from Christian and Johnson.

Tonight will be the first time these two sides meet in Trios action, in what should be a spectacular affair!

Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Adam Priest

Zack Sabre Jr. and TMDK confronted Kenny Omega on this week's Dynamite after Omega’s victory over Tony Nese, and the tension between them made it abundantly clear that Omega and ZSJ’s Forbidden Door clash on June 28 will be a prideful test of who is the better internationally renowned wrestler. Tonight, Sabre Jr. returns to action on Collision for the first time since last August when he takes on the unrelenting Adam Priest!

TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifier Match: Mina Shirakawa vs. Kris Statlander

The road to crown the next TBS Champion runs through Houston, as Mina Shirakawa and Kris Statlander meet in a Survival of the Fittest Qualifier, with the winner advancing to join Hikaru Shida and CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone in the six-way match on the July 1 edition of Dynamite.

Shirakawa has been enamored with the idea of winning her first title in AEW, so she knows the weight of this opportunity. On the other side, you have Statlander, a former TBS Champion and the first woman to ever win both the TBS Title and AEW Women’s Championship. Statlander would love to regain the first championship she won in AEW. Statlander beat Shirakawa in her first defense of the AEW Women’s Title last September. Can she do it again tonight, or will Shirakawa pull the upset?

Dante Martin vs. CMLL World Trios and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Místico

As the Forbidden Door begins to open, tonight brings a spectacular showcase of what happens when competition from all over the world can meet in an AEW ring. Martin is a breathtaking aerial master with the speed to take over a match in a matter of seconds. He’ll need to find every chance to strike because for the first time ever, he’ll be in there with a lucha libre legend in Místico! The beloved luchador is back on Collision for the first time since April, and this one has the potential to be a highlight reel in real time!

Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa Face-to-Face!

Tommaso Ciampa hates everything about the current-day version of Jericho, but that wasn’t always the case. He respected the man who innovated and re-invented himself over and over, but he has no time for the Jericho he sees today.

Jericho has continued to poke and prod at Ciampa with jokes, but he’s also questioned if Ciampa really wants to face the man who was the first AEW World Champion for a reason. Moreover, Jericho wants to make sure Ciampa understands exactly who he's dealing with.

What happens when these two come face-to-face tonight in Houston?

"The Bastard" PAC in Action

PAC has made his intentions crystal clear, challenging NJPW’s Shota Umino for a shot at the IWGP Global Championship at Forbidden Door, as Umino just won the title in a three-way with Andrade El Ídolo and Drilla Moloney at NJPW Dominion. And just this morning, at the legendary Yuji Nagata’s Blue Justice XVIII in Japan, Umino agreed to the match!

Tonight, PAC is in action on Collision, and the Death Rider will look to show why he’s in top form and ready to be Umino’s first challenger for the IWGP Global Title.

The Hurt Syndicate ("The All Mighty" Bobby Lashley and “Standard of Excellence” Shelton Benjamin) in Action

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin are former AEW World Tag Team Champions, and they want to be back on top. The Hurt Syndicate will take their business to the ring tonight in tag team action on Collision!
