AEW Dynamite Preview

AEW Dynamite returns to the Windy City this Wednesday night, broadcasting live from the historic Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL, at 8/7c on TBS and streaming on HBO Max. Just days removed from the unforgettable spectacle of AEW All In: Texas, the aftershocks continue to rumble—with landscape-altering fallout, comments from the Men’s and Women’s World Champions, and long-simmering rivalries spilling into Dynamite.

This week’s show features a live appearance from newly crowned AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page, who opens the night fresh off his punishing Texas Death Match victory over Jon Moxley. In the main event, Page returns to action alongside Mark Briscoe and AEW World Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs to face the unrelenting Death Riders. Plus, “Timeless” Toni Storm prepares to bask in the glow of her historic victory over Mercedes Moné, and much more.

Here’s your full AEW Dynamite preview for July 16, 2025:

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page Speaks LIVE

After a year defined by pain, betrayal, and redemption, Hangman Adam Page now stands once again atop AEW as World Champion.

At AEW All In: Texas, Page survived a harrowing Texas Death Match against Jon Moxley, a bout soaked in violence and attempts by the Death Riders to do whatever it took to keep Page from reclaiming the world title. Darby Allin and Bryan Danielson returned to even the odds against the Death Riders—but it was Swerve Strickland, Page’s bitter rival whom Hangman has been coming to terms with lately, who handed Hangman the steel chain that ultimately secured the victory.

Now, Hangman Page will speak live. What does the new champion have to say about Moxley, Swerve, and what lies ahead?

Victory Speech from AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm

At All In: Texas, the world witnessed a match that lived up to its billing—and then some—as two generational talents collided for the AEW Women’s World Title. In the end, it was “Timeless” Toni Storm who prevailed over Mercedes Moné in one of the most talked-about matches in AEW history.

Storm now returns to Dynamite to deliver her post-match victory speech, basking in the afterglow of a win that affirmed her place among wrestling’s absolute greatest. Will the spotlight-loving Storm stay gracious—or celebrate herself in true “Timeless” fashion?

Trios Main Event: AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page, Mark Briscoe & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta)

The war between Hangman Page and the Death Riders isn’t over.

Just days after submitting Jon Moxley in a brutal Texas Death Match at All In, the new AEW World Champion returns to the ring in a blockbuster six-man tag. This time, Page joins forces with Mark Briscoe, who nearly came away with a win in the Men’s Casino Gauntlet only to be stunned by MJF, and AEW World Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs to battle the Death Riders—Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta.

The Death Riders are seething after the events in Arlington, where surprise appearances and unlikely alliances cost them dearly. Hobbs, meanwhile, is out for vengeance after Castagnoli, Yuta and Gabe Kidd took out Samoa Joe in the opening match at All In.

$100K 4-Way Fight: Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander vs. Thekla vs. Queen Aminata

Money meets mayhem in a high-stakes clash featuring four of AEW’s most explosive women’s division stars.

Two bitter rivalries—Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander and Thekla vs. Queen Aminata—will converge in a $100,000 4-Way Fight. Emotions are sure to run hot as old allies-turned-rivals in Stat and Willow square off, while international animosity adds fuel to the fire between Thekla and Aminata. With $100K on the line and bragging rights at stake, expect all-out chaos when these four collide.

We’ll Hear From “The Rated R Superstar”

After a dramatic return at AEW All In: Texas, “The Rated R Superstar” is live on Dynamite—and he has something to say.

What’s next for Cope after reemerging on one of the biggest stages AEW has ever seen and making the save for his former friend, Christian Cage? Tune in tonight to hear directly from the wrestling legend.

8-Man Tag Team Match: Bandido, Brody King, Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Josh Alexander, Hechicero & The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson)

Eight of the world’s most dangerous and dynamic wrestlers meet in a blockbuster tag match.

ROH World Champion Bandido teams with Brody King and JetSpeed’s Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey to face the hard-hitting Josh Alexander, the enigmatic Hechicero, and the legendary Young Bucks. With tensions already high following Hechicero’s confrontation with Bandido at ROH Supercard, this match is primed for all-out war.

Kyle Fletcher vs. Máscara Dorada

Two of the world’s most exciting young stars go head-to-head in a singles bout that promises to light up Chicago as "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher faces off with the high-flying sensation Máscara Dorada in a first-time-ever showdown.

Kazuchika Okada in Action

At AEW All In: Texas, Kazuchika Okada defeated Kenny Omega in a match that lived up to their legendary rivalry, unifying the AEW Continental and International Championships in the process.

Now officially crowned the first-ever AEW Unified Champion, the Rainmaker makes his first Dynamite appearance as Unified champion and steps back into the ring just days after making history. Who will Okada face—and will anyone be able to stop his momentum?
