AEW Collision Results

It was a special Slam Dunk Saturday AEW Collision on TNT and streaming on HBO Max! The madness didn’t stop on the court, as we saw the best wrestling in the world on display tonight in Fresno, California!

Our night began with a TNT Title match pitting TNT Champion “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher against one of his trainers, Robbie Eagles. On this night, the student bested the teacher, as Fletcher came away with his third successful defense and the win.

The main event was a spectacular example of styles making matches, with Claudio Castagnoli and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders outlasting Máscara Dorada and Komander in a fantastic tag-team affair!

AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley and PAC addressed the return and attacks by Will Ospreay, with PAC making it clear he’d be happy to fight Ospreay again.

Plus, the Brawling Birds remained undefeated with a victory over Sisters of Sin! And LFI was dominant in Trios action!

All of that and more went down on Slam Dunk Saturday! Here are your complete Collision results.

AEW Collision Slam Dunk Saturday Recap Tonight for Fresno

TNT Championship: “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (c) def. Robbie Eagles

The night got off to a hot start with the TNT Title on the line! Fletcher toyed with Eagles at the early going, showing a lack of respect for the man who helped teach him. Eagles was able to outwrestle Fletcher, so Fletcher went to his power and slammed Eagles to the mat. Eagles came back with a flying head-scissors and a spinning heel kick. Eagles focused on Fletcher's left leg with kicks to the hamstring. Fletcher came back with a backbreaker and a full nelson slam!

Eagles kept trying to fight back, but Fletcher would cut him off over and over again. A dropkick to Fletcher’s leg put him on his knees, so Eagles nailed a shining wizard and then charged Fletcher in the corner. Fletcher caught a meteora and tried to turn it into a powerbomb, but Eagles escaped and connected with a sliced bread! Fletcher kicked out at two! Eagles went back to the leg and dropkicked it from the second rope. He went back up top and rolled through a 450 splash attempt only to turn right into a Michinoku Driver. Eagles kicked out, and Fletcher was beside himself.

Fletcher took a lot of time composing himself and begged for Eagles to fight back, which he did with a barrage of blows! Fletcher stopped him with a half-and-half suplex, but missed a kick in the corner, allowing Eagles to nail a springboard dropkick to put Fletcher down. Eagles locked in a reverse figure four leglock, and Fletcher nearly tapped before getting to the ropes. Eagles kicked Fletcher to the outside and followed with a somersault dive through the ropes! Eagles went to the top, but Fletcher cut him off and tried an avalanche brainbuster, but Eagles got out of it and suplexed Fletcher into the turnbuckles.

Eagles nailed a 450 splash on the damaged leg, but Fletcher rolled him into a near-fall. Eagles connected on a poisonrana and tried another sliced bread, but Fletcher got out, so Eagles lit him up with kicks. Fletcher dropped a charging Eagles with a lariat and followed with a lawn dart into the top turnbuckle. He smashed Eagles with a corner rocket kick and a sheer drop brainbuster to get the victory and successful TNT Title defense!

Jon Moxley Addresses Will Ospreay’s Return … and PAC Wants a Fight!

Backstage, Moxley said, “The Aerial Assassin is back in the game, and he’s got some big feelings.” Moxley referenced Ospreay saying he could break someone’s neck with his bare hands and took that to mean Ospreay was referring to his neck. Moxley said nothing like that will be happening. And they could talk about why Ospreay was “put in timeout,” but he probably wouldn’t get it. Ospreay is so talented, but Moxley hopes he can stay out of trouble.

“But if you’re determined to end up in the hospital…”

PAC stepped in and wondered what Ospreay’s beef was with him. PAC said he wasn’t even around when whatever happened to Ospreay happened to him. Although the truth is, they’ve never really gotten on.

“From the moment I shook your hand, I knew you were a prick.”

PAC continued, saying that if Ospreay wants to trek this path again, all he has to do is ask, and PAC would be there.

“I can’t wait to get my grubby little mitts around your neck.”

Trios Match: LFI (RUSH, Dralístico and The Beast Mortos) def. Alpha Zo, Dom Kubrick & Lucas Riley

Dralístico caught a kick from Riley and put him on the mat with a flying attack. He tagged Mortos, who chopped Riley and tagged RUSH. Mortos whipped Riley back into the corner so Dralístico and RUSH could keep the offense going, and then all three hit dropkicks to the sitting Riley! LFI posed, and RUSH pulled Kubrick over the top only to forearm him right out of the ring. Zo got a headbutt from RUSH to send him to the floor. Dralístico connected on a dive to Zo and Kubrick. Back in the ring, RUSH gave Riley the Bull’s Horns, and Mortos followed with a tornillo splash from the top! RUSH covered for the 1-2-3 and dominant win for LFI!

AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla on “Timeless” Toni Storm Attack

Lexy Nair was with Thekla and asked about the attack on “Timeless” Toni Storm. Thekla feigned sympathy before breaking out into laughter, prompting Lexy to ask if she had anything to do with it.

“Lexy, baby. I had everything to do with it. Toni Storm said she wanted her title back and then she saw what I did to Big Stat Daddy and she realized she might be ‘Timeless,’ but she’s not toxic. So she staged the whole thing, and then she ran home because she knows she can’t handle Thekla. This is not Toni Storm’s title. It’s nobody’s title, other than mine, of course. It looks like me, it sounds like me, it tastes like me. It is everything I am. My advice to the whole locker room is maybe you should all fake your own death because the reality is so much worse!”

Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) def. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue)

Hayter and Hart began this tag match, and Hayter’s power was too much, as she put Hart down with a backbreaker. Windsor tagged in and charged across to knock Blue from the apron. Windsor and Hayter hit an assisted Russian leg sweep, followed by a sitting lariat from Windsor. Blue came back in but was quickly knocked down. Hart and Blue were stacked in the corner, so the Birds unloaded with chops, and Windsor covered Hart for a two-count. Hart tagged Blue, and she traded chops and strikes with Windsor for an extended period until Blue raked Windsor’s eyes. Windsor took her right back down to the mat, but Hart nailed Windsor with a kick to the back from the apron. Hart held Windsor on the ropes while Blue attacked Windsor from behind. Blue knocked Hayter off the apron, and the Brawling Birds were in trouble!

Hayter found her way into the match and survived a flurry of offense from Sisters of Sin. Windsor came in to break up a double team, which knocked Hart out of the mix, but Blue sent Windsor back to the apron. Hayter fought through a lariat from Blue to hit a backbreaker on Blue across her knee! Windsor tagged back in and hit the ropes to finish it, but Hart cut her off with a dropkick to the outside. Sisters of Sin nailed a front suplex on Windsor, followed by stereo kicks and then two more kicks on Hayter to knock her from the apron once again.

Hart ran off the apron and connected with a cannonball to Hayter on the floor. Blue nailed a running knee on a kneeling Windsor, but Windsor kicked out at two! Windsor stopped Blue with a headbutt and charged into the corner. She put Blue on the top turnbuckle, so Blue fought her off and flipped herself into an avalanche sunset flip! Hayter came in to break up the pin! Hart pushed her to the outside and tagged back in. Windsor fought off the double team with a blue thunder bomb on Blue. Hayter tagged in for a lariat on Hart, and then the Birds sandwiched Hart in the middle with lariats. They finished Hart off with Two Birds, One Stone to remain undefeated!

Brody King Continues His Hunt for Gold

Lexy Nair asked Brody King about his loss to Swerve Strickland at Revolution, but he cut her off, saying that, because of Kenny Omega, he is standing here today.

“And Kenny, for that, I owe you one. And Swerve, after Kenny mops the floor with you, this is not over. But for now, the hunt for championship gold continues.”

Death Riders (Daniel Garcia and Claudio Castagnoli) def. Komander & Máscara Dorada

Before the main event, we took a look back at the AEW World Championship Texas Death Match last weekend at Revolution, which saw AEW World Champion MJF defeat “Hangman” Adam Page. MJF returns to Dynamite this Wednesday!

Castagnoli entered this match without the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship after losing it to Hechicero of the Don Callis Family at Arena México last night!

Garcia and Komander opened up this exciting main event, with Garcia putting Komander on the mat multiple times, punctuated by some unnecessary taunting. Garcia went after Komander’s mask, just as he did during Zero Hour last weekend, but Komander got away this time. Komander turned things around with a kick to put Garcia down long enough to tag Dorada. Komander tripped Garcia to the mat, and Dorada dropkicked Garcia in the head. Garcia escaped Dorada’s grasp to tag Castagnoli, who immediately slammed Dorada to the mat in a sheer force of power! Dorada used his speed to avoid Castagnoli until a flying head-scissors sent Castagnoli to the floor. Dorada looked to dive from the ring, but Castagnoli came right back in to drop him with an uppercut! Castagnoli fought Dorada near the ropes, but didn’t see Dorada make a tag to Komander. Castagnoli flipped Dorada to the apron only to eat a kick to the head from Dorada and then Komander before they both connected with springboard dropkicks to send Castagnoli back to the floor!

Garcia stepped in, but Komander decided to dive onto Castagnoli, who was waiting with an uppercut on the floor! Dorada dove onto Castagnoli, who caught him in midair and slammed Dorada onto the announce table. He held Dorada for Garcia, who nailed a running knee! The Death Riders had all the momentum, as the boos echoed throughout the arena. Garcia and Castagnoli kept Komander away from Dorada while continuing to dish out the punishment for quite some time. Garcia mounted Komander for nine punches in the corner so Castagnoli could follow with a running uppercut! Garcia threw Castagnoli into a kneeling Komander for another uppercut!

Komander kicked his way free of Castagnoli and escaped a charge in the corner to get on the top rope, but when he came down, Castagnoli caught him, only for Komander to reverse it into a facebuster! Komander DDTed Castagnoli and finally tagged Dorada, who went right to the top to hit an armdrag on Garcia, followed by a spinning head-scissors. Dorada and Komander met each other in the middle of a rope walk and nailed stereo moonsaults to the Death Riders on the outside! What a spectacular sight!

Back in the ring, Garcia was down, and Dorada went to the top, but Garcia moved out of the way, so Dorada landed on his feet. Dorada put Garcia down with an inverted crucifix Liger bomb, but Garcia managed to kick out! Komander tagged back in for some double-team offense that nearly finished off Garcia with a standing shooting star press, but Castagnoli broke it up. He tagged back in and executed a sunset flip/uppercut combo with Garcia, but this time, Dorada made the save on the pin attempt!

Komander controlled Castagnoli’s arm as he bounced up and down the ropes, but created space so that Dorada could dive through to Garcia on the floor! Komander came off the top with a hurricanrana into a pin attempt, but Castagnoli kicked out. Castagnoli caught Komander’s moonsault attempt and turned it into a tilt-o-whirl backbreaker! He quickly turned that into a giant swing, followed by the Neutralizer to get the victory in our main event! That will do it for Slam Dunk Saturday!
