ONE MORE HEAD TO KICK...

“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs. John Silver

Bryan Danielson is right on the cusp of achieving what he came to All Elite Wrestling to accomplish: earning the AEW World Title and proving himself to be the best wrestler on the planet. From day one standing across the ring from Kenny Omega, “The American Dragon” has made it quite clear just what his intentions are, and anyone who has followed Danielson over the course of his career should know that he will do whatever he needs to do in order to get to his goal.

If it causes fans to embrace him or if it earns him their wrath, in the mind of Bryan Danielson the ends have always justified the means, and that has rarely been more evident than in the weeks since FULL GEAR 2021. Having earned his title opportunity by beating Miro in the World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals, Danielson has shown no hesitation in taunting Hangman Page and has actually shown some glee in decimating the World Champion's Dark Order friends. Evil Uno, Colt Cabana, and Alan “5” Angels have all felt the wrath of the number one contender, and in the case of the latter pair, Bryan has joyfully done it in front of their hometown crowds.

This week, Bryan aims to continue his streak of hometown humiliations when he takes on John Silver on his home turf. Silver started his wrestling journey on Long Island, he was born on Long Island, this is home in every aspect of life for “The Meat Man” and he is going to defend this turf with his heart, soul, and body. He is going to stand for his friends, like he has always done, in the face of any threat and there are fewer threats greater inside that wrestling ring than Bryan Danielson.

Clearly “The American Dragon” does not regard John Silver as a threat, referring to him as a joke and as being beneath Bryan, and if he heads into this battle with that mentality, than Danielson will be making a mistake too many before him have also made. Silver may be light-hearted in nature, the man most likely to have a jubilant smile on his face, but that genuine joy with life does not take away from the fact John is an absolute wrecking ball inside the squared circle. He is intense, he is fast, and he is strong; he can get down on the ring to grapple, he can drop a man on their head with a sick suplex, or he can fly at his foes outside the ring. In short: John Silver is a threat, and Bryan Danielson best be ready for a fight.

And waiting in the wings in one week's time: Hangman Page and the AEW World Title!

TAG TEAM BOUT...

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. CHAOS (Chuck Taylor & Rocky Romero)

Last week on DYNAMITE, Adam Cole joined the commentary team to presumably call the next match but before any proceedings got underway, “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy strolled out onto the stage, much to the ire of The Elite member. While Cole and OC had a bit of a staredown, The Young Bucks tried to creep out for a sneak attack but got caught in the act by Cassidy.

Well unfortunately for Orange, while he saw that sneak attack coming a mile away, he did not see the low blow from Adam Cole coming from behind, and thus was totally unable to do anything about the superkicks and BTE Trigger that followed. With OC left decimated on the stage, Wheeler Yuta and Chuck Taylor arrived on the scene just a bit too late to stop the assault, but at least they prevented any further damage being done to their friend.

With that assault in mind, and the insult Cole felt he endured just by Orange coming out onto the stage, Adam issued the challenge for any of Cassidy's friends to step up to the plate for a match this week on DYNAMITE. Adam likely expected Yuta and Chuck to be the ones answering the call, but instead Taylor extended his hand out to their new found friends in CHAOS and Rocky Romero reached right back!

Thus this Wednesday night, it will be Rocky Romero and Chuck Taylor, representing CHAOS, who step up to face The Young Bucks, representing The Elite of course, to do battle in tag team action! It's the first traditional tag team bout for the brothers Jackson since losing the World Tag Team Titles at ALL OUT 2021 but also the first time Chuck and Rocky have teamed since February 2019. There's no question the edge will always be on the side of The Young Bucks when it comes to tag team wrestling, but Matt and Nick are also fresh off the IR following the FULL GEAR 2021 Street Fight so the likelihood they are fighting at 100% is slim to none.

It's going to be a tremendous tag team contest this Wednesday night on DYNAMITE when CHAOS meets The Elite LIVE on DYNAMITE!!

ROADBLOCK...

Jamie Hayter vs. Riho

Suffice to say that, appearances to the contrary, all does not seem well in the camp of Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. Between Baker accidentally costing Jamie Hayter her match in the TBS Women's Title Tournament and Riho defeating Britt to earn a future shot at the Women's World Title, there might be something rotten in the state of Baker. Still, collectively they are insistent that everything has been hashed out and Baker, Hayter, and Rebel are back on the same page.

As such, Jamie Hayter has now been tasked with playing roadblock for Riho's bid to reclaim the championship she established as the first ever Women's World Title holder. This isn't a match for Hayter, although it would be a huge resume booster to defeat the first Women's Champion, it is far more a bout for the benefit of Dr. Britt Baker, and the hopes that Jamie could shut Riho down before the title match even occurs.

Is everything truly alright in between the Women's World Champion and her cohorts? Can Hayter accomplish the goal that the Good Doctor has set for her? Or will Riho survive this experience and move on to finally challenge for the championship she lost 22 months ago?

DYNAMITE DIAMOND BATTLE ROYALE...

Participants include: Lio Rush, MJF (2-Time Winner), Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks

***LAST TWO MEN STANDING WILL FIGHT ON 12/15 FOR THE DIAMOND RING***

For the third time, All Elite Wrestling presents the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale! In 2019, the battle featured a dozen men to start but would whittle down to MJF and Hangman Page. They would go onto to battle one-on-one a week later, with Max scoring the victory for his first tenure as the holder of the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

In 2020, the size of the Battle Royale would expand to 20 competitors but once against “The Salt Of The Earth” would emerge as one of the last two men standing. This time it would be “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy who would square off with MJF the following week, and once again Max would find a way to keep that ring in his possession for another year.

This year, in front of a hometown crowd that he is convinced will love him, Maxwell Jacob Friedman attempts to go for the Battle Royale hat trick! With the members of Team Taz already entered into the fray, as well as Lio Rush, it is going to be another tough night for Max as he tries to keep the ring on his finger yet again. Now that piece of jewelry has proven crucial to many of the successes MJF has achieved over the last two years, and as such something he probably feels is absolutely necessary to retain; not just for the bragging purposes, not just to have something to rub in CM Punk's face after their latest verbal sparring session, but also for the insurance policy the ring has become.

DYNAMITE hits your television screens at at 8pm EST/7pm CST on TNT, as well as at AEWPlus.com for our international fans, and with it comes Danielson versus Silver, Riho versus Hayter, The Young Bucks versus CHAOS, and more! Prepare for all the action by heading to the official AEW YouTube channel to watch this week's episodes of DARK: ELEVATION, AEW DARK, and ROAD TO!
